- TheUngod, on 06/25/2009, -6/+38If you really want us to leave....STOP BOMBING *****.
- muleskinner, on 06/25/2009, -3/+26Oh no no, when a foreign power invades, the best way to handle the matter is to bomb your own people! This plan makes so much more sense!
- kukurio, on 06/25/2009, -7/+23Before anyone goes in blames this on Obama because he's not withdrawing fast enough for your tastes, just remember this:
1.) Bush already destabilized the country, and withdrawing faster won't change that.
2.) Under the status of forces agreement, American troops are withdrawing from the streets of Iraq as we speak: by June 30, no troops will be left patrolling the streets. (They will still go on combat missions, but they will otherwise remain on the bases.) An uptick of violence is to be expected as a result.
Honestly, I'm surprised that the media isn't really reporting on this. As of next Tuesday, the war will pretty much be over. - jordanlgta, on 06/25/2009, -1/+15BuckCynnie you are so funny. Haha people died. But it's ok because they don't live near you. Haha they died. Haha their families are in emotional pain right now. Haha. That's so funny. 69. Let's all cum on each other. Haha.
***** dick. - SpinningHead, on 06/25/2009, -1/+14Its funny that conservatives always joke about Obama being the messiah and then chastise him for not being able to magically fix all the messes Bush created.
- plugy, on 06/25/2009, -3/+15its going to happen regardless of whether or not the US is in iraq...you think them leaving is going to stop it?
- Gloogle, on 06/25/2009, -2/+14At least we gave them the freedom to blow themselves up. The funny thing, and is quite sad is that their reason and concept for blowing other people up is as simple as I like the color yellow. Humanity is pretty retarded.
- LordStryker, on 06/25/2009, -2/+13no...
- LordStryker, on 06/25/2009, -1/+12*sigh*
- dtfinch, on 06/25/2009, -0/+9police and hospital officials in Sadr City put the death toll at 72, hoping to put a stop to all the 69 jokes
- jordo2323, on 06/25/2009, -1/+10Lose what?
- Chairboy, on 06/25/2009, -0/+9If by coming you mean "was posted 12 hours, 56 minutes before" your post, then yes.
- mjk340, on 06/25/2009, -0/+8Sometimes you have to accept the fact that you were duped and cut your losses.
- Solkre, on 06/25/2009, -0/+7The whole thing?!
- LilJimmyNordin, on 06/25/2009, -2/+9Shiite.
- TheUngod, on 06/25/2009, -0/+7Throwing rocks at a giant grizzly bear is no way to get it to leave you alone.
- ImyK, on 06/25/2009, -3/+9Well, at least the weather was Sunni.
- Akraz, on 06/25/2009, -0/+6What is wrong with these people?
- Suricou, on 06/25/2009, -1/+7Please tell us exactly how he caused this?
I didn't like Bush either, but I didn't blame him for every bombing in Iraq while he was in office. - TheMachine1, on 06/25/2009, -1/+7Before the occupation whole villages were gassed.
- urik88, on 06/25/2009, -3/+9Actually, they didn't bomb because they had a huge bully grabbing them by the balls.
- CaptainRant, on 06/25/2009, -5/+10Its time to stop bailing Iraq out. Leave now.
- JimmyRyan, on 06/25/2009, -0/+5when you see it done, it's supposed to trigger something in your brain to not do it again.
- 11oops, on 06/25/2009, -1/+6Losing what? The quagmire inherited from Bush Jr. that was bungled so much that it was basically considered a loss in 2006?
- Suricou, on 06/25/2009, -1/+6The fact that there is a 'shiite market' to bomb reflects poorly on the country - it's still highly segregated by religion.
- Hraes, on 06/25/2009, -1/+5How does this idiotic cycle end? When are they going to stop blowing people up? What do they even want at this point?! The suicide bombers in the Muslim world now make just as little sense to me as Kim Jong Il's actions: they both seem patently insane. I can't think of any other explanation.
- harpoonhank420, on 06/25/2009, -2/+6As unnecessary as the 2003 War was i still find it funny how people forget Saddam had death squads that annihilated villages and gassed an entire ethnicity
- inactive, on 06/25/2009, -3/+7So they respond to occupying foreign forces by blowing their own people up?
No, sorry, this is the eternal war of Sunnis v.s Shias that has been going on for centuries. And yes this DID go on before American forces, when the Shias rose up against Saddam in 1991 it was the same motives, just different tactics but Saddam crushed the insurgency. With him gone Al-Sadr and other Shia militias feel they have the capability now to continue what they had started a decade ago and ex-baathists and religious Sunnis are retaliating tit-for-tat - TheUngod, on 06/25/2009, -0/+3Because violent resistance is working out SO well!
- altgeeky1, on 06/25/2009, -0/+3Occupation forces make for a recruitment propoganda.
This is true for any occupation, and any insurgency.
Since you do not understand this... I hope you are not American, because we could never count on you if it was the USA being occupied.
You do not want the US to leave?
Neither do the terrorists. - wendelgee2, on 06/25/2009, -1/+4The comments here are a new low for Digg.
- inactive, on 06/25/2009, -0/+3That's terrible. I hope this bloody war turns out to be an actual turning point for these people for the better.
- theOster, on 06/25/2009, -0/+3its the same joke.
- JCEEZ, on 06/25/2009, -1/+3Chinatown doesn't bomb little Italy
- inactive, on 06/25/2009, -3/+5You can kill a man but not an idea.
- MrFunStuff, on 06/25/2009, -0/+2We should leave let them bomb *****.
- 11oops, on 06/25/2009, -0/+2solid.... try reading what I wrote again. TheMachine used the gassings as justification for invading and causing the continued bombings. I stated that we're to blame both for the bombings since we invaded as well as the gassings back in the 80's since we essentially put Saddam in power as well as provided the gas he used. Neither are better, and both are deplorable, and we need to stay the ***** out of politics we don't understand; we should have in the 80's as well as in 2003.
- 11oops, on 06/25/2009, -2/+4On a daily/weekly basis like the bombings have been, or just a few times over a decade ago with gas the US provided? You see how everything comes back to us choosing to step in and ***** everything up more? Maybe we should just stay the hell out of the politics of other countries, especially when we don't understand them or foresee the consequences of our actions.
- chesterogilvie, on 06/25/2009, -0/+2I hate to sound callous but that is not the business of the US. Those groups need to work out their differences on their own, or with the help of allies in their region. You don't help anybody by jumping into the battle. We are putting our soldiers and civilians at risk by being over there and we're obviously not solving the problem. On top of that, they don't want us there!
- 11oops, on 06/25/2009, -0/+2It's summer vacation -- it'll clean up again in early September.
- dshPls, on 06/25/2009, -2/+4"Suicide bombings are a response to occupying foreign forces"
Then wouldn't they bomb the occupying foreign forces instead of other Iraqi citizens?
"Then what good are we doing over there?"
Were you born yesterday? Go ask someone who's been to Iraq. - chesterogilvie, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1Solid - Then what good are we doing over there? If it is an internal battle, then so be it. It is not our place to step in and we've exacerbated the problem. Let the people and their neighbors sort it out.
- VVCephei, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1I'm most certainly going to hell.
- thcobbs, on 06/25/2009, -1/+2Not EVERYTHING is better with bacon.
- Gloogle, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1That's why I added humanity at the end. lol
- tonsiljuggler, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1Buried because of the bizar comments on the death of 69 human beings. Seen none in here. Humans that is.
- CoreyTamas, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1I know. I got nothing.
