- gnews, on 08/23/2008, -1/+78"... the low temperature inside the cooler had slowed down the baby's metabolism and likely helped her survive." That's incredible!

http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1218710 ... - OstrakonX, on 08/24/2008, -2/+49I read the title and thought it was some kind of story about an undead baby that lives in the hospital freezer when visiting hours are over.
- inactive, on 08/24/2008, -12/+46That's a chilling thought.
- sgtbutterscotch, on 08/24/2008, -0/+31I wish I had some cool puns to use...
:( - hurtmetomysoul, on 08/24/2008, -7/+33How do you make a dead baby float?
Take your foot off its head.
or:
A glass of soda and 2 scoops of baby. - FromFirstToLast, on 08/24/2008, -4/+27Wow who cares if it makes it to the front page again then obviously enough people haven't seen it before to bring it there again.
- zeptobyte, on 08/24/2008, -1/+20Or you're just an idiot. But sure, I'm open to both possibilities.
- iatethecake, on 08/24/2008, -2/+19That's cold...
(so getting buried) - Neiby, on 08/24/2008, -2/+17Someone should verify the father's last name. I'm betting it's really Thorn.
- Velnich, on 08/24/2008, -2/+15When there's no more room in hell, the dead shall crawl the earth.
- jtbell04, on 08/24/2008, -2/+13"You have a very ice baby."
- timrob, on 08/24/2008, -0/+11You don't have any medical knowledge on the issue, and less than that, you don't watch any tv medical shows that have the obligatory person who falls in frozen lakes or get caught in snow. A person who has been keep cold, can have their metabolism slowed to almost nothing, and some actually have no heart beat for longer than the normal 3 minutes for brain damage, and survive with no perceivable brain damage.
- androothebear, on 08/24/2008, -3/+14but then they put him in an oven and he came back again!!
- kiantech, on 08/24/2008, -1/+11aww I was so happy now I feel like crap. =(
- Bjango, on 08/24/2008, -3/+11What's up with all of the "dead" babies coming back to life?
- Froderick, on 08/24/2008, -0/+7What an insensitive comment. I'll be giving you the cold shoulder from now on.
- DivineMonkey, on 08/24/2008, -0/+7Shoulda kept her in the damn freezer...
- sab0tage, on 08/24/2008, -6/+13"We don't know how to explain this, so when we don't know how to explain things in the medical world we call it a miracle"
Call me a rationalist, but I'd say "unusual" rather than "miracle". - coolcash2005, on 08/24/2008, -0/+7Icee what you did there
- sockpuppets, on 08/24/2008, -2/+9English *****, do you speak it?
- ch1pm0nk, on 08/24/2008, -4/+11IN YOUR HEEEAAAAD, IN YOUR HEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAADDDDDD, ZOOOOOMMMMBIIIIEEE ZOOOOOMMMBIIIEEEE ZOOOMMBIE-E-E-E

"In this universe, there's only one absolute ... everything freezes!"
*cringe* - EffYoo, on 08/24/2008, -0/+6Too bad that it died, never should have happened
- dignan2681, on 08/24/2008, -0/+6yeah, that title needed some punctuation.
- transmothra, on 08/24/2008, -1/+7my first thought exactly!
- JCPahl, on 08/24/2008, -0/+6For now.
- sockpuppets, on 08/24/2008, -0/+5DeuceDiggalow seems appropriate.
- DavidGX, on 08/24/2008, -0/+5Seriously though, I bet that baby was as cold as the rockies.
- Animal, on 08/24/2008, -2/+7And with the eventual final result, a pretty lame 'miracle.'
- inactive, on 08/24/2008, -1/+6Baby is dead again.
- HawaiiRacer, on 08/24/2008, -1/+7Oh *****! ZOMBIE BABIES. That's it we're screwed.

- perrym, on 08/24/2008, -1/+4was this the baby from about 1 week ago that was dead, came alive again but is now dead again?
are we going to see the followup in a few days saying that it has died again? - uberduger, on 08/24/2008, -0/+3Undead baby eats shoots and leaves.
- ousthouse, on 08/24/2008, -2/+5Actually, I'd say "bad medical staff who can't tell a dead baby from a live one"
- urbandistrict, on 08/24/2008, -1/+3I had to look that up... by that time it wasn't funny. Close though!
- uberduger, on 08/24/2008, -0/+2Overhead!
Is it a bird???
Is it a plane?!?!
No... it's... it's a joke. - amoirae, on 08/24/2008, -0/+2With a twist of lemon!
- urbandistrict, on 08/24/2008, -1/+3it's clearly because you enjoy weak jokes.
- uberduger, on 08/24/2008, -0/+2You're not dead until you're warm and dead.
- newms32, on 08/24/2008, -0/+2You must really be proud.
- ReiN, on 08/24/2008, -1/+3The baby died after less than a day, btw.
Read the articles transmothra posted. - hadlaat, on 08/24/2008, -1/+3Only partly accurate.
As stated, this was a premature birth - 23rd week with the fetus at 600gr. The chances of surviving birth at such a stage are not high even if everything goes well.
The new-born did not show any life signs and the doctors pronounced her dead. A few hours later, the parent went to the morgue to say their last farewell to the baby, and then they notices that she moved. She was taken to the premature-birth emergency care unit, but she did not last the night. She (really) died after a few hours.
The whole thing is now under investigation. They are considering malpractice. But the sad truth is that this new born was not destined to live in the first place. probably the cold-shock did cause some of her body systems to start working. But she did not stand any real chance. - cap11235, on 08/24/2008, -1/+3If he was an English *****, he'd have better grammar. Commas make a difference.
- cajungator2, on 08/24/2008, -1/+3Zombie!
- unikorn, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1No surprise. It happened in Jerusalem, Israel! :)
