- weister42, on 11/04/2009, -9/+45I remember seeing a short porn clip where this chick was complaining about how the porn industry degrades women and she demands respect then all the sudden some guy just stuffed his ***** in her mouth.
It was awesome. - chicagojack, on 11/03/2009, -10/+33For that much money, I hope the guy got to Honk em
- DaDrake, on 11/04/2009, -4/+20So as a male, how can I make a female colleague say something sexist to me so that I qualify for a 3 million pound lawsuit?
Someone once mention my outfit, including socks with sandals, wasn't "stylish" .... reinforcing the harmful stereotype that men have no style. Does that count... cause really, at age 23... I would love to retire. - Ruefus, on 11/04/2009, -0/+12I know the one you're talking about. Very funny to watch.
- LokitheComplex, on 11/04/2009, -0/+12Its London.
- demooo, on 11/04/2009, -0/+9I think what you meant is that you are having psychological trouble every day attempting to dress to please women.
This sounds very serious and threatening to your mental health. Trust me, I can google psychological disorders, and I consent to being a witness in that regard. TO COURT MY DEAR DIGGER! - mysticalone, on 11/04/2009, -1/+9links or gtfo
- PeppermintPig, on 11/04/2009, -3/+10Might want to lay off the sake at the lunch meetings.
- disappointed, on 11/04/2009, -0/+7Canary Wharf is LONDON.
- DaDrake, on 11/04/2009, -0/+7Yes... the problem of the banking industry has everything to do with penises and nothing about politics. After all, it's not like the desire to increase home ownership by lowering credit standards, making realestate a de facto tax haven, and creating up congressional mandates to increase ownership with "under representative" groups (AKA... people with no credit) had anything to do with it. It also has nothing to do with the prevailing "wisdom" that homes are an asset, not a liability, and there is nothing inherently troublesome with 30-year adjustable mortgage.
Your comment eluding that the housing crisis, which led to the credit crunch, could have been avoided with more females in banking is ipso facto sexist. It is especially disturbing that you would capitalize on the misfortune of millions of Americans to push your anti-male agenda.
You should be ashamed of yourself... right after you make me a sandwich. - whatimbipolar, on 11/04/2009, -7/+13Hellwo, and welcum to ***** bank
- johndi, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5The article is so horribly written that it's not clear where it happened. This happened in a Japanese bank's (Nomura) London office. I almost wrote that it was Canary Wharf, but that's where they used to work. Not really important to the story.
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cf ... - Raian, on 11/04/2009, -1/+6Are you trying to say breasts aren't honkers?
... They should have just responded with: Testicles are punching bags. - WhipTail, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3theres also one i saw where an Argentinian woman goes off on one when the camera man says they dont have the internet in Argentina. She demands respect from the ignorant american suggesting that she was a well learned and intellegent woman. then she sucks a dude off.

NSFW obviously - darkstar949, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3I fail to see in anyway what bad business decisions have to do with gender.
- ChocChunkOaties, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4"The two women moved to Nomura as part of a buyout by the Japanese bank and expected equally prominent roles."
I misread it thinking they moved to JAPAN. - cplusplus, on 11/04/2009, -1/+3The photos don't show what we want to see.
- thehuntedpossum, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2dear virgin, google "prolapse queen", you're get what you want to see :)
- ChocChunkOaties, on 11/04/2009, -9/+11If you move to Japan, you should at least respect their crazyness... i mean culture.
- realmike15, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2It takes a real charming guy to compliment a woman on her breasts by referring to them so eloquently as 'honkers'. The last time I used the word honkers to describe anything, I think I was in grade school... too funny.
- thehuntedpossum, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I don't know why he's getting dugg down, those chics aren't hot.
- JohnnySoftware, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1There were extremely high personal rewards for high risk decisions and very low person penalties relative to that for those decisions blowing up.
That is why the rewards were capped for bankers recently. Banks, well certain types of banks, were being turned into private casinos betting somebody else's money. Putting safe limits on things basically makes sense.
There are probably very good, wise, prudent, sharp bankers out there. But if you promote people based on a lucky break then you will always be promoting people but based on luck not wise decisions.
The flood of practically zero interest rate loans of government money to banks during previous 8 years and perhaps now too would tend to encourage more gambling in the banking sector. Especially, if all the safe investments were done already. In order to grow profits, the less safe investments would have to be pursued or invented.
So basically, the luckiest big risk takers get promoted to the top and then at the top they roll the dice again and not so lucky. Oh.... oh, well.
I think the problems in the banking system were due more to fundamentals in rules and conditions under which they operated, not the gender of people working within those rules.
By the way, the banking failures have led to higher fees charged to banks for guaranteeing deposits and that in turn is cutting into profitability or in some cases making a barely profitable bank non profitable. So, the conditions under which banks operate are harder now than before. So they have to do better than before to be as well off. - mudgie, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Curse those evil, no-good men for that dang financial crisis! Not the fact that they were lending money to every ***** who wanted a McMansion and couldn't afford it.
- eShinn, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Nah, they get away with that sh:t in Japan all the time. Male or female, a non-japanese national is usually viewed as lesser - especially acute in the education sectors (higher education - not English as a second language).
- DeadTorrent, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1tl;dr
- curtisag, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Right on.
The assertion that a house is an asset is ridiculous. It's clearly a consumable as it depreciates rather quickly without constant maintenance. You also never really own it as the Government will take your house if you can't afford the property taxes. Not only that but styles change and houses built 30 years ago are no longer in style and hence obsolete. Sure, someone will still buy them for the right price, but they won't fetch the same kind of price as a similar house that's new. But if we agree that a house is not an asset, then the way they calculate inflation is highly suspect. The PTB want a house to remain an asset so it's left out of the equation calculating inflation and therefore allowing for loose monetary policies in perpetuity. - shadowq8, on 11/04/2009, -4/+4 They have to let that overloaded work frustration out somehow.
- eShinn, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1London.. meaning they don't even have to common sense to keep their crap in their own little island. I lived there for several years myself. Japanese nationals who travel (or any national who travels for that matter) are better characters than their nationalist counterparts.
But these pricks are fresh off the zero. - qerplonk, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1Finally, this lawsuit will end the direction of "suggestive" comments towards women in the workplace, thereby freeing all women to enjoy working day in and day out with a clear frame of mind. Forever and ever. Way to go, women.
- eShinn, on 11/04/2009, -2/+2There's no 'r', there's no 'L'. There's only the phonetic sound in between the two. So if you hear a word (such as 'word') you'll hear something that sounds more like an 'L' than the expected 'R' - and vice versa.
On the flip-side: Good luck saying the name Ryo correctly ;.) The 'R' is silent, however the tongue starts off in the position as if to make the 'R' sound - and continue with "Yo".
And Citibank is actually pronounced '***** Ban-ku' - Idiggapony, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1Why would someone digg that down? Someone asked for a link, and weister42 provided a link. That's what you call backing up your comment.
- disappointed, on 11/04/2009, -2/+1OK, so I wasn't seriously suggesting that this incident proves the banking crisis would have been averted had women been in charge.
The argument is not, however, entirely without merit. The assertion is that the high risk taking that led to the collapse of the banks was driven, at least in part, by an aggressive, ultra-competitive culture and that this culture was fuelled by testosterone.
What this incident does show is the inability of those lower down the chain of command to hold their superiors to account.
"She went on to say there was no point in standing up to him as he would smear your reputation in the entire market and that ultimately it was better just to accept it" - insanebrain, on 11/04/2009, -4/+3"One..."
one what ? How hard is it to check before you submit ? - McNandatron, on 11/04/2009, -3/+2I been served!
Next time i'll RTFM - disappointed, on 11/04/2009, -2/+1"It is especially disturbing that you would capitalize on the misfortune of millions of Americans to push your anti-male agenda."
Hi there. I'm a man. I'm not capitalizing on ***** - it's a throw away digg comment, not a political movement. This story does make men look like idiots. The banking sector is disproportionately dominated by men therefore asserting that there should be more women in banking can hardly be called sexist.
I'm absolutely stunned by the insecurity of my fellow man that this one small comment, which I though was obviously tongue-in-cheek, has incurred such a hostile reaction.
By the way, never eat a sandwich made by someone you've insulted. That's just common sense. - demooo, on 11/04/2009, -3/+1The 'l' sound is what Japanese have troubles with considering it's not a sound native to Japan. The sound is often misused with an 'r' sound.
Herro, wercome to ***** bank. - Wuzizname, on 11/04/2009, -3/+1Poor, dumb, horny japanese dudes! Can they not get a look at some English honkers? Would that be so terrible to just show them your honkers?!
- zimzum66, on 11/04/2009, -2/+0So true we just can't get along.
- ahhell, on 11/04/2009, -6/+3Pics or it didn't....uh wait. No pics please!! Gah!!
- hoodedrobin, on 11/04/2009, -9/+6They are bitching about this really?
The Japanese still haven't said sorry for raping thousand of chinese women... and they bitch about this? - Thor, on 11/04/2009, -6/+1What Hookers?
- Inceptious, on 11/04/2009, -7/+2lol
- kernel16, on 11/04/2009, -6/+1There's no such thing as women traders, only in movies!
- McNandatron, on 11/04/2009, -13/+7Are people genuinely suprised by this?
*****, my brother lives in Japan. He's been in jail for a week for getting started on by 4 japanese guys (unfortunately he finished it...). Also had ***** smeared on his door, just for being foreign.
I thought it was pretty common knowledge how insanely xenophobic and sexist Japan is? - mandarin, on 11/04/2009, -10/+2damn honkers
- disappointed, on 11/04/2009, -9/+1Good luck to them. Note that the women earned over £300,000 a year between them, so £3,000,000 for wrongful dismissal isn't such a loony claim.
It has been suggested that if there were more women in the banking sector, the crash wouldn't have happened. I think the fact that at least one male banker is going around referring to breasts as honkers pretty much confirms that hypothesis.

What is Digg?
