- pmtk724, on 07/17/2008, -1/+2Big Al says we can eliminate all fossile fuel consumption in 10 yrs, but his liberal buddies say we can't safely bring more oil online in less than a decade? Huh? The technology exists to safely extract and use fossil fuels until alternate energy sources can mature.
Besides that, the "carbon footprint" is a load of crap. It's not me saying it, but over 31,000 Ph.D.'s.
We're all for clean air & water. Pollution literally is killing people, but not CO2. Global warming is a crock. - commnav328, on 07/17/2008, -1/+3I call on Al Gore to shut up and please go away. You are worst than the crazy uncle that nobody wants at the family reunion, because you want to destoy the United States and he only wanted to drink too much and kiss all the women.
- work1, on 07/17/2008, -2/+3Please for the love of everything Holy, go the ______ away!! Ofcourse he's an idiot he'll have his kool-aid drinkers follow his every word, why, because this "global warming" hoax is the new Marxist / Communists agenda to get the "freedom" loving Americana's to willingly hault the most robust economy the world has ever seen, thus paving the way for a more world friendly America, Barak Hussein Obama's America, perhaps.... Al Gore keeps talking, and in his mind, trying to do all he can to keep ethanol subsidies flowing, oil prices increasing, to what end. Why is it the Dumbacraps are blocking every attempt to drill for more oil? Why is it, if the speculators are to blame for the price of oil, why aren't they to blame for the price of corn, due to the ethanol joke? As soon as the President (capital P, by the way, not Mr. Bush) struck down his fathers executive order not to drill for oil off the coast, the price of oil has been sliding now for 3 days, the stock market is in the black, and the Dumbasses are saying what? We can't drill our way out of this? In a sense their right, we don't need to drill at this very second to see the price drop, just the act of eliminating the restrictions will do that. Now, are Nancy P, and Harry ( I'm an idiot ) Reid really that stupid to not understand how the free market and the economy works? Or worse yet, they do understand and yet willingly, at every turn, do all that they can think of to put out misinformation, block debate on the House and Senate floors, and subsidize ( our tax money at work ) ethanol, wind and solar, all of which needs some form of carbon either as a back up because the system is not efficient or to get it to the market. The worse congressional approval ratings, well ever? And please someone tell me how taking a raw resource out of the earth, burning it on the earth, is going to damage the earth? That's some pretty errogant speak!

- DesertDad, on 07/18/2008, -0/+2Wind turbines generally are installed with about a one-mile setback. When Al turbines up for his next speech, hopefully it will be on a coastal cliff, and, well... .
How ungreen of me, that event might require an environmental impact statement.
