I don't know how well it would have been tolerated if it had been one of their own politicians, but considering that they seem to be permitted to curse, and one kind of free speech may indicate attitudes towards another, they may be free to speak about their own officials freely too.

Its always funny insinuating that religious bible thumpers are taking the express train to hell. It seems like GW Bush's thinking always starts with the premise that as a conservative, Christian American he is the "Good Guy" - after all Jesus is on his side.
I don't know how he squares this convoluted thinking with the fact that he is personally responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocents in Iraq.
