It's 1 thing to be a moderator, it's another when you back 1 side over another. This is the f-in problem the U.S. Foreign Policy has. The Zionists Neo-Cons need to be hung for having the U.S. fight on Israel's behalf. - GhostyBoy, on 03/04/2008, -27/+168Just wanted to point out it isn't really Bush. He is a dim-witted puppet on a string. He is a front-man for bankers, multinational corporations, secret intelligence agencies like the CIA, the military industrial complex and international drug cartels.
This has become so glaringly obvious that you would almost have to be blind to not see it. - timj83, on 03/04/2008, -18/+100This is insane. How is this not all over the news? This is a blatant disgusting attempt to illegally influence politics in an already volatile region using violent thugs. WOW THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!
- freezeout, on 03/04/2008, -25/+87if you think the US is fighting for anyone but itself you need a reality check. if anything America has other parties do the dirty work for them, not the other way around. When the US wanted to fight Iran back in the 80's they had Saddam do the dirty work. these days America turns to Israel and tomorrow who knows...

When Vanity Fair, in their "2008 Hollywood Issue" had to break this story because the real investigative journalists are too busy licking the correct sphincters to notice there are stories to investigate.
Vanity Fair... Shame on you Reuters. Shame on you BBC. YAY FOX, you failed to be newsworthy again. - chrisjj, on 03/04/2008, -15/+67No surprise here. The Palestinians were relatively united immediately after Hamas was democratically elected in probably the fairest election ever in the Middle East. The Hamas leaders were becoming more moderate, starting to make overtures to Israel, talking about a ceasefire and an accommodation of the Jewish nation. But of course this situation was totally unacceptable to Israel (and therefore to its lapdog the USA), because Israel relies on fomenting chaos in the occupied territories in order to perpetuate and 'justify' its aggressive control over the Palestinian Territories. So Bush and his neo-con masters decided to send military aid to Fatah and stir the pot causing Palestinian to fight Palestinian.
- CaptinCrunch, on 03/04/2008, -11/+59:( Unfortunately, such things are not news unless MSM covers it. If they ignore it, the country will be left in the dark, and further action will never be taken.
- neocognitism, on 03/04/2008, -23/+68Yet another example of our government using CIA-backed groups to bring about regime change.
One partial motivation for a civil war and coup was that the US and Israel did not want Hamas being able to administer and spend the proceeds from the huge natural gas reserves off the coast of occupied Palestine. This is because Hamas is not a puppet like Fatah is today.
Everyone should learn that there is a long history of Israel illegally intervening and disenabling the Palestinians from both selling and using their own energy resources. People should be aware that Palestine has more than enough energy resources to provide power and heat to their country 100 times over, but Israel stands in the way so that they can use illegal fuel reductions as a method of collective punishment on Gaza, which is a war crime that Israel will eventually be prosecuted for.

Analysis: New US-Israeli arms deal (BBC) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/69499 ...
FTA:
*****Thursday, 16 August 2007, 16:02 GMT 17:02 UK
This new agreement sets increased levels of US military aid for Israel over the coming decade.
In broad terms, Israel will receive a total of some $30bn (£14.8bn) in military aid, a significant increase over $24bn (£12bn) it received over the past 10 years.
US ARMS AID TO ISRAEL
$30bn over 10 years
1st payment of $2.55bn in 2008
Annual payments rising to $3.1bn by 2011
26.3% can be spent in Israel
Rest must be spent on US arms***** - neocognitism, on 03/04/2008, -10/+40Granted, but the MSM doesn't print controversial topics. Just look at Sibel Edmonds...

- joewhyit, on 03/04/2008, -5/+27Because our "trusted" news outlets are too busy reporting on Britney Spears, American Idol, and other ***** that doesn't ***** matter.
- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -11/+30Well, that's not all. When some of these commenters laugh at Americans like Rachel Corrie being killed, if the commenter is American, he is a traitor to America, and if he is a foreign national, he is insulting Americans and their values. And if foreign nationals come onto an American site and make veiled threats to free speech, "We will follow you around and Digg you down if you post against our foreign national interests", they are pushing the edge of terrorism. Like the dancing Israels caught by the police on 9/11 laughing and videotaping the destruction IN PROGRESS of the Twin Towers, they will be considered in opposition to American freedom.
- Fr4nk2012, on 03/04/2008, -12/+30Look, no matter the amount of proof presented, this is an anti-establishment article. Therefore, it will be labeled as inaccurate by some diggers.
- Ribbed4U, on 03/04/2008, -4/+21Or maybe, we just step back, and let them resolve the issue themselves for once?
- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -15/+30You are both right and not right, mainly in that America does indeed use third party dictators where it can, to further American interests. Like it did with Hussein. However, the Zionist saturation of our government also means we too dance to the strings of others in some cases. It's complicated and cross-linked.
- rebotfc, on 03/04/2008, -4/+19Who said what Syria/Iran does is 'just fine'? The point is that the US should be a leader in freedom and fairness and not sink to the level of the radicalist states.
- niczar, on 03/04/2008, -5/+18I disagree, this is yet another proof that 9/11 couldn't possibly be an inside job: despite all the evildoing, BushCo. FAILED once again, as indicated in the article. If they had tried to pull 9/11 by themselves, they'd have failed as well.
- PISTOLcm, on 03/04/2008, -2/+14"Or maybe, we just step back, and let them resolve the issue themselves for once?"
QFT. - inactive, on 03/04/2008, -6/+18This isn't really news. I distinctly remember hearing about this right after Hamas won the Palestinian elections. I also remember how Israel kidnaped a number of the newly elected Hamas leaders in an effrot to bring about a Fatah coupe (which of course didn't work since the overwhelming majority off Palestinians knew that Fatah was just a Zionist tool).
- benwei, on 03/04/2008, -2/+14Few inside the U.S. administration had predicted the result, and there was no contingency plan to deal with it. “I’ve asked why nobody saw it coming,” Condoleezza Rice told reporters. “I don’t know anyone who wasn’t caught off guard by Hamas’s strong showing.”
“Everyone blamed everyone else,” says an official with the Department of Defense. “We sat there in the Pentagon and said, ‘Who the ***** recommended this?’ ”
This would be funny if it weren't so god damn depressing. - gadgetuk, on 03/04/2008, -4/+16And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a textbook example of a strawman argument. Notice how the text of the original comment was ignored so the words "It's one thing to be a moderator" were somehow replaced with "You should back both sides of a conflict". I'm sure nobody with a double-digit or higher IQ needed me to point that out but I did it for the benefit of masterm1nd.
- thecoolestguy, on 03/04/2008, -4/+15Reuters was founded by a Paul Julius Reuter, born Israel Beer Josaphat, a Jewish German-born British media mogul.
Reuters' current CEO is Tom Glocer who is Jewish.
Odds are there is a pro-Israel bias in the mainstream media. - inactive, on 03/04/2008, -1/+11LOL at all the Bush apologist sheeple tagging this article as inaccurate.
- rhedwolf, on 03/04/2008, -6/+16Is this an impeachable offense?
- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -3/+13You stopped reading at "See Spot Run"
- Fullvinyl, on 03/04/2008, -4/+13No, I believe what Stryder81 means is that we shouldn't "back" EITHER side, but actually try to help them work out their differences diplomatically, but it was nice of you to confuse the issue. Masterm1nd indeed...
- neocognitism, on 03/04/2008, -4/+13Well, you have to think about the nature of the beast here -- we're dealing with shady satanic terrorist groups and the clandestine intelligence services of major countries. Getting a sense of the truth is going to be a murky business because you're swimming in a deep swamp to begin with.
Moreover, think about when revealing intelligence has been gift-wrapped in the past. Anything come to mind? Yellowcake Uranium and forged Niger documents? But Dick Cheney, Bush, and Condoleeza sure were sold on them. Did the attachment of their stature make the documents any less false? No. Which is why to me this gift-wrapped laptop with Bush and Mossad's bow on it doesn't make me believe it more, it makes me believe it less. Finding out that the Israelis actually fabricated the intelligence on that laptop therefore makes a lot of sense -- it's the other well-fitting shoe of this seeming Yellowcake Affair #2.
Of course, if other evidence came up, great, but until then it is entirely logical to conclude that this article is more or less correct, to me anyway. - neocognitism, on 03/04/2008, -7/+16Please, that is a crazy view that people here do not share. There's nothing wrong with Israel the country, it's their warmongering government that needs changing. The US just has to pull the leash on our dependent child and make them make nice with the Palestinians in an equitable fashion. No more apartheid, no more colonies, no more meddling in each other's affairs, and NO MORE ARMED INCURSIONS.
- basf, on 03/04/2008, -8/+17Palestinians have the right of self-determination. Hamas won the election, and Bush should have accepted that. But this oil-man apparently prefers to "convert" nations. What a low quality for a leader. Who the ***** elected him the president?
- Arlieth, on 03/04/2008, -5/+14Wow. Mad props to Vanity Fair. This is some of the highest-caliber investigative journalism I've read this decade. And big brass balls for them, too.
- MikeFallopian, on 03/04/2008, -7/+16Yes, something needs to be done about the clear right-wing bias on digg. /sarcasm

The Genocide of Palestians is a norm. - mCanada, on 03/04/2008, -1/+9the irony is that what ever the MSM reports I believe less. But you need to get it there for it to have mass "credibility". /facepalm.
- cufford, on 03/04/2008, -0/+8As always here on DIGG, whenever an article -- even from reputable, trusted news sources -- is critical of the Bush Administration, it's promptly labeled as "inaccurate". You can set your clock by it.
- phazon88, on 03/04/2008, -9/+17Err no. America is fighting for Israel.
- flossdaily, on 03/04/2008, -2/+10If you think that the systematic murder of six million Jews was being kept a secret, you need to go take a visit to the holocaust museum and learn some history.
The US knew about the genocide, though it is well documented that even the Jewish owned NY Times refused to make it a headline story.
We shut our borders to Jewish refugees, as did most of the world- THAT is why we need to apologize. Because when your neighbor is at your door, asking to be let in because they are about to be devoured by wolves, you don't say "sorry, we don't feel like hosting today" - Destroytoy, on 03/04/2008, -4/+12I love how these things almost always get that stupid "Reported as possibly inacurate." So the crack staff here at Digg, or the trolls from the intertubes have their sources? LOL
How do these whiners get this crap labeled as inacurate?!! Cry to Kevin whathisface?! - Kurlumbenus, on 03/04/2008, -1/+9But the Machine will get us if it discovers the location of Zion!
- HypocriteDigg, on 03/04/2008, -0/+8Oh what do you know? How did I know it would be marked as inaccurate before even looking? Because I know how you dumb ***** neocon fascist pieces of ***** mark everything 'inaccurate' that puts you pussies in a bad light.
- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -7/+15You said the word Flip Flopping therefore eliminating any validity to your arguement, go back to your right wing talk radio.
- DogBotherer, on 03/04/2008, -3/+11Hanged...pictures are hung
- legacyashes, on 03/04/2008, -0/+7I have been a diggaholic for a long time, but something is amiss with my digg you dig. In the past month I have noticed that articles overly critical of the current administration show up as "Warning: The Content of this Article may be inacurate." I found myself passing up a few of the articles based on this tag. Then I came across a Vanity Fair article about the Bush administrations covert op to start a Palestinian civil war. I had already read the Vanity Fair article, and admittedly some of the sources are protected, but it is a pretty solid piece of journalism. So what gives digg nation? I sincerley hope that it is just some neocon fanboys looking to deter would be readers, but I would put nothing past the I can't recallers in the pale house.
