- geddon, on 10/28/2008, -8/+123No, no, no.. You're forgetting that Americans hate Chavez because he is Socialist and spreads around the wealth from Big Oil to their schools and health care. We call that the WORK of SATAN.

- trolleyfan, on 10/27/2008, -17/+99If you think Obama is the same as Chavez...well, I'd recommend not voting. You're too stupid.
- samimnot, on 10/28/2008, -10/+83-In his United Nations address, Chavez railed against the Bush administration for failing to protect poor residents of New Orleans who were caught in the flooding that followed Hurricane Katrina.
-He also accused the United States of abetting "international terrorism" by failing to arrest television evangelist Pat Robertson for saying that the United States should consider assassinating Chavez.
-Now he's calling Sarah Palin a confused "beauty queen".
Actually, I don't like this man very much ;-) but he is right, now and then... - mikers722, on 10/27/2008, -31/+97slam, bam, thankya ma'am.

Edit: some info for those who won't click:
The Revolution Will Not Be Televised (a.k.a. Chavez: Inside the Coup) is a 2002 documentary about the April 2002 Venezuelan coup attempt which briefly deposed Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez. A television crew from Ireland's national broadcaster, RTÉ happened to be recording a documentary about Chávez during the events of April 11, 2002. Shifting focus, they followed the events as they occurred. During their filming, the crew recorded images of the events that they say contradict explanations given by Chávez's opposition, the private media, the US State Department, and then White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer. The documentary says that the coup was the result of a conspiracy between various old guard and anti-Chávez factions within Venezuela and the United States. - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -1/+20its more the opposite way round, since he has the oil and all.
Thats why the CIA tried to overthrow him. - spurtle, on 10/28/2008, -2/+20If you disagree with the republican party you are automatically a terrorist/communist/liberal/aborted baby eater.
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -12/+30I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children.
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -4/+22Why?
- ChileanGoD, on 10/28/2008, -2/+19*Democratically elected socialist.

Bush only managed to actually be elected the 2nd time around.
Just because you don't like a guy you should just come out with wild erroneous accusations. - Somnabot, on 10/28/2008, -0/+16If we were in prison, I would protect you in the shower. Highly Recommended! A++++
- counterplex, on 10/28/2008, -4/+19Oh yeah? Well she can see Venezuela from her back yard and she's watching you Chavez!
- GroupThink, on 10/28/2008, -12/+27Oh, ***** off. First of all, social security, medicare, public transportation, public education, and numerous other government funded programs are socialist elements of our society that have helped many, many people. Socialism in the United States isn't some new concept or "threat" by a long shot.
If you're going to look for an example of socialism, why not look at Norway? Like Venezuela, their oil sector, as well as many other economic sectors, is predominantly owned by their government.
Norway has a VERY high standard of living (highest in the Human Development Index), one of the highest GDP per capita in the world, and is also THE wealthiest country in the world.
I'm not saying that socialism in every form works, but there are numerous countries that seem to be doing pretty ***** well with it.
And by the way, communism and socialism are not synonymous with one another.
Also, I don't think that Obama is particularly socialist, despite what Fox News may tell you. - FENWAYFREAK, on 10/28/2008, -3/+18It's Wham, Bam, thank you, ma'am.

- p3ngwin, on 10/28/2008, -4/+18 where did people get the idea was EVER a beauty queen?
she was a contestant, and never won. - iheartcrack, on 10/28/2008, -3/+17Why do we hate Chavez again? Oh, maybe because he nationalized U.S. oil interests to exploit their wealth on behalf of his people...um, wait...didn't Palin issue a windfall profits tax which effectively did the same thing in Alaska?
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -1/+15Oh man ..watch out ...someone from another country correctly calling out our leaders? He can't do that how dare he!
