- Zortrium, on 04/18/2009, -84/+977Before you hail this guy as a hero, bear in mind that he openly preaches that:
Barack Obama is the devil:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdtJwg_8aG8&fea ...
Judaism is the religion of the Antichrist:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkiN-2SeYqE
The New International Version of the bible is heretical and should be burned:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ABDM9xneqo
Judging from the last time he showed up on digg,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUzd7G875Hc
its starting to look as though he spends his spare time doing his best to antagonize the police at check points into doing something stupid (which really isnt that hard) so that he can film it and get more publicity for his insane religious rants.
Its easy to root against these cops, but you should know who youre rooting for. - Acrinimiril, on 04/18/2009, -51/+710
Government Agent: says he pulled out a weapon because of, "the way you're behaving."
American Patriot: "I'm behaving like somebody who believes this is a free country, and doesn't appreciate this stinking police-state, where I have to be stopped in the middle of the road to tell you the answer to a question. I just want to go free on my way."
Time 15:45 - NSResponder, on 04/18/2009, -52/+592Yeah, cause terrorists do all they can to draw attention to themselves by resisting illegal searches, right?
That border agent is too goddamned stupid to be trusted to tie his own shoes, let alone carry a gun and a badge.
-jcr - alexllanio, on 04/18/2009, -68/+560Oh my god, this guy is my hero! He just pwned... what 10 guys all at once? DUGG DUGG DUGG!
- Acrinimiril, on 04/18/2009, -26/+466
"Who will govern the governors? There is only one force in the nation that can be depended upon to keep the government pure and the governors honest, and that is the people themselves. They alone, if well informed, are capable of preventing the corruption of power, and of restoring the nation to its rightful course if it should go astray. They alone are the safest depository of the ultimate powers of government"
- Thomas Jefferson

Border checkpoints deep inside the country do not do anything but waste our money.
Americans get stopped and searched, and the smugglers go around them. - Noxat, on 04/18/2009, -36/+406"I just want to go on my way." Apparently this is too much to ask for in today's America.
- qwikk, on 04/18/2009, -34/+381"peace officer"? gotta love double speak.
- henri3, on 04/18/2009, -34/+340If We dont stand up against this kind of treatment, it will only get worse. 4th amendment!!!!!!!
- Zantive, on 04/18/2009, -8/+254Damn that guys got balls. Make sure you start watching at 7:45 to hear the agent say that the guy has no rights at a checkpoint.
- theskillwithin, on 04/18/2009, -53/+272He makes valid points in this posted video. What he does in his personal life is not relevant unless its illegal.
- spancho, on 04/18/2009, -13/+212He does kind of seam like a dirt bag, but that doesnt change that they wanted to search his car for the sole reason that he said they couldnt.
- FUO213, on 04/18/2009, -8/+195here let me sum up the ENTIRE 30 mins of this video.
"you don't have probable cause"
"do you have a warrant"
"am I being detained"
"IV amndmt"
"I am a US citizen"
repeat as necessary - RiMac, on 04/18/2009, -41/+223The man was a dick from the start.
- GodWillJudgeU, on 04/18/2009, -21/+200These agents should be arrested for unlawful detainment of a US citizen with no probable cause.
- Chooxo, on 04/18/2009, -23/+184Argh, if I hear "am I being detained" or "are you detaining me" one more time, I'm going nuts.
- normlsparky, on 04/18/2009, -12/+170I am very close to that 100 mile mark of the border. I'll be checking up on the laws for myself. I'm not sure how they justify putting checkpoints 100 miles from the border when they can't even secure the border itself.
- DirtyBinLV, on 04/18/2009, -35/+176The dude is wrong on one point. Cops can search your car without a warrant. "Probable cause" is incredibly vague. I'm not saying it's right, but that's how it is.
- Acrinimiril, on 04/18/2009, -8/+145Miff, your "ol' trade-off between 'security and freedom'," is this;
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
- Benjamin Franklin
The smugglers know where all the checkpoints are. Do you think smugglers go through the checkpoints or around them? And, if the smugglers are avoiding the checkpoints, then who is getting stopped at checkpoints?
Americans! - Hobbes24, on 04/18/2009, -13/+148dude what the *****...i'm usually the first to defend the police in doing there job...
but WHAT THE *****
you CAN NOT search an american citizen's car without a warrant.
THIS IS NON-NEGOTIATEABLE, THIS IS WHAT OUR COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON...
what the ***** is this country coming too... - Benno, on 04/18/2009, -10/+143papers please
- WYendrys, on 04/18/2009, -10/+139I wonder if he wants to be on his way...
- cmp121cmp, on 04/18/2009, -9/+136Question: What do you suspect me of?
Answer: You are interfering in an investigation.
Circular arguments for the win. Investigate them for nothing, if they refuse, say you have cause because they refused to submit to your investigation. - Zantive, on 04/18/2009, -8/+129Just wondering... why did he refuse to show his driver's license? Aren't you required to do that?
I'm in no way siding with the Border Patrol agents, I'm just curious. - doctechnical, on 04/18/2009, -4/+118Guilty until proven innocent?
- Snakedal337, on 04/18/2009, -18/+129Even if he is antagonizing the police checkpoints, this stuff needs to get out there. It's ***** and I applaud the fellow for doing this.
Doesn't mean I agree with his stance on other subjects though. - ghostofreddit, on 04/18/2009, -25/+128His window is up, so they can't say they smelled booze or drugs. His doors are locked, yet they physically attempted to gain entry.
He complied with the stop order, identified himself as a US citizen and told them they could not search his car or person.
End of story.
Everything else is illegal restraint. - plagiats, on 04/18/2009, -3/+103buried for missing "I want to go on my way"
- Lawofnations, on 04/18/2009, -32/+131He was not "detained". He was arrested and incarcerated in his private means of conveyance on a public easement under color and pretense of law. The so-called police officers or agents or whatever these morons call themselves are required by law to have an Oath of Office to uphold the Constitution, a commercial crime bond, and liability insurance among other things. There isn't a single officer or agent whether federal, state or municipal that has these. Please bear this in mind when you take them to task for invading OUR country under force of arms and impersonating a peace officer.
BTW - I seized and sold a Sheriff's house for doing the exact same thing. I didn't talk as much as this guy but I was patient enough until two other guys appeared so I could nail them on racketeering charges, grand theft auto and conspiracy to kidnap. - shig, on 04/18/2009, -11/+97Looks like they've been protecting us from the illicit contents of Krispy Kreme delivery trucks.
You could stuff a dozen hot & fresh in those jowls. - DrNoDoze, on 04/18/2009, -11/+96People have to do this. Most won't but it has to be done.
- 1x253, on 04/18/2009, -5/+86
You still have to be able to prove at a Probable Cause hearing that Probable Cause existed. You can't just pull someone over for no reason.
Now, a cop could do the whole routine where you ask them why they've pulled you over and they respond,"Broken taillight."
"But officer, I don't have a broken taillight."
SMASH "NOW you do."
That or seat belt, but I once saw a judge dismiss every case on a docket from one cop because all his tickets were no seat belt tickets and everybody kept telling the judge,"He made it up." The judge humiliated and scolded the cop in front of everybody. It was awesome. - carter1955, on 04/18/2009, -32/+107One pig said to the other I am badder than you and the other pig said no you are not, yes I am I will show you by pulling over what I know to be a law abiding citizen and tell him that he is a terrorist and that I will be able to search his car for no reason what so ever, ok let me see this, here this one is perfect OH ***** he knows his constitutional rights I lose and will go play in the mud with my fellow pig's.
Yes this man knows his Constitution , do you ? - mythril, on 04/18/2009, -3/+77When was the last time the government justified any of it's actions?
- messiahb, on 04/18/2009, -2/+75Being a ***** is not probable cause.
- PovRayMan, on 04/18/2009, -8/+81The more tired you become the more willing you'll be to comply, citizen. Sorry, I mean subject.
- voisine, on 04/18/2009, -4/+76It was a road block. A "show me your papers please" suspicionless checkpoint. They stop everyone and make them submit to a department of homeland security obedience lesson.
- MrInfallible, on 04/18/2009, -17/+87It seems that the only way to protect you rights is to cary a video camera around with you everywhere you go.
- doctechnical, on 04/18/2009, -5/+74@Miff: You want to live securely? Become a citizen if North Korea.
There is NO trade-off between security and freedom. Freedom wins, every time. - vulpescry, on 04/18/2009, -18/+86I seriously wish Digg offered a key that would secretly come with every members account and would lockdown everything with flashing red light and sirens.
A little shoulder angel named Kevin would appear on my shoulder and say, "Don't do it Markus, DON'T DO IT!"
and I'd slyly reply, "Get the ***** out Kevin."
I'd grab the key from my pocket and shove it down the keyhole like a lot of bad porno's I've seen.
Once I insert the key and turn, a red button covered in a glass frame appears allowing me to digg this article twice. - robdazomba, on 04/18/2009, -8/+75Border patrol are known to mace people for any untoward behavior. The guy was smart to keep his window rolled up.
Besides, politeness isn't mandated by law. - flossdaily, on 04/18/2009, -7/+73Cops don't need a warrant to search your car while you're driving it. They hardly need anything, actually. You can be arrested and taken to jail for a busted tail light, if they want.
It's ridiculous.
In this case however, when the stop was mandatory, the very low bar of suspicion was required to fulfill the constitutional requirement of probable cause. Here the border patrol didn't even have that. - mythril, on 04/18/2009, -7/+71Annoying or not, he is right.
Being annoying doesn't remove your rights. - combo808, on 04/18/2009, -18/+79Retard thinking. Why does this guy have to be a Saint in order to stand up for his rights? I don't think he is a hero, but he has inspired many people to protect their dwindling rights as free people.
- Lavarock, on 04/18/2009, -18/+79It was good but a little annoying until the point where he wouldn't show his driver's license. You DO have to do that. *****, ruined it.
- theskillwithin, on 04/18/2009, -11/+71he had no reason to have suspicion, probable cause includes a variety of suspicions.
- NozE8, on 04/18/2009, -2/+59"Too bad the guy didn't prove his citizenship."
Papers please! - ZiGz, on 04/18/2009, -5/+62War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength
- rjshatz, on 04/18/2009, -5/+61Are you detaining me? Am I free to go on my way? Are you detaining me? Am I free to go on my way? Are you detaining me? Am I free to go on my way? Are you detaining me? Am I free to go on my way?
- DooM, on 04/18/2009, -1/+55Also, just found this video from the same guy with blood and stitches - this isn't something new for this guy and he has been tazed AND beaten at 'border checkpoints'. Crazy!
