If however you place the teachings in a light of metaphysical/esoteric understanding, then things start to come together in a sensible way.

Research where all those religions/groups came from... research what it was originally about and then jump to conclusions about apocalypse. It was originally a story about nature... look into it or remain ignorant, I could care less. This is the dawning of the age of aquarius lol
I think that kind of thinking is destructive, not just to you but to mankind as a whole. If you wish the end is near, or think you'll find salvation in it through some mystical force, fair enough but please don't spread that negativity. It's archaic and unnecessary just like religion.

I am pretty sure that if you and i were to dialog, we would share at least some beliefs about the history of religion and what it is doing to completely defile the world we live in.
I am nowhere near religious nor do i subscribe to any 'belief' system.
I don't think i was that far off base though. You called it nonsense. I was only attempting to point out that it is nonsense in the way that it is presented by those that push it. But it is sensible if you look through the BS and see what is trying to be taught. You know, things like love your neighbor, do unto others, BLAH, BLAH. And of course the further you read the more comes clear.
I have done my best at researching religion and i understand that it has all evolved (devolved?) into the load of crap that it is today.
I do not wish the end is near. I don't even think i implied that in my comment. In fact, "the end" as traditionally spoken about in religious circles is hogwash (if taken literally). What i was attempting to say (perhaps i should have spent more time on my comment) was that a lot of the original works that religions are based on today (bible, Koran, kabella, Bhagavad Gita, Etc.) speak about a day of reckoning, a time of judgment, etc. The time of judgment is now, and always has been. You are judged as you judge. Not in the sense that every time you judge something it is written down in some mysterious book somewhere that is going to be thrown at you later. But more in the sense that if you judge the day as a ***** day then chances are it will continue to be a ***** day.
I have decided not to comment on your Aquarius remark. Was that sarcasm, or were you referring to a fairy tale?
