- cardyology, on 04/11/2008, -0/+141When I was 13 all I cared about was Nintendo. 21 mins on a sunbed = massively vain douche bag.
- Alex64, on 04/11/2008, -0/+134Why go to the tanning salon 3 times in a day?
- Enron1985, on 04/11/2008, -0/+110Natural selection.
- bosssmiley, on 04/11/2008, -0/+64Delicious crispy-fried chav. No sympathy for the idiot.
- PocchieTheMan, on 04/11/2008, -1/+63"His lips swelled up and he looked like Baloo the bear from the Jungle Book," said Mrs Saunders.
Now That's a loving mother. - Bmarofsky, on 04/11/2008, -2/+60Why go at all?
Why is a 13 year old going? - Bazookadub, on 04/11/2008, -4/+49"Children can't be expected to understand the risks that these machines pose"
Didn't this mother *****'s mom tell him not to do this stuff? I mean, sure, children are pretty dumb. But this "child" is very dumb. - Yage2006, on 04/11/2008, -2/+47Nasty those brown patches are in fact radiation burns.
Tanning salons are not very healthy in general but people under 18 should not even be allowed to use them they have very adverse effects on children still growing. - travis1982, on 04/11/2008, -1/+42lame excuse for herpes.
- mrhahn, on 04/11/2008, -0/+36"Kieron is quite a vain boy and he is self-conscious about his acne - that was why he used sunbeds."
Wonder how he's gonna feel now, eh... - inactive, on 04/11/2008, -1/+30Little Guido wannabe deserved it
- WestDC, on 04/11/2008, -6/+34What a gosh-darned *****.
- givlpgg, on 04/11/2008, -2/+29Because he's ***** retarded!
- alankel, on 04/11/2008, -1/+28What was a 13 year old even doing in a tanning salon in the first place?
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -0/+24In the infamous words of Nelson Muntz "HA-HA"
- Ogre73, on 04/11/2008, -1/+25Tanning Booth: 1
Kieron: 0 - 88chrisb, on 04/11/2008, -4/+27"His lips swelled up and he looked like Baloo the bear from the Jungle Book," LMFAO! Stupid kid - it's his own fault!
- theOster, on 04/11/2008, -0/+22actually baloo was a bear and the mother said as much - maybe you just equate big lips with monkeys??
- Servebot, on 04/11/2008, -1/+17ugh why did i click that while i was eating
- JamesMorris, on 04/11/2008, -3/+19LOLOLOLLOLOOLOL. What a ***** moron.
- ryanvanlaar, on 04/11/2008, -2/+18A clear case of tanorexia.
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -1/+17At that age I knew all about UV and how it can hurt you.
- Schmeg, on 04/11/2008, -1/+16Why do people insist on blaming someone other than themselves? Nut up and say, "I'm an idiot and deserve these nasty ass blisters."
- doshindude, on 04/11/2008, -0/+14he definitely got burned on that one.
- Mootabolife, on 04/11/2008, -1/+15For that sick looking goatee.

- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -3/+16Well, if you read the comment below then it's because he's a douche!
- venicerocco, on 04/11/2008, -0/+13Reminds me of the story about the kid who got stung playing with bees.
- Cancerkitty, on 04/11/2008, -1/+14He's thirteen years old for Christ's sake. If he can't figure out that sitting under heat lamps for twenty-one minutes is bad for him, then his parents might as well write him off now.
- mryokai, on 04/11/2008, -3/+16The salon's owner, Steven James, said he was "gutted" by the incident
Dugg for the understatement =D - bsmang, on 04/11/2008, -0/+12Too much tanning has already made him look years older.
- warispeace21, on 04/11/2008, -0/+12"The salon, called 'Sun Kissed', displays signs stating under-16s are not allowed to use the booths and not to tan for longer than six minutes."
She can't expect him to read? - bemenaker, on 04/11/2008, -0/+11"Children can't be expected to understand the risks that these machines pose"
*****, at 13, I sure as hell knew this would have happened. This moron is a fuhqing idiot plain and simple. - 11oops, on 04/11/2008, -0/+11RTFA. The little *****'s mom told him not to tan and threatened to ground him and take away his $ if he continued. Yet, HE CHOSE to do it behind their backs anyway. Now, how exactly is this the parents fault?
- maybach, on 04/11/2008, -2/+13He's got a very good chance of getting cancer because of that.
- amdahlj, on 04/11/2008, -0/+11The job isn't done, but, thankfully, he is disfigured enough such that reproduction is unlikely...
- mlostracco, on 04/11/2008, -2/+12Tanning beds helping acne is a myth, and it's actually often more dangerous because acne medications like Accutane or tetracycline make the person's skin vastly more sensitive to UV burns. People think it helps because acne becomes less visible as the surrounding skin gets redder. Tanning beds irritate and dry skin, which may have an immediate exfoliating effect, but can cause acne to get worse.
Plus, the article said he was extremely vain, so I would guess that he absolutely was trying to get tanned as well. - theOster, on 04/11/2008, -0/+10actually reading the article made me change my mind a bit - he's a 13 year old with bad acne that he was trying to get rid of (it wasn't about being tan). he obviously has some deep self-concious issues and his mother had actually banned him from going and also threatened to ground him. the salon has warnings that prohibit people under 16 from using them and that they should only be used for 6 minutes at a time. the mother also tried to get more staffing in the salon as it was unstaffed most of the time.
so it sounds like the kid has a problem - all the warnings were in place, but he's just got some issues. - endun, on 04/11/2008, -8/+18I think his parents have to shoulder some blame. Trying to turn him into a super model.
- nomadxx7, on 04/11/2008, -0/+9Not really. If the kid wasn't an idiot and followed instructions this wouldn't have happened. You can't make more rules, more laws, more warning and staff more and expect idiots not to hurt themselves. They don't listen to begin with. How does staffing ensure idiots will now follow the rules?
- jschrab, on 04/11/2008, -0/+9There are some dermatologist that do prescribe UV exposure for acne - mine did when I was 16-ish and it did help. HOWEVER, the two differences are 1) the bulbs in his booth were made to limit the UV emission type and 2) I would be in there for at most 7 minutes or so. A week. This kid wasn't very bright - pain would happen before serious burning and he didn't stop!
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -1/+10Same here dude, Nintendo and boobs was all I cared for when I was 13.
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -3/+12Oh god I'm so tired I thought you said goatse
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -0/+7Didn't anyone tell this guy it takes years for a Brit to develop even the most basic of tans. The more North you go the worst it gets. Tanning beds aren't even allowed in Finland. Those people go up like vampires.
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -2/+9He isnt even a real one, he is a WANABE guido.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gui ... - suprxtragrav, on 12/09/2008, -1/+8new jersey douche in the making.
- theOster, on 04/11/2008, -3/+10he was actually trying to get rid of acne, not get tanned - the kid has problems...
- billbugger, on 04/11/2008, -0/+7don't worry, with decisions like that, he'll finish the job before he gets a chance to procreate
