- klurt, on 10/12/2007, -15/+51Now if only Bush would do the same.
- Sun.Surfin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27Its not breaking news (Its been expected for ages), and its not official. The article says "expected", not "will". Reported as inaccurate because the title misleads the viewer into thinking that he will definitely be resigning on Monday.
- Ikioi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24Blair isn't resigning Monday and he's not resigning "over IRAQ", title is a bit misleading and the Iraq bit is just spin-doctoring. (Of course, claiming it's not over Iraq will also be spin-doctoring.)
"British Prime Minister Tony Blair is expected to announce he will resign as early as next May, The Telegraph reports, citing members of Parliament." So, he will 'maybe' resign, but not for a year.
Breaking news! Bush to announce he will resign after the 2008 presidential election over IRAQ. - lava, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22does it seem like digg v3 is becoming an OMG PONIES!!1! kinda place? there are so many "Breaking news" (when they're not really), "AMAZING", "COOLEST VIDEO YOU'VE EVER SEEN" stories. This might as well be ShoutWire
- jeeff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19@lava: and that is different than v2 how?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+21Bush isn't dumb. The fact that you think he is shows the government has done their job.
- arunforce, on 10/12/2007, -16/+29Bush can't even finish a sentence, much less WRITE a resignation letter.
- FishyJoe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15If Bush resigned, Cheney would be president. Is that what you really want?
- szelij, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I don't think this is true..he may on Monday give a date for his resignation but he won't resign on monday. If that is true, the BBC and the other newspapers would be shouting in gleeful joy...not to mention Mr Brown's allies and cronies.
- veloscaper, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Cheney already runs the country.
EDIT: Oh, and Bush is an idiot. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Other:
>A 1200 when Bush took it is worth about 1350 on the 1600 SAT score.
Ha ha. Texas Law refused him admission, before he was allowed into Yale on a legacy pass. Maybe you can figure out why Texas would deny him admission -- hint: it ain't because he's a friggin genius. And keep in mind, missing and fixed records aside, that was BEFORE he damaged his brain and his balance via years of alcoholism. (Yes, alcoholism leaves lasting damage.) Then after he was popped into Yale, he was allowed to ditch the Vietnam war. His score on the pilot aptitude test? 25%. He was allowed in anyway. - Clivey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Misleading. Probably more of a hope than reality.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I don't get how May turned into monday from headline to description...amazing....
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Bush got 1206 on his SAT. Now I know we all like to bash that test, but it's got to mean something. If you want to dismiss his actions and focus on his monkey-like appearance, go ahead, but like the person above me said, the gov't does it's job when you focus on the wrong thing.
- wjw75, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2aaaz you're an idiot. and why did you submit this misleading trash twice?

A bit over-hyped. - KissTheRing, on 10/12/2007, -2/+41206 is pretty good but I bet this is common or low among diggers
- jasqwerty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2So, let's say he does. 10 years, is that normal for you guys?
- rblinne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2There should be a new category for burying a story. Inaccurate headline. This is to keep Digg from becoming the Weekly World News where the story may be true but the headline is completely bogus.
- pawchikapawpaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Look either Bush is too stupid to walk and talk at the same time or he's entirely capable of fooling different heads of state, the US congress and is consistently able to circumvent the court of supremes.
- davidbond, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yer - Now if only there was an Anti-Digg button like Stumble has.
- tuna1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hes not resigning over Iraq, aaaz.
- scairborn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What the hell is the Washington Times? ...I know we have the Washington POST...
- traviswalters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He's been saying he's going to announce his resignation for some time now. He's always planned to leave. This isn't breaking, or news.
- Sanchez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@FishyJoe
Heh, the first time I heard that it was written on a spanish public bathroom wall. - ILL_Robinson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Still speculation, but some more fuel for the fire:

And donnymack, that article you've posted is from March. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That will never happen, dreams don't come true. After the year 2000 dreams just don't come true.
- hobophobe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Not to pick the nits, but when it's text they are called readers.
- lazyrussian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0its the more conservative version of the post - which I should like, but I seem not too.
- pawchikapawpaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So is this like Breaking News: Rove Will Be Indicted, Promise. ?
- Brad12088, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0As if we haven't heard this a thousand times before...
- phase66, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Conservative newspaper run by the Moonies. Like UPI.
- artman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You know Bush is a nimbot but this Blair...how does it feel to have a leader who more or less is going through the motions? Oh wait.
/your lucky actually
//we have to to wait until 2008 - donnymack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Blair admits resignation mistake bbc:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4846946.stm - SeraphsWitness, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Digg is becoming almost as obnoxious as AintItCool News.
- lazyrussian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2sounds like a load of bull....the website looks like a load of bull too.
reagan smash! - titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1in the imortal words of Bllodjunkie "BALMER SMASH!!!!"
- sgbooth, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Regardless of what Bush got on the SAT, it doesn't mean he is smart. SAT does not track with actual intelligence because it is a measure of your intelligence at one point in time. I think its undeniable that we can improve ourselves in intelligence throughout our lives - but only if we seek to improve it. We can lose intelligence by that same token by not challenging ourselves. Its no different than being athletic, just not to the same extent.
Now I'm not Bush bashing because I think he's an idiot. I think he's lazy and doesn't keep himself informed, which has caused him to not be as sharp as he coudl be. He does have the capability to be smart, but when he opens his mouth - the most random gibberish can come out. From what I can tell, he gets lost in his own thoughts and forgets what the question is. Maybe he is a great jokester, but for the president, I want somebody who is damn smart and not a "regular" joe (like Bush is a regular joe anyway, he's a friggin' Bush - privilege written all over their forehead just like the Kennedys).
Contrast that with Bill Clinton who will make you eat the words in your own question. Then again, Bill was a law professor - a master at rhetoric (and not privileged as a kid). - lazyrussian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0oh ***** its the washington times website - wow i'm blind.
but still, a load of bull. - VRFour, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0No digg. Marked as inaccurate.
- Sun.Surfin, on 10/12/2007, -14/+8Nice, bury my comment when I say something you don't agree with! God knows that's what will make you popular and allow your story to hit front page >.
- pjack91, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Not that good of a score.
I got a 1020 in 7th grade,
And I'm sure I can beat him now, going into 10th.
But something you said must be wrong.
SAT scores only come in multiples of 10. - titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5nuh, nuh, nuke, nuculear weapons of, uh...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3Don't forget that to make the SAT fairer for non-Asian minorities they dumbed it down in the early 90s.
A 1200 when Bush took it is worth about 1350 on the 1600 SAT score.
Kerry on the other hand refuses to release his SAT scores... no surprise since President Bush far outscored him on the military officer aptitude tests that are public record.
