- Awwzm, on 10/28/2009, -0/+93a nice case of the pot calling the kettle black
- inactive, on 10/29/2009, -2/+62What next, the Chinese government accusing us of pirating their movies?
- aresef, on 10/29/2009, -0/+58And they do this with no sense of irony.
- smihalik, on 10/29/2009, -0/+37In a related case, Google is suing China for censoring ***** everything else.
- SemiSarcastic, on 10/29/2009, -1/+25This is most displeasing to the great people of the Orient. As Chinese we promote freedom of speech and commerce for all peoples. However, this case of censor is most disappointing to our great and benevolent government and only further reveals the terrible nature of the white devil and his centuries of oppression. We want an internet that is tamed and pure for the use of our young people and citizens while the white demons of the west plague their servers with enticing porn, abundant educational information, dissenting opinions and free iPod offers!
Hear this America: we make your shiny lead tainted crap for five cents an hour and you stay out of business! We will not tolerate you're practices of blocking pure government sponsored information with your popular google whom we allowed by the greatness and benevolence of our hearts to operate in our country. - eocarroll, on 10/28/2009, -0/+16Talk about chutzpah...
- Truedirt, on 10/28/2009, -0/+12Now you see it, now you don't.
- SpruceCaboose, on 10/29/2009, -0/+11Actually newchap, you will find pro-Chinese comments rather lacking on Digg, what with China being so supporting of personal liberties and what not.
- gnixon70, on 10/29/2009, -0/+10but three rights make a left
- twelvedogs, on 10/29/2009, -0/+10LOL, no *****, china's government made them censor themselves

Sad Tienanmen square!
http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=tianan ... - otterp, on 10/29/2009, -0/+8@newchap Still its a private company making a choice vs. a government. Users can use a competitors product or create a competitor company. A government holds power by force (hopefully with consent). In this case, no dissent is allowed.
- goffy59, on 10/29/2009, -0/+8I guess people like yourself are illogical and have no respect for other nations laws. Google has done nothing "wrong".
- RevLoki, on 10/29/2009, -0/+7ROR
- lukas88, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5People are quick to blame google for things that they aren't really doing. You can still access sites that have the security warning, you are just given the warning first. Usually because the site or one of the advertisers present a security issue.
Google actually seems to bend over backwards to make people happy. They put up with a lot of abuse fairly gracefully. - inactive, on 10/29/2009, -0/+4That is a fine detailless story you justtold. The lck of details proves that it MUST be true.
Because Google would be SO upset over losing a few million dollars. I mean, it is not as if they couldn't replace that in a heartbeat. - GorfTron, on 10/29/2009, -0/+4<insert overly dramatic rebuke here>
- bringitontimx, on 10/29/2009, -2/+6<insert overly dramatic comment here>
- blumarlin1, on 10/29/2009, -1/+5Are we sure it's not supposed to read 'Google Accuses Chinese Government of Censoring its Website'?
- nmanguy, on 10/29/2009, -0/+4The communist party in China? Censored? HAHAHA.
- PsychoPNut, on 10/29/2009, -1/+56 nos and a yes is a yes
- SirLowKey, on 10/29/2009, -0/+3You see? That is just like you, Google. You do things like that, and you make it impossible for me to hate you...
- Sybaek, on 10/30/2009, -0/+3Dugg for extreme irony.
- nurbsenvi, on 10/29/2009, -0/+3<insert penis here ({})>
- FXNGLAS, on 10/29/2009, -1/+4Money talks dude. You were expecting otherwise?
- kasjogren, on 10/29/2009, -0/+3He certainly doesn't have any respect for the country he lives in either.

- GorfTron, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2They were too busy pumping iron.
- JoeParanoid, on 10/29/2009, -0/+2Well, it is a man bites dog story....
- neoauteur, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1So Google is a capitalist after all. I am not surprised.
- goffy59, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1How would you feel if someone from another nation violated one of "our"(wherever you might live) laws?
- Opiate, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1Law doesn't make something right or wrong .. has the englightenment tought us anything? apparently not .. look where we are today.
- AnotherDiggGuy, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1Google always seemed pretty legit for the most part... their motto is "Do No Evil" or something along those lines.
- iwashere2, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1Who controls your media? :-)
- goffy59, on 10/29/2009, -1/+2China has a lot of citizens. I'm pretty sure not all of them have the same concerns as you think. What about the average citizen who is happy with the country they live in. Political activists are only heard while those who are not involved in politics stay silent. I'm basically saying that Americans need to respect the laws in other countries.
And further more, what the hell does "democracy" have to do with America? Our so called "democracy" has more laws then any other "democratic" nation in the world. Who has more freedoms now?
Did you know 543 laws go into the sell of a hamburger?
Thats more authoritarian then it is free.
Its not really a bad thing, but democracy and freedom are thrown around inappropriately in America.
America is a representative democracy.
The vote you cast for Obama or McCain DO NOT matter AT ALL! Its just generally a census for the news media/etc. Its the electoral college which matters. So maybe vote in your local election next time. - gnixon70, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1its a stark contrast for sure
- AnotherDiggGuy, on 10/29/2009, -1/+1If I wasn't worried some radical on Digg would turn me for leaking info and wind up getting sued, I would have provided all the details.
- KahRahTay, on 10/29/2009, -1/+1i like google and all, but there's no choice to be made if you aren't even aware when there are other options available.
- canadabluesfan, on 10/29/2009, -2/+2ahahahaha
- yotsubakoiwai, on 10/30/2009, -0/+0Oh hey another onion artic- oh wait its not.
- kaosethema, on 10/29/2009, -1/+1maybe google will leave china
and i'll stop thinking that google puts profit above human rights...
right - inactive, on 10/29/2009, -1/+0shrill....
- inactive, on 10/29/2009, -2/+0Oh right, goffy, because Chinese citizens love having their Internet censored behind a firewall. You don't think they break it themselves...
- brandnewx, on 10/29/2009, -4/+2Google != us
- inactive, on 10/29/2009, -2/+0I guess I'm illogical because I sure wouldn't obey China's ***** oppresive laws.
- webhatewidget, on 10/29/2009, -3/+0check out the afro son
- altgeeky1, on 10/29/2009, -8/+5Two wongs make a wite!
- inactive, on 10/29/2009, -6/+1Maybe...but if it is true, two wrongs don't make a right.
