- Reveillark, on 04/06/2009, -7/+35Apparently they have teamed up with a rival gang called "Sugar Sex" and made and funk rock album.
- ncapone, on 04/06/2009, -1/+28What is this, A Clockwork Orange?
- DiggzDE, on 04/06/2009, -9/+23In Soviet Russia, psycho gangs kill you.
Wow, that one actually makes scene. - maqikelefant, on 04/06/2009, -0/+13It's not just Eastern Europeans. It's the human race in general.
- agentsrecord, on 04/06/2009, -1/+14"Strangely enough, Shumkov wanted to be a teacher at elementary school."
Now THAT is terrifying. - fjsferreira, on 04/06/2009, -1/+13“It was interesting for me to see how a human being dies, how it happens. It was just for me, for my knowledge,”
Now wouldn't it be great, to improve your knowledge, to see how good it is to be decapitated? Just for your knowledge of course... - Janv1er, on 04/06/2009, -2/+13"They committed all of those crimes (torture, muder, suspected rape and joy-riding) with an intention to simply entertain themselves."
I'm pretty sure GTA would have offered the same kind of entertainment. - artfiend77, on 04/06/2009, -0/+10Also on the same page:

What is this, the Fox News of Russia? - empraptor, on 04/06/2009, -0/+9Blood Magic rolls three 6's. One defense army is decapitated. The other is eviscerated.
Blood Magic picks up a bonus card, places three armies in Irkutsk, and ends their turn. - Couchy, on 04/06/2009, -1/+8Reminds me of this case

What is it with Eastern Europeans and savagery against each other? - Akairenn, on 04/06/2009, -2/+9"The perpetrators stabbed a homeless man and dismembered his body in May 2008. They took his body parts, scattered them on the territory of a local school and put his head on the steel fence."
If only Russia had stronger knife control, maybe that poor homeless man would still be alive. :( - Megatronz, on 04/06/2009, -0/+6"I did not look back at any moral rules"
I'm pretty sure that's what his cell mate will be thinking before he rapes him. - squij, on 04/06/2009, -0/+6Last I heard it was nearly impossible to get people to enlist in the Russian military. I'm guessing they're looking in the wrong places...
- blackmesa, on 04/06/2009, -0/+5I'm lead to believe (mostly from documentaries and books) that it's actually pretty common for serial killers/psychopathic types to apply for jobs like that. I'm not sure why, but often with these sorts of cases, you find they had a failed application with education/police force/ or some other job that would put them in a position of authority.
I'm sure the phenomenon has been investigated, but I'm no expert, just making a passing observation. Interesting though. I started reading a wiki just now ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_killer ) which gives some clues about why that might be. - inactive, on 04/06/2009, -3/+7What savagery, i bet Hollywood's onto it though.
- devin_mm, on 04/06/2009, -0/+3FTA:
"Shumkov told the police that they were killing people out of curiosity.
“It was interesting for me to see how a human being dies, how it happens. It was just for me, for my knowledge,” the defendant said."
"When questioned, the teens said that they had done that for fun. They originally intended to leave the human remains near a local police station, but then thought that it would be too impudent."
I think they refute your claim
Obvious troll is obvious - maqikelefant, on 04/06/2009, -0/+3These guys make Niko look like a sane, stable person.
- blackmesa, on 04/06/2009, -3/+6You seem more insane than the psychopath in the story. Good job.
- Jerryrad, on 04/06/2009, -1/+3Or Magic The Gathering?
- inactive, on 04/09/2009, -0/+2it would've made sense if you had actually said "sense"
- Perdido, on 04/06/2009, -1/+3Are you new to Digg or something?
- MelissaOfTroy, on 04/06/2009, -0/+2I think they got the name of the Chili Peppers album wrong.
- HarleyQuinn, on 04/06/2009, -0/+2Blood Magic sounds like the title of an Anime series. Hell, even the premises. All that is missing is a school girl with a sword to defend the homeless.
- fjsferreira, on 04/06/2009, -1/+3No, because you really seem.
- BabyWookie, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1Hey, at least it's savagery against each other, right? What is it about Western Europeans and their savagery against other people? I mean, the Brits and the French go to Africa and Asia and wipe out millions of people through their colonial efforts, the Spaniards got to Americas and wipe out entire civilizations through theisr, the Germans kills millions every time they venture East. What is it with these brutal savages?
- BabyWookie, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1He is right, in a way. This kind of ***** never happened back in the USSR days. Crime rate in general was a hundred times lower.
Say what you will about them, but authoritarian socialist regimes are generally good at keeping people safe from other people. - BabyWookie, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1Ah! I see now! Makes perfect sense, since individuals never force their will on others.
Seriously though, you are right, in a sense that collectivism is in our primal nature. We are a social animal that got to this stage of evolution through co-operation, be it forced or voluntary. Back in days, if you didn't go on group hunts or went and then tried to hoard ***** for your self, they kicked you out of the cave and you died. That is, unless you couldn't go on that hunt because you were sick or injured. We have evidence that even the Neanderthals took care of their less fortunate! Thirty thousand year old socialism at play!
If you want to be a true "lone wolf" there, Mr Government Hater, you should get the ***** out of the cave. I mean, go live in the woods or something. - govsucks, on 04/08/2009, -2/+3This is a GROUP of people running around forcing their will on others. That IS collectivism hairball. What is collectivism but a bunch of primates who haven't figured out how to get out of their tribal, clan, cave mentality yet.
- pilgrim3970, on 04/06/2009, -1/+2I am assuming that this an attempt at satire. Otherwise, you must have skipped over the blurb
"Shumkov told the police that they were killing people out of curiosity. It was interesting for me to see how a human being dies, how it happens. It was just for me, for my knowledge,” the defendant said." - oxymoron69, on 04/06/2009, -1/+2"Why the name Blood Magic?"
It probably sounds far, far cooler in russian. - BabyWookie, on 04/07/2009, -0/+1They have gotten rid of the death penalty at about the same time they became a democracy. Only dictatorships still practice capital punishment.
- HornyAngel, on 08/17/2009, -0/+1Sounds like my ex-wife. She wanted to be a math teacher, also.
- BabyWookie, on 04/07/2009, -0/+1The "Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs" are Ukrainians, dumbass. Different country - different ethnicity.
- DiggzDE, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1Wow. How'd I ***** that one up. haha.
- FrothyA, on 04/06/2009, -0/+1"He started his ‘career of a maniac’ with torturing and killing animals. He now faces a lifetime in prison."
It's seems mother Russia is becoming either more civilized or weak. Take your pick. What the hell happen to capital punishment by firing squad for high crimes?! - BabyWookie, on 04/07/2009, -0/+1It's even more tabloid than FOX is.
- inactive, on 04/06/2009, -0/+1Reminds me of the Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs. What the ***** is wrong with the youth in former Soviet countries?
- kingboyj, on 04/06/2009, -0/+1Holy crap batman.
- CuedUp, on 04/06/2009, -0/+1That article made me ***** sick...can't believe I've never ran across that before.
- PanicAK, on 04/06/2009, -0/+1I hope it wasn't a 5cp evis.
- BabyWookie, on 04/07/2009, -0/+1Yeah, it's just the Eastern Europeans. Sure. The Westerners never do any sick *****. Whatever.
- BabyWookie, on 04/07/2009, -0/+1It is almost exactly like that. A lot of people mistakingly believe that it's related to the official newspaper of the Communist Party of the USSR though. It's kind of funny.
- je12u, on 04/07/2009, -0/+1If you couldn't stomach the article...don't go looking for the video. It's probably the worst thing I ever watched, especially if you have the sound turned up. Way worse than any of the *normal beheading or suicide vids we have all seen.
- bingostud722, on 04/06/2009, -1/+1Sounds like a Jimi Hendrix song
- letsgetsurgical, on 04/19/2009, -0/+0You're a moron. You think capitalism drove these people do do this? I think they were ***** in the head, according to their own statements, I doubt they were concerned about the country's economic system. Maybe you're right, though... if you don't count the hundreds of millions of people killed in the name of communism, there may be an argument that capitalism is worse in terms of violence.
- sirron811, on 04/06/2009, -1/+1"...and there's something wrong in the heart of man"
- Arcade Fire - j4ck80, on 04/06/2009, -2/+2Isn't Pravda like the Weekly World News?
- govsucks, on 04/09/2009, -1/+1Only a collectivist primate would think that anything but voluntary cooperation is the way things should be done Wookie. People working together of their own free will is civilized. Forced participation is neither civil nor evolved..
