Beijing send its surplus workers to Africa

telegraph.co.uk — An estimated 750,000 mainly rural poor have moved there as part of the Chinese government's policy of economic engagement with the continent. There are now a growing number of schemes under which Chinese companies lease tracts of the African countryside and move farmers out to till it.
