- ScienceDoc, on 10/10/2007, -15/+50Just like Fox News.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17Right, because its so unbelievable that a country who kills political prisoners then sells their organs would be capable of something so dishonest.
- whataboutdave, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15The difference is, of course, that the US gov't isn't mandating that FOX broadcast what it does.
- swordedge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15this is NOT news. China has been like that for many decades
- avions, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15You must be kidding. All any Network News channel likes is bad news. That's when they make their best profits...not just Fox News but CNN and MSNBC as well.

Ignorance is Strength.
Everything Okay! - stklaw, on 10/10/2007, -5/+12All news on Digg must be bad news about China.
- Crossmenjeff, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6I would totally love a channel that showed the positive news in the country, but not made up stuff. Right now its a couple channels all reporting the same depressing news every morning so you can start your day off in a sad and angry mood. That's why i watch cartoons instead. it makes every day a lot better. You can watch the bad news after work.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5The Chinese Government might be doing something reprehensible? SHOCKER!!!

- ww917352, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You seem to misunderstand it. They would report only "great great" news about China. And they would LOOOOVE to report all bad news about U.S. and Europe.
- vertinox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3China and Russia are no longer our friends. They will be the new enemy soon since people are starting to no longer stay afraid of the terrorists.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Every man has the right to free agency--the right to choose. However, try submitting good news to American news stations. They want only "hard news." I'd rather lengthen my stride because of positive, motivating news.
- mcosmi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3And don't feel too bad for the poor Chinese that supposedly don't know any better. They know whats going on...they know their govt lies to them...they just don't speak about it too loudly...you know...jail and stuff.
- Cannon13, on 10/10/2007, -4/+6Yeah, that's Rupert Murdoch's job.
- theratdotus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2This is the first good news to come from China in years!
- kuzotz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You should write a book.
Present us your real thoughts on this democracy.
Hell we can do a project. Just add me as a friend, and we can get things started. - kuzotz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"Fox News the most powerful thing in News."
That is an actual quote by an anchorwoman.
Also notice how all the anchormen and women seem to have this blank face all the time. - degamad, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No Gnus is bad Gnus for Chinese Gnus.
- mrcoderga, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The news is all good when government reports news instead of reporters.

Story | Photos - ravage86, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Interesting, here we only report bad news.
- sspooner, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Feel good about buying cheap, crap quality, chinese t-shirts now then ?
- absolutroot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I can see the headline now: "Tsunami kills millions on chinese beaches." China had 2 hours to react to tsunami warning, but early warning system deactivated, following the government decree banning all bad news.
or, new deadly virus found in chicken in china. chinese citizens eat it anyway because it is illegal to tell them about it.
or
Category 5 typhoon hits southern china. No one warned, considered bad news. - x00x, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I suppose reporting this news item would seem to be a problem as government censorship is not very good news, I don't think.
- DiggMasterJ, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2For those who don't get it. Fox inaccurately reports the news. They are state controlled in effect, and white wash political stories and spread misinformation. Go on Youtube and type in fox, you will be amazed at how low they can go.
- Spuy767, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1We would, but the Chinese government has likely already mandated that their State Funded ISPs do not allow access to certain domains. Digg is most surely one of those domains.
- edebolt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1China has a long way to go when it comes to press freedoms. Really they can only improve from where they are now. In the west you can say anything and people do regularly say things like "bush is hitler" etc with no fear of reprisal. In much of Asia causing a public official to lose face results in fairly severe retribution. I have lived in SEA and its just something you get used to but its great to come home and watch a show with Bill Maher or John Steward who can say anything. Its like breathing fresh air for a change. Literally and figuratively.
- commernie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The "don't feel too bad..." part of the comment implies that they somehow deserve this for not speaking out. That's the comparison. And, by the way, if someone speaks out against Guantanamo loud enough, yes, they do run the risk of being imprisoned.
- skinturtle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah really? We don't need an article like that to show us what kind leaders rule China. We've known what they are like for years. Communism is stupid.
- kuzotz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1We're preparing for a conflict with China thus we are going to start dehumanizing the people.
If war does break out. IT is going to be bad.
Afghanistan is a joke compared to what would happen if China were to provoke war on the US. This would be global.
The EU would have to isolate themselves from the world maybe. Just to barely escape the conflict.
It is going to be interesting., - smek2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1My thoughts exactly. Seriously, upon reading the headline i thought the exact same thing like your comment.
- kuzotz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yea, you can get imprisoned the next time you travel. A lot of the times this ***** is so damn random. IT is sickening.
- Rukaribe, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1This is ***** brilliant! I am tired of America's fear mongering bad news constantly. There is waaaay more good news in the world. A good example is with the space shuttle instead of talk about all the good the mission accomplished they just go on and on about a pointless gouge.
***** American news. - pseudononymist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Nice assumption, but wrong. Digg is perfectly accessible in China. While some sites are perennially blocked (major blog hosting sites, the BBC, Flickr, anything about the FLG or Tiananmen Square), others are not--(any email service, nytimes.com along with pretty much any other major newspaper or media outlet). The Great Firewall rarely gets in my way.
- mzmoxy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0oh my god, i just scrolled down the page to write the EXACT thing. i am cracking up right now.
- h4ppydotcom, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Almost. I thought that FOX News' brief was only to broadcast BAD news that kept the population scared and willing to be downtrodden by their authoritarian government.
- championeer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0In China, All media is also ruled by CCP, just like this country, so they only report good news for CCP and bad news for CCP's Enemy(eg. USA). Big brother still watches us.
- Millsee, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1We all get lied to and have things blown out of proportion via the media, so at least theirs isn't depressing.
Most news in the UK is totally depressing and although I don't want to be ignorant, I also don't want to hear the gloom and doom of another day in England. It doesn't do any good to the average person, and they should try and balance out the extremes a bit - I mean all you hear about nowadays are murders etc, and then they'll go to a ridiculous trivial light note about some eccentric character, or a tortoise that's had two of it's legs replaced with lego wheels... they just can't strike the balance right....
..which is why I get my news from the internet. - calbo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2"All news must be good news in China" whereas all news in America about China must be bad news? Haha, this anti-Chinese sentiment is cracking me up. CNN even has a page devoted to China now--usually reporting negatively about the country. Why all the sudden attention is my question.
- jugger74, on 10/10/2007, -5/+5Is it just me or are America's and China's policies sounding more similar all the time?

- Awspire, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Unlike the good ol' USofA, where our media's mantra is, "if it bleeds it leads". Nothing like getting news in a capitalist nation, where scare tactics and sensationalism is used to attract the almighty viewer for profitable ratings. ***** the mass-media, they blow no matter where you are. The Internet is our last hope for any truth.
- mzmoxy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0oh my god, i just scrolled down the page to write the EXACT thing. i am cracking up right now.

- pseudononymist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1What is the point of this comparison? Are you saying mcosmi would go to prison for speaking out against Guantanamo? Dugg down for sheer stupidity.
- absolutroot, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1on second thought, this makes me wanna move to china. maybe it wont be some damn depressing over there as compared to the USA
- pennvneff, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1More from the country that brought you the Great Leap Forward, Cultural Revolution, Gang Four, and the Tiananmen Square Massacre.
- UWake911, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Lets not forget that Israeli based groups like Bnai Brith, AIPEC, and others have force Freedom of Speech restriction laws on Whites, and are currently pushing American to be restricted. So lets not looks at China, lets examine our own restrictions and who's pushing them! First question, why does Israel control the US Government!
