- jeddyftb, on 06/30/2009, -2/+32I thought they put this ***** on hold when Michael Jackson died.
This is pretty inconsiderate. - AmnesiacJack, on 06/30/2009, -1/+16Thanks CNN it only took you a ***** week to get out this critical information.
- snagglefoof, on 06/30/2009, -1/+15"beating civilians in an attempt to stop nightly rooftop chants of 'Allahu Akbar' (God is great)"
So they're stopping people from being Muslim in a Muslim country. - solid12345, on 06/30/2009, -1/+15Breaking news: it is not safe to be an Iranian in Iran.
- Solkre, on 06/30/2009, -0/+13What do you normally have a mouthful of?
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -3/+14End the Theocracy and install Democracy.
How can a man of God kill his own people? - FritoPendejo, on 06/30/2009, -2/+12Seems like a pretty effective idea if you're an Iranian Nazi.
- SirVenro, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9He fell down some stairs...
- BaphClass, on 06/30/2009, -0/+8You're lucky I didn't have a mouthful of anything when I read that.
- LawScholar, on 06/30/2009, -0/+7Ah, 'savages'. That's some crisp, cool, old fashioned ignorance.
- Akairenn, on 06/30/2009, -1/+7No, I'm pretty sure they hate us for interfering in their countries. You know, toppling legitimate governments, installing puppets. That sort of thing.
- Barackalypse, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5Sounds kind of like what happens in the US if you show up at a hospital with a gunshot wound, except instead of the Islamic milita showing up to make you disappear its the Police showing up to interrogate you.
- Nydendarin, on 06/30/2009, -1/+6penif
- fury420, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5and in that case they take down all your info, get the whole account, you actually get medical treatment, and you don't get "disappeared" out of your hospital room and not seen or heard from for weeks
- SScottAZ, on 06/30/2009, -2/+7This is all America's fault...I mean the UK's...uh...Isreal's fault..yea...that the ticket...Isreal's fault...somehow...I'll figure something out.
Definitely not the ayatollah of rocken' rolla's fault...that's for sure. - brisketplease, on 06/30/2009, -2/+7mirror http://digg.com/world_news/Amnesty_Hospitals_are_n ...
- sonnybobiche, on 06/30/2009, -5/+9The same thing happened in Tienanmen Square in 1989. Students protested, America said "you go, girl!" but did nothing to help them, and then the Chinese government murdered every one of them and the protests ended.
Calling it "outrageous" isn't anywhere near enough. People don't hate America because we interfere in their countries. They hate America because when they need us, we're not there. - Plan8Podcast, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3Iranians need to permanently end the uneducated fundamentalist sadistic attack dog Basiji militias to keep change going. They allow the dredge dropouts of their society to gain power to bully them into suppression. The Basiji are the first things that need to go for true change to come to Iran. People can police them self when it comes to "Religious matter" not militant skirt messures who show no respect for women and again I state are the rejects who were to stupid to finish even secondary education and thus wanted to seek power through means of sadistic state authorized cu.ltural freedom of expression. They are the equivalent of the SS or Hilter youth of the Iranian government in my personal opinion.
- sonnybobiche, on 06/30/2009, -3/+6If your neighbor was beating the ***** out of you in public and the guy across the street was just watching and not doing anything, you wouldn't hate him?
- Talphin, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Guns are a tool, religion (at least in the desert dogmas case) is a philosophy that literally teaches people to hate, torture, degrade, enslave and kill other people. Guns don't come with a manual telling you why and how you should kill people and why it is justified.
The only people in Christianity and Islam who aren't out there killing and torturing in the name of their religion, are the ones who cherry pick and ignore much of their religion. This is a fact. If you want to argue with that, perhaps you should try actually reading the Bible or the Quran.
Here, let me get you started:
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/cruelty/long.htm ... - nephilimx, on 06/30/2009, -2/+4Im Interested in the names of the countrys which hospitals give asylum to people wanted by police.
- nytrokiss, on 06/30/2009, -2/+4This should be blasted to the front of all places. They are preventing the Iran from ever being normal again. (Before the ROP (Religion of Peace) took over...)
- sonnybobiche, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Communism isn't really a form of government, it's an economic system. China's economy may be adopting certain free-market reforms, but it's still QUITE communist.
And the government is 100% totalitarian. - Rikkochet, on 06/30/2009, -1/+3If you're so inclined, "God" also drowned all of his own children...
I'm sure there are a half dozen brilliant quotes by Voltaire that are appropriate here, but suffice it to say that being religious and believing in a god are as different as China's government and communism. They just use popular labels to retain control. - zyklon, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2They believe in God the wrong way.
- jesusfish, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Apparently we'll soon have a similar organization in the US called the brownshirts.
- sonnybobiche, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Well, you'd be wrong in the case of those Chinese students protesting for democracy, in the case of the Iranians protesting against a rigged election, in the case of South Vietnamese who were forced to leave their own country in a mass exodus after the communists took over when we pulled out, in the case of the Dominicans who would be under communist rule if we hadn't invaded (during Operation: Powerpack) in the 1960s, in the case of North Korea, which would be as free and prosperous as South Korea if we had finished the job there.
This is just off the top of my head. - LawScholar, on 06/30/2009, -4/+5Why is it our job to regulate other countries? That's like me hating a guy that lives across town because when my neighbor was picking on me he didn't come defend me.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1This is none of anyone's business.
- sonnybobiche, on 06/30/2009, -1/+2Killing protesters is not the equivalent of shouting at the TV. If you want a household analogy for what's happening in Iran, it's more akin to beating your wife because she starts complaining about not getting to make any decisions, then cutting the phone lines so she can't call out and pulling the shades and locking the doors so no one can see in.
- sonnybobiche, on 06/30/2009, -1/+2"Allahu Akbar" has become a chant of solidarity and unified resistance to the Ahmedinejad regime there. That's why they're attempting to stop it.
- LawScholar, on 07/01/2009, -0/+1Are you actually making that argument? How about the millions purged due to economic differences or political disloyalty in Stalinist Russia, under a regime that was atheist? Stalinists believed that they were doing the best thing for society be eliminating 'dissidents' I'm not religious myself, but to make the claim that the only thing that makes people commit self-righteous atrocity is religioun is a completely uneducated, historically ignorant argument to make.
- LawScholar, on 06/30/2009, -1/+2SillyDigger,
Did you even read my ***** post? I was mocking the idea that you can judge a religion based on the actions of individuals. - Talphin, on 06/30/2009, -8/+8The good old religion of peace is at it again.
- Talphin, on 06/30/2009, -1/+1"I was mocking the idea that you can judge a religion based on the actions of individuals."
Sure, and you are ignorant for arguing such a thing. Don't you know? Religion is the only thing that can make a good person do evil things, and still believe they are doing good.
Religion is poison, and humanity is it's victim. - LawScholar, on 06/30/2009, -2/+2And guns are flawed because they can kill people, right, and not the people who use them with twisted intent?
To blame an idea or an object for the actions of individuals with the ability to make a reasoned choice is absurd. - LawScholar, on 06/30/2009, -7/+6Hey, remember when those Christians killed that doctor because he allowed women to make choices with their own bodies? Remember how I judged the entire religion because of it, and condemned all Christians as murdering thugs?
Oh wait. I didn't. That would be ***** retarded of me. - tonsiljuggler, on 06/30/2009, -1/+0@jesusfish And boy will they be loved.
- LawScholar, on 06/30/2009, -2/+1Well, if my neighbor had barged into my house every time I shouted at the TV or my kids or my spouse and blown off my kitchen with a bomb, I might be a little less inclined to want his help.
- gantz9x, on 06/30/2009, -3/+2His name was robert paulson
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -3/+1@The good old religion of peace is at it again.
@remember when those Christians killed that doctor because he allowed women to make choices with their own bodies
Dumb and dumber: Digg Edition. - Nydendarin, on 06/30/2009, -5/+3"Democracy" - You're doing it wrong.
- pazimzadeh, on 06/30/2009, -3/+1ha you make it sounds so easy. just like installing the new version of firefox right?
- tonsiljuggler, on 06/30/2009, -2/+0It was perfectly save a few weeks ago when bombing them was a viable option. You know, bombing them to freedom and democracy.
- reaper527, on 06/30/2009, -6/+3but the iranian government is so nice. i think obama just has to talk to them and give them a hug and it will make everything better [/sarcasm]
- tonsiljuggler, on 06/30/2009, -4/+1Israeligrl.
tsk, tsk, tsk.
Where do you find this stuff?? - BaphClass, on 06/30/2009, -9/+5What a shocking shocker of an article. Read it, and let it shock you with it's shockingness. Nobody could have ever seen this coming, oh no. Shocking.
- Talphin, on 06/30/2009, -5/+1Of course, but at the same time, if the Nazis can use the same religion to justify killing Jews, and early Americans can use it to justify slavery, than this means that the religion itself is fundamentally wrong and flawed. I made no mention of all Islamic people, I made mention of the religion itself, and yes the "religion of peace" is used to justify this, which means it is also wrong and flawed.
- tonsiljuggler, on 06/30/2009, -8/+1I guess they hate them because they are free.
No wait.
They hate them because they are filthy muselimps.
No, that can't be it.
THEN WHAT IS IT ISRAELIGIRL. -
