Chicago makes cut, has Olympic-size to-do list

chicagotribune.com — I live in Chicago and love my city, but am fearful of the transportation situation if we do get the Olympics. I mean, a Bears game can shut the city down. What do you think?

  • KristinaCowan, on 06/05/2008, -0/+3I think it's a risk worth taking--the Olympics can do wonderful things for a city. The 1992 games, for example, gave a boost to Barcelona that was still visible more than 10 years later. Chicago is one of the most humane cities on earth. It's world-class and deserves to host the world's games.

  • greytfriend, on 06/05/2008, -0/+3As long as it doesn't mess up my annual vacation to see the Cubs, I'm all for it. Chicago is beautiful in the summer and I'd love for the whole world to see it.
