- jodimcmullen, on 09/17/2008, -0/+104I think the military is preparing to keep us in line, civil unrest could become quite a problem with all that is unfolding. People are finally waking up and getting pissed off. Do any of you remember Kent State?
- JKap, on 09/17/2008, -1/+103'The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.'
Wow, I feel safer.
From world cop, to state cop, to local cop, is this really the right use of the U.S. Armed Forces?
Why not send those boys down to the border with Mexico to see if we can't close that border? - LeepII, on 09/17/2008, -2/+100Hey, doesn't the Constitution specifically forbid this? Oh wait, not like our government follows the Constitution any more.
WAKE UP AMERICA! Martial law is coming. - Striker101, on 09/17/2008, -0/+88Looks like special training for martial law to me.
perhaps to support their new mode of nationalization e.g. AIG - inactive, on 09/17/2008, -1/+89Leepil is referring to Posse Comitatus. It is not part of the Constitution but is a well established part of US Federal Law, going back to 1878 - after the Civil War.
Wikipedia: "Posse Comitatus Act"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act
The Bush White House in their usual style goes about asking neo-Fascist lawyers for an interpretation of US Laws that favors their side of the argument. And of course Congress plays right along. This is all part of the Unitary Executive which is nothing less than a plan to create a Fascist Dictatorship.
-------
See this article for more information on the Unitary Executive.
http://writ.news.findlaw.com/commentary/20060109_b ...
Thomas Paine wrote in Common Sense:
In America, the law is king. For as in absolute governments the King is law, so in free countries the law ought to be king; and there ought to be no other.
The unitary executive doctrine conflicts with Paine's principle - one that is fundamental to our constitutional system. If Bush can ignore or evade laws, then the law is no longer king. Americans need to decide whether we are still a country of laws - and if we are, we need to decide whether a President who has determined to ignore or evade the law has not acted in a manner contrary to his trust as President and subversive of constitutional government.

See also the "Federalist Society". It's no surprise that belonging to the Federalist Society has been a pre-requisite for getting a job in the Bush "Justice" Dept.

People, it is much later than we think. All Bush needs is a Declaration of a State of Emergency. That "emergency" could be a war, or a financial crisis, or a natural disaster, or civil unrest. In which case he will declare himself to have Dictatorial Emergency Powers. I sometimes think that this is why Congress is so afraid to stand up to him.
In fact we are already living under various States of Emergency. Bush declared a state of emergency after 9/11. He used those powers to declare "enemy combatants", and to violate the FISA laws. The Federal Reserve had to declare a financial emergency to begin lending money and acquiring private corporations. Under its normal charter, it is not authorized to do that. And now we have US military, fresh from a brutal war in Iraq, that will be patrolling our streets! - raisputin3, on 09/17/2008, -1/+60All I can say is lock & load....
- ConcernedCanuck, on 09/17/2008, -0/+56http://digg.com/world_news/Troops_patrolling_Itali ...
Its going to happen more and more around the world and the justification will be "ITS FOR OUR SAFETY"... more like the safety of the individuals that got us into this mess...
My advice: buy gold and guns because you will likely be paying several hundred dollars for some eggs and bread. - brightlight4, on 09/17/2008, -0/+51Will US army troops shoot against their own countrymen? I thought they were smarter than that. Might be a good idea to get them to think about how they are hurting their own country too?
- inactive, on 09/18/2008, -0/+48I found another article on this subject.
http://www.airforcetimes.com/news/2008/06/airforce ...
"Beginning in October, a federal military response will be available for the worst disasters."
CBRNE stands for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear or high-yield Explosive
CCMRF (sea-murf or smurf) stands for CBRNE Consequence Management Response Force
"Three CCMRFs, each with about 4,500 troops from all branches, are in the making."
“There is high expectation in the public eye that if something happens, there needs to be a [Defense Department] response, and it needs to be quick.”
"CCMRF 2 is expected to be fully operational by the start of fiscal 2010, with CCMRF 3 ready by the start of fiscal 2011."
" 'We envision that [the CCMRFs] could be regionally based,' Cunniff said, perhaps one on each coast and one in the middle."
-------
My comments:
So summing up, here's what we know. The first CCMRFs will be available in October. the CCMRFs are designed to respond to a "terrorist" attack. This is just the first phase of a growing military force for "homeland security".
This gives us some clues as the type and timing of a false flag attack. My conclusion is that sometime after October there will be a major "terrorist" attack. Martial Law will be declared. CCMRFs will be deployed in addition to regular police. I suppose the Military doesn't trust the local police to be willing to go along with full Martial Law in all jurisdictions. The three CCMRF units will be deployed where necessary to establish control. Roadblocks will be setup and curfews will be implemented. So will this happen before or after the elections? Will there even be elections? - mediamonarchy, on 09/18/2008, -0/+43in any other country, having the military on the streets would make you a 3rd world police state, but it's not fascism when we do it...
- GovernmentSp00k, on 09/17/2008, -0/+42So much for Posse Comitatus. This is a small step towards a bigger agenda.
Can they "help" us take back our hijacked government? Thought so.. - inactive, on 09/17/2008, -0/+41This article is a great find. Just as I suspected the RNC and the rounding up of "illegal immigrants", is just a prelude. The same FEMA camps that are being built to house "illegal immigrants" can just as easily hold dissident protesters. The same laws are used to prosecute both groups as "terrorists" or "enemy combatants". Thus stripping them of their rights. And, yes, even illegal immigrants have rights. How can a human being living in the US not have rights? "With Liberty and Justice for All". And, yes, we do need to protect our borders.
But the important thing is that we agree on the danger to the Constitution and the American way of life that these Fascist laws represent. - inactive, on 09/19/2008, -0/+33Well *****!!! I just now saw this one. Thanks for the shout. This it tantamount to setting the Constitution and Bill of Rights on fire as rubbish. I know I'm preaching to the choir again, but damn! I am amazed at what people will just stand by and tolerate!!! The really sad/infuriating part is that this will happen without most people even knowing!!! Civil liberties? WTF is that? This just made a really bad evening (morning for me), worse.
We must not give up the fight. - runforron, on 09/18/2008, -0/+33Martial law around the corner. Do you know what to do?
- GrandmaSheila, on 09/19/2008, -0/+32"“There is high expectation in the public eye that if something happens, there needs to be a [Defense Department] response, and it needs to be quick.”
That is a complete lie. The Public doesn't want the Military patroling their neighborhoods, turning the USA into one big Baghdad Green Zone!
And that is exactly what they are going to do, dear friends. - algaeturd, on 09/18/2008, -0/+31Looks like the stars are aligning....the ONLY ingredient not here to push forward the agenda of these madmen is a reason to declare martial law. That's IT. Add that to the situation and it's an instant flashpoint.
- americangoy, on 09/17/2008, -1/+27"From world cop, to state cop, to local cop, is this really the right use of the U.S. Armed Forces?"
Shut up scum and up against the wall!
Damn hippie commie librul s**t! - OwdenBowden, on 09/22/2008, -0/+24First they control the media
Next they take away your guns
Then they take away your rights
Finally - they send the military in to keep up under control.
Is it me or do I see Civil War part II - bill1328, on 09/21/2008, -0/+23Let's not forget that the US Govt just recently decided to sell bombs to Israel to start some ***** with Iran
- Erich100, on 09/17/2008, -3/+26The soldiers will be wearing helmets that are UN blue when they come to save us.
They will be from other countries as well. All unified under UN control. - inactive, on 09/22/2008, -0/+23The government is going to mug us for a trillion dollars, and it looks like they are going to mug us at gunpoint. This is a hard turn into the fascism they've worked so assiduously to lay the groundwork for these past 8 years.
- inactive, on 09/20/2008, -0/+22got Posse Comitatus?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act - sullivancg, on 09/21/2008, -0/+22And what of posse comitatus? There's a reason only National Guardsman are able to be used for "civil unrest". This is a dangerous giant step closer to WWII style fascism. I know I personally will not follow such orders. I suggest contacting your congressman and/or senators!
- Carolab444, on 09/20/2008, -0/+21Holy S**T. Anyone hear of the Heroes Act of 2008? You can't give up your citizenship without being taxed capital gains on assets whether or not they have been sold.
- jfingers1, on 09/18/2008, -3/+23Get ready folks, get your weapons ready. Are you ready to fight for your freedom? Are you ready to stop the fascist madmen. Will the real patriots please stand up
- Striker101, on 09/20/2008, -0/+20very good
"That "emergency" could be a war, or a financial crisis, or a natural disaster, or civil unrest. In which case he will declare himself to have Dictatorial Emergency Powers."
the stage is set for any or all of the above. - flavioribeiro, on 09/20/2008, -0/+20Generally speaking, the troops will do whatever their commanding officers tell them to.
- bill1328, on 09/21/2008, -0/+19I beg you.......if you don't have a gun, please buy one now and lots or ammo. Once martial law is declared, it will be illegal to buy one. Or you could just wait a couple days and pry one from the cold, dead fingers of the jackbooted thug that your neighbor killed.....there should be plenty of guns then :-) have a nice day in Free AmeriKa!!!!
- sassey, on 09/20/2008, -0/+17Exactly what I've been feeling!
- MizSwann, on 09/20/2008, -1/+18Locked & Loaded, Dude - Locked & Loaded!!
(as per my RIGHTS as proscribed by the Constitution of The United States, of course......) - inactive, on 09/22/2008, -0/+16With the banking trillion dollar ripoff, the fascist government really has something to fear from pissed off americans.
- twistaspliff, on 09/22/2008, -0/+15Sounds to me like a new "terrorist attack" is coming right on schedule before the election. Get ready for martial law where FEMA will be in control of everything. Let the slavery begin.
- TWGMichael, on 09/22/2008, -0/+15Isn't this in direct violation of Posse Comitatus?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act - JONNYREBEL, on 09/18/2008, -7/+22Dont fire till You see the UN blue Helmets, then show'em what an American is made of.
- muckemuck, on 09/20/2008, -0/+15meh, I don't think it's anything beyond training. Then again, October 1 is the end of the short selling ban on Wall Street. Oh, and there was that little thing Bush got passed with Canada recently that allows Canadian troops to be used in case of widespread calamity in the US.
- MizSwann, on 09/20/2008, -1/+15Wanna bet a "dollar" that an "Emergency" ...uhh, of an even greater magnitude than this Presidency has so far managed to induce (if that's even freakin' possible....) will emerge here shortly?? I don't - need to keep that measly dollar....for whatever it isnt worth!
EVERYBODY!!
ALL TOGETHER, NOW.....
THINK "BUSH WILL SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST!! BUSH WILL SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST!!"
FREAKIN' TRAITOR...
yeah, yeah - digg me down ya freakin' vegetable..... - SaraLiberty, on 09/24/2008, -0/+14They're conditioning us to accept military troops on US soil. No mention of this on the controlled "mainstream" media at all. The silence is deafening. Why bother right? We're only told what we "need to know." As long as the story fits the plan. Anything else just "isn't important" "not newsworthy' and of course never happened! Stay tuned for the next Britney Spears update.
Does this mean the proverbial ***** is gonna hit the fan sometime soon? Just in time to utilize NSPD-51 to suspend November rigged elections, declare 'martial law' under the "patriot act" and guarantee a Shrub neoCON PNAC presidency for 4 more years. Joy. Meanwhile, a taxpayer funded trillion dollar "bailout" is waiting in the wings to payoff the bankster mafia in collusion with government criminal deceivers.
And to think we have a taxpayer funded "Federal Emergency Management Agency" set up (supposedly) for disaster relief and response planning. And police in every state to combat "crowd control" and "citizen unrest." Why are 'Army brigades" and military suddenly required permanently on US soil for (allegedly) same purpose? - bill1328, on 09/21/2008, -2/+15Let's not forget that the US Govt just recently decided to sell bombs to Israel to start some ***** with Iran
- inactive, on 09/22/2008, -0/+13The fatcats will sit on their offshore island resorts, next to trillions they have stolen, while ordinary Americans fight it out in the streets of our cities. The fatcats will laugh at the casualty figures.
- sigg14, on 09/21/2008, -0/+13add the reagent of a false flag terror attack to the mix and you got your martial law. I wonder how many people will welcome martial law as a protection from the nonexistent "terrorists".
- JenniferInMO, on 09/23/2008, -3/+15For all of you people who are freaked that our government is turning inward toward fascism shame on you if you voted in these tryannical right-wing extremists. You are so soaked in the juices of the hatred that the right-wing hate radio and TV has pickled you in that you don't even realize that you put them in power. YOU did this to us. If you are moronic enough to think that John McCain isn't going to love being Commander-in-Chief of the Homeland Security Forces you are insane.
These right wing power nazis have got you people so afraid of anyone and anything but their talking points that you will vote them in again. You are afraid of liberals, blacks, jews, poor people, Democrats, illegal aliens, women, anyone and everyone from a foreign country or who practices a different religion. I bet you hate cats too. For God's sake people wake up! You are pawns. You gave them this country on a platter and they are taking all of it.
This was the greatest country in the world and we still can be if we kick them all out, every last money-grubbing, power hungry rich elitist.
Turn off the anti-Obama programming and do something to stop this freaking madness. - Shellius, on 09/22/2008, -0/+12The timing of this -- October 1st -- might mean they are anticipating something around election time. Either Bush's own "October surprise" or maybe they anticipate something after the elections. We have to spread this news far and wide so people are mentally ready to see tanks and soldiers in the streets. The day is coming . . . .
Yes, it would violate the Posse Comitatus Act IF there were still such a thing in effect. The National Defense Authorization Act that Bush signed in 2007 overturned it.
http://www.inteldaily.com/?c=117&a=1431
Do you think the 3,500 police and national guard at the RNC were practicing for anything?
Welcome to the new United States. We had our chance and I guess we just didn't protest enough. - inactive, on 09/18/2008, -2/+14Good. You can spot UN blue a LONG ways off. Perfect for aiming.
- neurobox, on 09/19/2008, -1/+11...and here they come to unlock and unload.
- Striker101, on 09/20/2008, -0/+10Frank, you write some pretty good stuff. How about doing the long answers on webpages and submit them?
- inactive, on 09/23/2008, -0/+10This is why we needed to impeach Bush/Cheney last year. It's still not too late to remove them from office -- no hearings necessary, the Paulson bailout proposal is enough evidence to impeach/convict for abuse of power.
We have at most 2 weeks left before the REAL ***** hits the fan. This is going to go very badly. - naturegrrrl, on 09/23/2008, -0/+10This is one of the scariest things I've read lately. And the story is completely under the radar, not on the MSM screen at all is it? If I hadn't listened to Democracy Now this morning, I'd have no idea. This seems like a major, major change in how our Armed Forces are being used, Think they'll be studying up on all those remaining Timothy McVeigh types that are still out there? Or will they just concentrate on left-leaning independent journalists and progressive political organizations? On second thought, don't answer that, I don't think I really want to know the answer to that!
- inactive, on 09/22/2008, -0/+9They'll be careful to deploy only troops that have no problem shooting fellow Americans. Blackwater pirates can back them up. Shoot back.
- magus_melchior, on 09/23/2008, -0/+9"They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control."
You know who else dumped his own thugs when he got the army's support? Adolf Hitler. Does this mean that the Republicans will reach for the Army directly, instead of telling the Secret Service to direct the local police? This is a preparatory measure to crushing an armed revolt, which is the last option we have of setting this crooked government straight.
How can we so easily forget that back in the 18th century, the British Army-- especially after the Boston Tea Party-- was prone to abuse their position and conduct arbitrary searches and force civilians to provide room and board? Isn't that the entire reason why we have the Bill of Rights!? (3rd and 4th Amendments in particular)
How is it that we forget so quickly that our nation was originally averse to a standing army, precisely because a standing army can be so easily abused by a corrupt government?
If Obama is elected, Bush may declare martial law, or Cheney may if Bush will not, to prevent a Democrat from taking power.
And to those of you in the armed forces: Your service and sacrifice for our protection is admirable and appreciated. I ask that you, especially officers, remember why we fought the British Crown in the 18th century and 1812, and that your mission is always the safety of the American citizen. - paintgrl, on 09/23/2008, -0/+9I think they know the people will riot and are moving in the military. When was the last time the Military and not the National Guard was called in to control it's own citizenry.
This is very very very BAD!!!!
