Keep the guns in the hands of the responsible so that the weak may be defended. The 2nd Amendment gives us this right for a reason, and the Supreme Court has backed it up for consistently for the same reasons. America is a country of the people. There will be times when we will need to defend ourselves. Times such as Katrina or VT when the government finds itself hopeless.
I figure most of the readers are coming from the below story, but if you're not, I suggest you read the comments. Some of them are very thought provoking.

- acteg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Thankfully there are brave people in this world who were fortunate enough to live in a location where their local goverments are not afraid to empower the people. It's interesting to see a different series of events when good law abiding citizens are granted the means to protect themselves
- enzomedici, on 02/17/2008, -0/+1People always get killed in gun free zones.Cops are useless, they don't prevent crime. They show up after you are dead, after someone has been raped or after all of your ***** is stolen. Get a gun and protect yourself. Period.
