- Aidenag, on 10/11/2007, -0/+35Interesting side note, the guy we hired in the Mafia to kill Castro, is also a person who has been said to be a possible Kennedy Shooter.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Roselli - smackywentz, on 10/11/2007, -2/+32This is all petty little ***** that everyone already knew about in some form or another. If this is there attempt to gain the trust of the public and to show a little transparency, it was pardon the pun, transparent. Smoke and mirrors.
- bitcloud, on 10/11/2007, -0/+25They seem to have accidentally left 1 censored, but for those who are curious...
1. Assasinate JFK - darkspider, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB222/family_jewels_full.pdf
- chumpsucker, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19From page 673:
"One sad note: Will you tell Angus we cannot use his new car bumper sticker: LICK DICK in "72, because it is open to misinterpretation. In addition, we try to remain politically neutral." - crazybugger, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19#1 on the list in this document is:
Track every citizen. - vudicarus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14PDF
http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB222/family_jewels_full.pdf - lsatkins, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12I don't care what anyone says...this ***** is pretty damn interesting to read.
- tobsterius, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9In "full." There are a quite a few pages blocked out and a lot of redacted text...
- obliviousfool, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Howard Hunt's name pops up a few times in these documents too. At least that proves the CIA knew the guy.
- vudicarus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8PDF
http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB222/family_jewels_full.pdf - Spaggie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Page 675 (labelled as 666 on the document) is my favourite
- theghoul, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10FTA, pg 676
"a. CIA does not and has not used political assassination as a weapon"
Wow. I have never seen so many lies in a government document. Makes you wonder whats going on today. - b0er, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7The last remaining classified in the list is the JFK assassination.
- neutralmind, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7It's a trap! The CIA monitors whoever visits the site. -puts tinfoil hat on-
- FSUCHEEF, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7HAHAHA CIA server has crashed. GO Diggers!! Looks like they are unprepared for the cyber war of the future.
- flipside3, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7My guess is the pdf file has a tracking virus in it. You're all on the watch list now, baby!
- Zipko, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6"[CIA Director] Hayden acknowledged that the papers 'provide a glimpse of a very different time and a very different agency.'"
I think this says a lot about why the documents were released. Hayden emplies these kinds of abuses arn't carried out anymore. It's really just an attempt to say 'we used to do bad things, look here they are. But now we don't do that anymore. Look at how good we are'. If the CIA really wanted to air it's dirty laundry how about talking about the current abuses that they're working to stop. Assuming they are trying to stop unethical practices... yeah right... - craighoxton, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6As soon as this was released, the music from that Dramatic Chipmonk video came into my head...
- HillerMylife, on 07/24/2008, -0/+5Haha, wow. "This isn't anything new, this isn't worth it at all! ...By the way, can someone who's read it tell me what it says?"
- moovitz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Thanks for finding this! I've read the news reports, but i've wanted to read it for myself.
- noots, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4agreed, can someone who has actually sat and read it all already point us to any pages that are even remotely new and never-before heard of?
- Archos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Interesting indeed. And since I see no reason for the CIA to really kill Fidel Castro.... they may have changed "JFK" with "Castro".
Related article from 1995: Bobby Kennedy's war on Castro - CIA plot to kill Fidel Castro http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1316/is_n12_v27/ai_17828366 - dredwolff, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3heh, and if those first few are in date order, then the Kennedy Assassination would be the first entry.
- R0cc0, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Wait a minute, are they actually admitting to the exploding cigar thing now??
- brutalentropy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Gosh I dunno, the fact that it's on the website of the ***** CIA might be a clue that it's somewhat legitimate.
- steve06000, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2What I want to know about are the items that are still classified... Perhaps they have some contemporary relevance?
- Hillsfar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3This doesn't tell us anything about the secret black ops with Air America, stuff in Central America, the Middle East, etc.
- Novagenesis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Doubt they could do that in 1973...
Now mind you "We killed kennedy" seems reasonable. - Aidenag, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1IF anyone does know of a pdf version please do link to it, this was the only availible source at the time of submission.
- lsatkins, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Seems to have been written in 1973 so it's all old stuff (at least what I've read so far).
- Beaver6813, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Why would the author use old computer printers to print out the pages (all 702 of em) and then scan them all individually in again?
- Aidenag, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1No prob glad to help, I hope everyone enjoys seeing it firsthand :)
- billbacon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Nothing new here. Seems like they created this document with the intent of leaking it at some point. They didn't get busted for number 1 on the list. What else is going on in current events that makes it a good time to divert attention? Other than that this administration is still in power.
- BrandNewJesus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1@smacky If it was trying to gain peoples trust, then why would they not let us see #1. They could at least make something up for #1 so i didn't wonder... what the hell could it be. #1 Who Killed Kennedy
- dictum, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1lol
- impostal22, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1HINT: to see the contents of #1, just look at the HTML source. You'll notice in the CSS file there is a class called "DONTSHOWNOMATTERWHAT" and it is set to display:none. So just look in the source for the div whose class is that.
I'm in your source finding your secrets. - Van3ck, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Back, and to the left.
Back... and to the left. - wishninja, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1And this is the stuff we have already known about. N othing is new here.
- psyjoniz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1well put.
- wishninja, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1In the one with the local police it shows that the police only follow orders they do not care about the law.
- Quidam, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This ***** is scary. If this is the kind of stuff they've been hiding for years, imagine the stuff they're hiding from people now?
It's a sad situation when the most powerful country in the world resorts to these kinds of tactics... - JohnnyXmas, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4It's not here to be an expose on some huge government cover-up that they're finally coming clean on, it's here because it's just a neat historical document. Read it, get a good chuckle, move on.
- alysure, on 07/03/2008, -0/+0Come here and let me scan your Vchip you terrorists ;)
- theinfamousgiz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Big Brother is watching.
- usafkisser, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1And on an unrelated note: ZOMG WE HAVE UFO'S
http://www.foia.cia.gov/search.asp?pageNumber=1&freqReqRecord=ufo.txt - Cowprince, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Roswell... come on now.
- Justflyhigh, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I don't understand why people are so confident that everything in this document is real. Let's see if some one can find the #1 and the real document on the web. Plz share it.
- Aidenag, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Site is gettin hit pretty hard currently, but page does load, just give it time :)
