- KittySpark1es, on 09/06/2008, -5/+5I think that's actually an evangelical healing her of her extreme feminism.
- ciaran036, on 09/06/2008, -4/+8It's not feminism. It's anti-war. That's not extreme. That's normal human being who prefers not to allow the President of the land to murder under her name.
- zombo, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Its not anti-war its communism that inspires this POS.
- Bagitagain, on 09/06/2008, -7/+2As someone who is on the fence over who I will vote for, I found the disruptive behavior of the code pink and other people to be counter productive to the Democratic cause. I watched all four of the candidates convention speeches, and there were no such exhibitions while the Democratic candidates spoke.
Sorry ciaran, I do find the actions of these people to be crude, disruptive, and extreme. Do these "protesters" believe they are helping Obama's cause by behaving this way? By possibly turning off the swing vote to the Dem's ticket?- MattFromSeattle, on 09/06/2008, -1/+8Well in all fairness you can't link Code Pink's actions to the Democratic Party. While the majority of its members may be Democrats, Code Pink is its own organization and does not represent the Democrats or Obama, they represent themselves, citizens of the United States of America.
- ciaran036, on 09/06/2008, -3/+8What's more crude - sending thousands of people out to foreign countries to murder hundreds of thousands of people or a few people standing up to heckle those that support such ridiculous policies?
CodePink are not Obama supporters. Codepink protested at both the DNC and RNC. They know that neither candidate is worth voting for.
And what's more disruptive? - Invading and occupying Afghanistan and Iraq - in the process leaving 1.3 million people dead - or a few lone protesters being manhandled and silenced when they speak up against these bloody occupations which have been based on lies?
And extreme? Wearing a pink dress and shouting in the middle of a speech is extreme? Tens of thousands of detainees are being or have been held by the US - many (including those as young as 15 years old) being tortured to death - electrocution, waterboarding, sewing lips and eyes together, beatings etc. What's more extreme?
Democracy is dead in America. Those that interrupt the corrupt elite should be highly praised. - siszam, on 09/06/2008, -3/+4If your child was fighting in this illegal war and you had any sense you would be protesting the war too. These protesters are trying to save lives while you support the party that is murdering our troops. Supporting mass murder of your own countrymen for no reason is crude and extreme. It's funny how most of you murder loving Republicans are fighting this war you support or sending your children to.
- ciaran036, on 09/06/2008, -3/+2Its sickening to watch the RNC speeches when they applaud and give standing ovations to these insane people.
What I don't know is if these Republicans are just absolutely ***** brain-dead or they genuinely support the murder of people in foreign countries and the theft of natural resources. - Bagitagain, on 09/06/2008, -1/+2Did you read my post? I said that I am on the fence over who I am going to vote for.
Do you have access to my voter registration card? Sorry, I didn't know that I was a Republican. Thanks for letting me know that.
Ciaran, I did not draw a comparison between the protesters actions and the wars, so please don't presume to know what my opinion is. I made my comment to point out that the methodology of disrupting a convention speech only serves to alienate the swing vote and about half the country's voters to the cause that they stand for. The country is quite divided right now on a few issues, and shout downs don't do any help. - ciaran036, on 09/07/2008, -0/+1True, but there is no chance of being heard without shouting it out. Very few people in the US government and mainstream media are against the wars (or actually give a ***** at all), so it can be helpful to put your head above the parapet and shout the things that no-one else is.

- PHiZ187, on 09/06/2008, -3/+12The image of this guy with his hand over her mouth is pretty powerful symbolism.
- Minarchian, on 09/06/2008, -3/+8Exactly.
It's the new image of what America is about today. - siszam, on 09/06/2008, -3/+2Even as this ladies freedom of speech was being denied the Republicans were chanting USA, USA, USA. That's sick.
- ciaran036, on 09/06/2008, -3/+4Again, that raises the question as to whether they are just ***** stupid or they genuinely support the reduction of civil liberties...
- AchaIemoipas, on 09/06/2008, -1/+2@ciaran
Can't have one without the other.
- Minarchian, on 09/06/2008, -3/+8Exactly.
- badtzmartin, on 09/06/2008, -9/+4***** Medea Benjamin. She's a wing-nut wackjob. She wasn't invited to the event. She committed fraud in presenting someone else's ID to gain entry. ***** that wackjob.
- Minarchian, on 09/06/2008, -2/+8You certainly convinced me that *you're* not a whackjob.
- ciaran036, on 09/06/2008, -3/+4How exactly is she a "wing-nut wackjob"? I could talk for hours on how messed up John McCain is, by the way...
- CherrySmith123, on 09/06/2008, -1/+3This was messed up how they handled it tho....
