- duggtodeath, on 11/05/2009, -2/+61And the plan worked! Oh, wait...
- Shitokki, on 11/05/2009, -18/+75WTF?! Any kid that could do those things doesn't deserve to ever be free. He's ***** in the head for life. Put him down like the sick dog he is.
- supferrets, on 11/05/2009, -12/+53"Under California law, a 14-year-old is not eligible for the death penalty"
Well, that's a ***** shame. - boogerthecat, on 11/06/2009, -0/+32Chances are this kid is going to be out at some point.
If you think he's a monster now, wait till you get a load of what 20 years of prison will do to him. - b3and1p, on 11/06/2009, -3/+35Am I the only one that thinks the 14 year old has obviously been abused himself? 14 year olds just don't do anything like that out of the blue. What a troubled young boy and what a horrible horrible act. I don't think we should be killing the 14 year old or locking him up forever, I think he needs some serious help. You guys are way too black and white I think.
- ChinezePanda, on 11/06/2009, -2/+31Well *****.. yeah... let's go with that solution.
Kid is very very sick.
Molestation? Murder?
What a future he had destined for him..... - boardthis, on 11/05/2009, -1/+27yes! this was obviously the 4 year old's preants fault and not the 14 year old who committed murder.
- Rain12913, on 11/06/2009, -0/+21This crime is incomprehensible to anyone who has humanity and surely this individual is not fit to be a part of any society.
Still, it shocks and disturbs me to see so many people calling for the execution of a child. - KJSatz, on 11/06/2009, -1/+21So why did he tell the police? Kind of goes against the plan.
- CaptCarrot, on 11/05/2009, -1/+20Yes, he should never be let out of the house until he's at least six.
- supferrets, on 11/05/2009, -3/+22"I don't understand how or why the 4 year old was left outside alone to play."
Maybe because most people expect to be able to let their children outside without worrying about them being sodomized, drowned, and stuffed into dryers? - GhettoHmbrglr, on 11/06/2009, -8/+26The kid was probably a victim of child abuse himself.. I'm sure he was fully aware what he was doing was wrong but I just find it hard to blame him completely. Kids just aren't born that way.
- Zedblade, on 11/06/2009, -2/+20It's unclear what exactly led to this specific kid to turn out the way he did, but saying Kids just aren't born that way can't be right. Sometimes people are just born broken. The same way some people are just born with diseases, handicaps, autism, etc.
- alman783, on 11/06/2009, -0/+17Worst troll ever.
- Akairenn, on 11/06/2009, -1/+17Yes, because this sort of thing has only begun to happen in recent years.
...Well, actually, I guess that's true if you want to be a pedantic ***** - they didn't have electric dryers in Roman times, for example.
Regardless, people have always been this horrible. So sorry, it's not TV, movies, the gays, having a black dude as president, et cetera. It's just good old fashioned humanity, doing what we do best. - OverDriven, on 11/06/2009, -3/+18If he killed my kid, he sure as ***** would be eligible for the death penalty - from the business end of a 12 gauge.
- nmanguy, on 11/06/2009, -2/+16Wow this is seriously scary *****. It's a wonder how anyone can even let their kids out of their sight after reading these sorts of things.
- ultraJesus, on 11/06/2009, -0/+12Thats it. I'm done.
I'm going to pull a Jack Kerouac and live on top of a mountain for a while. - TheLordOfBlah, on 11/06/2009, -7/+18You know, every other story that involves someone receiving a life sentence/the death penalty (woman who killed her pimp at 13, or anything involving drug addicts, to give examples), you all say that these people have something psychologically wrong with them, and therefore they need help, rather than a prison sentence. This case, although it is more a severe of a crime, you all say the kid should be killed.
Digg, you are a bunch of inconsistent retards. I love you all, but think this through a little more. This kid clearly has a psychological problem, he could have been sexually abused himself as someone mentioned above, or he could have some sort of mental deficiency. None of you know any of this information, and therefore, have no right to say they should kill the kid.
These comments suck, hard.
also, inb4bury - Solkre, on 11/06/2009, -1/+10He'll be a productive member of a prison.
- dlan4327, on 11/06/2009, -10/+19That kid is mentally ill. Needs to be put down, there's no hope for something like that.
- megsmitty, on 11/06/2009, -1/+9My God.
- kenninator, on 11/06/2009, -1/+9no?
- dvsbastard, on 11/06/2009, -1/+9He wasn't alone... He was playing with another child... Living in a highly populated area, when I was younger there were a LOT of children and it wasn't abnormal to see the younger children playing with (and being looked after by) the older kids...
The problem in this case is the older child has severe mental issues... - dafragsta, on 11/06/2009, -1/+9Let me explain to you how recursion works, how recursion works, recursion works, works.
- AgmLauncher, on 11/06/2009, -1/+8I think it makes perfect sense. The kid is obviously a ***** moron from the get-go.
- illDecree, on 11/06/2009, -2/+9....if he makes it through
- supferrets, on 11/06/2009, -1/+7You don't understand the distinction between crime and punishment.
So cops shouldn't speed to catch speeders?
Murder is defined as the UNLAWFUL killing of a person with malice and aforethought. The death penalty is the law, and thus not murder, and your comparison is *****. - evilresident, on 11/06/2009, -4/+10What a horrible 'act'?
Multiple things happened.
He diddled a 4 year old.
that's one.
And then he murdered him.
That's two.
Who cares if he needs help? The world's a big, uncaring place.
The sun will rise with or without you tomorrow. It's not anybody elses job but your own to see that though. - elliotys, on 11/06/2009, -8/+14This 14 year old is fundamentally/irreversibly flawed. Put him out of his misery.
- OverDriven, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5illDecree...I know. I expected it. No big deal. I'm not being an "internet tough guy" though. If someone really murdered the person you love above all, would you really be able to control yourself? The broken justice system only makes it worse.
- inactive, on 11/06/2009, -1/+6What is it you were saying about freakish instincts to do horrible ***** up things?.
- fabriciom, on 11/06/2009, -1/+6Kids dont learn ***** like that on their own.
- OverDriven, on 11/06/2009, -3/+8Perhaps you don't quite understand how psychopaths such as this kid work. They can't recover. He is ***** in the head. Jailing him keeps a dangerous person away from society.
- huntermcwhite, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5no it didn't!
- Ipex, on 11/06/2009, -3/+8amen. I have a 4 year and did this to him. I would want blood.
- BerateBirthers, on 11/06/2009, -2/+7Barbaric + backwards = conservative
What did you expect, complex thoughts, nuanced views? - TSK05, on 11/06/2009, -2/+6Hitler, is that you?
- Charlotte_Web, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4Four years old is too young to be left unsupervised. His parents didn't have to be right on top of him, but they should have been aware of where he was at all times.
And what about the 14 year old? This kid is so deranged, there must have been some obvious behavioral signs that he wasn't right in the head. When my kids were 4, I was very protective of who they were spending time with. - Rivetgeek, on 11/06/2009, -1/+5not a chance. He will be locked up till 50. Rape and murder? 32 years plus 15. That 47 years, with good time he might get out in 38
- OverDriven, on 11/06/2009, -5/+9You're a ***** moron. Nothing more to say.
- TheLordOfBlah, on 11/06/2009, -3/+7I'm sure you would still be saying that if you had a mentally ill person in your family.

I say drown him in return! - illDecree, on 11/06/2009, -3/+7someone.... is going to call you the ''internet tough guy''....
it's a trend around here lately.... - illDecree, on 11/06/2009, -4/+8no, this kid should be executed.
- Rain12913, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4I was about to type an angry comment about how disrespectful you are for posting that ***** in this submission, but then realized you probably don't even speak English and thus have not the slightest idea of what this article is about. Either way, ***** you.
- rpgmakr, on 11/06/2009, -2/+6@zed: Nobody's born anything. You may be genetically predisposed but that doesn't mean that you ARE that.
- evilresident, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4I remember listening to my parents talk with their weekend euchre partners once when I was a kid. They were talking about the Paul Bernardo case. (a famous Canadian case.)
I remember my mother saying that she'd proudly serve time in jail for murder if somebody ever molested me.
now, i'm not one for the death penalty.. but if somebody molested/raped my son/daughter, I too would proudly serve jail time for murdering whomever did that to my children. hell, to almost anyone in my family.
so I guess I'm anti-death penalty, pro-personal revenge while being prepared to take on the consequences. - TSK05, on 11/06/2009, -1/+5Internet tough guys ;)
- Rain12913, on 11/06/2009, -1/+5"We are so concerned with rights and human life that you can't even execute people that have clearly committed and admitted that they have committed a heinous act."
Yes, on a daily basis I think of what a shame it is that we're so concerned with human life. What has this world come to, with all this concern for human rights? /s
You are a couple of fools. -
