- yocouchdigga, on 11/10/2009, -2/+52How the hell do I opt out of giving this disgusting criminal organization money? With what I've learned about its leader, Prince and all the other horrible ***** they've done (rape, murder, etc), they need to go away.
- pintomp3, on 11/11/2009, -7/+47B b but ACORN!! Massacring civilians and gang rape are nothing compared to advice on tax avoidance!!
- duggtodeath, on 11/11/2009, -2/+36"*****! We just killed 17 innocent civilians. Get my checkbook!"
"For the families, sir?"
"No, to keep people quiet." - pintomp3, on 11/11/2009, -0/+25Xe
- kemp34, on 11/11/2009, -1/+25How does this entity continue to do business with the federal government?
- somberlaine, on 11/11/2009, -1/+22FTA: At midday on Sept. 16, 2007, a Blackwater convoy opened fire on Iraqi civilians in the crowded intersection, spraying automatic weapons fire in ways that investigators later claimed was indiscriminate, and even launching grenades into a nearby school.
launching grenades into a nearby school. really? - aimhelix, on 11/11/2009, -1/+20Just as a side note:
Blackwater is now called Xe. The namechange was a PR move because of their rampant douchebaggery, and most people wouldn't know about the change. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic ... - marx2k, on 11/11/2009, -1/+19You can ask the same about Haliburton and others (Lockheed, for example)
- nico623, on 11/11/2009, -2/+17Oh you must mean Xu. You know since killing and raping all those people, they felt obligated to change their name.
- khfn, on 11/11/2009, -0/+13They have a no-bid contract.
- FredFredrickson, on 11/11/2009, -1/+12Is 'Xe' short for 'Xenophobia'?
- AndrewMoyer, on 11/11/2009, -2/+11A: The federal government is above the law!
Democracy fail. - vinod1978, on 11/11/2009, -0/+8Blackwater only makes our soldier's job in Iraq THAT much harder to accomplish. I'm not saying that we should have gone in there the 1st place. But since we are there we should not allow a company that destroys the public image for our soldiers to continue to be paid hundreds of millions of dollars in tax payer money. Soldier's have complained that "insurgents" can't tell the difference between them and Blackwater employees and because how Blackwater treats the civilians there they place both our military and Blackwater in the same group. Blackwater costs us American lives. Simple as that. Get them out. Now.
- kemp34, on 11/11/2009, -1/+9Is Obama working to forcefully rectify this clearly intolerable situation?
- crj123082, on 11/11/2009, -0/+8And the irony with ACORN - how many of the legislators who rallied against them do you think receive advice on legal tax evasion to save their fortunes? I'd bet it's most...
- scottpigeon, on 11/11/2009, -0/+8Well that would explain how they got away with murder. Literally.
- thandermax, on 11/11/2009, -1/+8Yes
- kemp34, on 11/11/2009, -2/+9How great would it be if people united against all the government BS and we actually worked together to clean it all up?
- govtdoesnotwork, on 11/11/2009, -0/+7I'd say it's more like Republic fail.
- duggtodeath, on 11/11/2009, -2/+9nu.
- FredFredrickson, on 11/11/2009, -1/+7I always get a good laugh at those "Freedom isn't free" bumper stickers. Mostly because the people who use them are the same ones who complain about paying taxes all the time, even though their "hard earned" tax dollars are going directly to the military / government that ensures we keep our freedoms.
- suz123nj, on 11/11/2009, -0/+6What does that have to do with Blackwater who needed to change their name b/c of their misconduct. It was another form of pay to play by a corrupt organization.
- Waiting2awake, on 11/11/2009, -4/+10Excuse me?
Are the wars still going on? YES.
Are the torures still happening? YES.
Are the Renditions continuing? YES
Are the secret Prisons still at work? YES.
Is the Patriot Act still up and extended? YES.
Is FISA Still working? YES.
Are the massive expenditures still going on ? YES.
And you have the audacity to say it is baseless? Buddy give your head a shake. - niradg, on 11/11/2009, -1/+6Al Franken is tyring to change that.
- kemp34, on 11/11/2009, -8/+13I am against Blackwater as much as you, but this ACORN red herring does nothing to help the cause.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 11/11/2009, -1/+6vegan
1. pintomp3 was being sarcastic
2. "the troops" are fighting for the U.S. Corporate Empire, not our freedoms
3. this isn't even about "the troops", it's about Blackwater - Chapman9110, on 11/12/2009, -0/+5Eric Prince is way over due for a nice long prison sentence.
- altgeeky1, on 11/11/2009, -0/+5It worked for Burma...
- akhomestead, on 11/11/2009, -1/+6khfn
So a plane used to try and justify war for MIC gets a pass?
Don't get me wrong it's an awesome plane, but what if that talent was used for something productive, instead of destructive. - marx2k, on 11/11/2009, -1/+6Alternate response: Isn't it obvious, they're Christian soldiers doing the Lord's work.
(Anyone need references to this?) - howdareyou, on 11/11/2009, -1/+5You could boycott lighted vanity mirrors for car window visors, Erik Prince's father invented those.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4The same Bankers are in charge. We are sending some 34K additional troops to Afghanistan further bankrupting the U.S. and robbing it's taxpayers, and the Insurance and Pharma Corps and lobbyists just won the Health Care issue.
I voted for Obama because the McCain would have been no different except another NeoCon war with Iran.
Yes, the same Bankers are in charge. - BlacklabelSAR, on 11/11/2009, -1/+5Give this a watch: The War On Democracy by John Pilger
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-373950057 ... - altgeeky1, on 11/11/2009, -4/+8He's talking about Fox and CNBS manufacturing controversy to help their agenda, or taking news that's unfavorable to their agenda and falsely attributing it to the Democrats.
I'm honestly surprised that Fox hasn't yet attributed the Blackwater murders to President Obama. - pintomp3, on 11/11/2009, -8/+12Funny how there were tons anti-ACORN signs at the teabagging parties but none about Blackwater. I guess right-wingers reserve their outrage for those who give advice on avoiding taxes, even though they hate taxes. I'm simply pointing out the hypocrisy.
- MacDreidel, on 11/11/2009, -1/+5I think a mass execution of most Blackwater/Xe employees...along with many other Government contractors/private militia sounds like a fair trade off, the law doesn't seem to apply to them when they kill or rape people so lets just have some prisoners rape them and then castrate and decapitate. Perhaps have it done one at a time so all the guys waiting for their impending rape/doom will ***** and piss themselves before they get done in.
Strike fear into those people who would dare forget what laws need to be upheld. They only make Americans even more hated than we are already. - crj123082, on 11/11/2009, -2/+5blackwater = evil
on the other hand, I bet we could get a decent video game out of all their exploits - Waiting2awake, on 11/11/2009, -3/+6PIN - It isn't an either or situation it is a BOTH.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 11/11/2009, -1/+4Moore made the point that the Iraqi Insurgents are fighting to defend *their* land and country.
There is a major difference between defending your own country from invaders, and invading and occupying a sovereign country like we did. - pintomp3, on 11/11/2009, -3/+6Isn't privatization wonderful?
- altgeeky1, on 11/11/2009, -2/+4Sorry, but if you killed my mom, I wouldn't have read the rest of your comment, and we certainly wouldn't be having this conversation. Can't you make a rational argument without being an ***** about it?
- akhomestead, on 11/11/2009, -6/+8If I killed your mom, and then Obama obstructed justice so I wouldn't be punished, isn't it his fault then too?
He's continuing the contracts, he's increasing war, and he has done nothing but obstruct justice under the disguise of National Security. The executive branch does not trump the judicial branch. - FredFredrickson, on 11/11/2009, -6/+8There's nothing "red herring" about showing people how moronic the whole ACORN argument is.
- Snap65, on 11/11/2009, -2/+4ph
- BlacklabelSAR, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2I was really just talking about what Moore said about the motivation if people fighting to protect their own homeland vs being the invading force.
Also where is the logic of the U.S. being in Iraq? Better targets is what Rumsfeld said. Logic? - Waiting2awake, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2I always thought it was the currency exchange. They should sue blackwater.
- thandermax, on 11/11/2009, -1/+3Another account :
`````````````````````````````````````
"*****! We just killed 17 innocent civilians. Get my RPG or apache!"
"For the families, sir?"
"No, to keep people quiet." - eliseville, on 11/12/2009, -1/+3@akhomestead
Don't know why you're changing the subject, but if you had your dream, unlucky kids whose parents didn't care or who had problems (spec. ed; behavioral etc.) would be trapped in a nightmare, and the school districts would be left without enough money to pay for expensive needs. What a nightmare ghetto.
Since when is a decent education only supposed to be guaranteed to some? - MacDreidel, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2Sounds even more corrupted and disgusts me even more...guess when you can't win a drug war in Chili and other areas in South America you just move those hired mercs to another country where we have another war that we shouldn't be in.
- seltaeb4, on 11/11/2009, -2/+3No, it's "Ni!"
