I hope the baby can be identified and reunited with his family soon! - inactive, on 04/08/2009, -1/+28Damn.
It is interesing, though, at how some random guy volunteered to care for the child. He was just there. It gives you some insight into the culture there. Even amid the craziness there are good people to be found. - inactive, on 04/08/2009, -1/+15Very Sad Indeed !
- Sublex, on 04/08/2009, -3/+14That sucks sooo hard.
*****. - lear, on 04/08/2009, -1/+10tragic and fortunate at same time
- smemily, on 04/08/2009, -0/+7The story has been updated. The parents are known. The mother is dead, obviously, and the father is in critical condition.
It is wonderful that the other couple were nearby to care for and nurse the baby. - jamdogg, on 04/08/2009, -0/+7The cold hearted callousness of some of the comments here...it's like humanity has been invaded and the weak have been taken over.
- digga1301, on 04/08/2009, -1/+8What a tabloid trash article. However, amazing story.
- inactive, on 04/08/2009, -1/+7As an atheist, I say ***** YOU altrego99. Why would you even say something so stupid? You make the rest of us look bad.
- lelebelle, on 04/08/2009, -0/+6The family who is currently taking care of the baby are truly wonderful people. I do hope the child is reunited with his biological family soon, but I'm sure everyone is thankful for this willing foster family.
- inactive, on 04/08/2009, -0/+5Yeah God is a jerk because some guy set off a bomb in a public place.
- Fozzmonster, on 04/08/2009, -1/+6You know I was thinking the exact opposite...
- JSquad, on 04/08/2009, -0/+4Dude that's exactly what I was thinking
- jamdogg, on 04/08/2009, -1/+5You punishment is that you have to live with yourself. You should re-think your life.
- bkraj, on 04/08/2009, -2/+6Well....good morning to you too digg.
*****. - ian47, on 04/08/2009, -0/+3It was Dr.Evil
- bitterbug, on 04/08/2009, -0/+3@Niallgriff,
That's because it's likely not an atheist making the post, or at least not a rational one. They're taking the roundabout way of saying that "God" was looking out for the little child. The same way that survivors of airplane crashes talk about "God" hearing their prayers while the body bags are being lined up in the field behind them. - jcpudd, on 04/08/2009, -0/+3Oh, dude.
No.
Wrong. - CoD4, on 04/08/2009, -1/+4I hate those martyrdom users
- cuarandera, on 04/08/2009, -2/+4People like you are scary. Its your choice to believe whatever you want, no matter how ignorant it may be. What scares me is you think you have the right to impose your standards and beliefs on others. I can make decisions on my own i dont need you for that thanks.
- inactive, on 04/08/2009, -0/+2Bitterbug, sure I can see how a religious person would say it was God. I say it was luck, and if you analyzed the blast, debris path, etc, you'd be able to understand how it happens. Either way you're right, I think I got trolled.
- vpshockwave, on 04/08/2009, -0/+2You accidentally the whole offensive sentence.
- vladin, on 04/08/2009, -2/+4You are just as scary as the people who carried out the bombing..
- yumtummy, on 04/08/2009, -4/+6Harry Potter?
- BotchaMcCoola, on 04/09/2009, -0/+2I thought we have been bribing Iraq Sunnis expressly to stop these attacks on Shiites (aka "fight al-Qaeda"). What is going wrong with that strategy?
- inactive, on 04/09/2009, -0/+2I wish more people knew what you were talking about. COD FTW !
- inactive, on 04/08/2009, -1/+3:( that's heartbreaking.
- JSquad, on 04/08/2009, -0/+2How was that even- what??
- inactive, on 04/08/2009, -0/+2As a new father I can't even imagine how hard this must be for the surviving father (and ultimately the child). There's going to be a lot of issues and hard times ahead for them as they deal with this. So unnecessary...
- ZimbuTheMonkey, on 04/08/2009, -2/+3The boy that lived.
- jumpenjack, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1agreed, doesn't make it less sad though...
- dave122, on 04/08/2009, -1/+2haha beat me to it.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1God is too old now to do much good. It happens to all of us eventually.
- TruthKid, on 04/08/2009, -2/+3I want to bury you but my dark sense of humor forced me to laugh. You ass.
- inactive, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1Or maybe, you're just a dick.
- phosphite, on 04/08/2009, -2/+3Holy Shiite!
- allseeingalmond, on 04/09/2009, -0/+1HI THERE!
Thanks for submitting you INPUT on this TOPIC. HOWEVER, I don't think your MESSAGE was CLEAR ENOUGH. Perhaps you EXPLAIN your POINT in further DETAIL with a more LIBERAL use of the SHIFT and CAPS LOCK keys.
THANK YOU! - BohicaTwentyTwo, on 04/09/2009, -0/+1Remember that blowback goes both ways. Every time a terrorist bomb goes off killing innocent civilians, more people support our side.
- jimboslutstien, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1Poor little kid
- inactive, on 08/13/2009, -0/+1why thankyou
- hojin994, on 04/09/2009, -0/+1it's ***** pathetic that some users make jokes about an article like this.
amazing mother, btw. don't take yours for granted. =| - xoomac, on 04/09/2009, -1/+1Spoken by one whose profile pic idolizes an atheist that foolishly & falsely believes the bible is B.S.
Scary? Try looking in the mirror, man. - HolyOne, on 04/15/2009, -0/+0Innocent people die at the hands of these evil people who do not want to see their own people free or have the right to be free people. The War was wrong but we did it and now we must finish the job good Iraq people want to be free they want their land back, America should leave a soon as possible and all of us Americans owe a lot to the fine Men and Women who love America enough to go over their and help strangers.
- onelonelymoment, on 04/08/2009, -5/+5***** war
- xueshigao2, on 04/08/2009, -5/+5Mothers are great,no doubt.
- Devine122, on 04/08/2009, -5/+5Austin Powers?
- EnnuiStudent, on 04/08/2009, -2/+1-Waits for someone to say "kill it with fire"...-
- moose26, on 04/08/2009, -5/+4And we dare to call ourselves civilized when when horrific acts like this happen on a seemingly daily basis. The catch 22 of this is our trying to play global cop on all things bad is not working that well.
- johnySK, on 04/08/2009, -1/+0that's sad. what a great mom!
- inactive, on 04/08/2009, -2/+1Ah, the science and benefits of Fire Hydraulics.
