- thenativeraver, on 04/25/2008, -4/+54Video or it didn't happen....
(I'm waiting patiently for the youtube link...)
;-) - SpaceMonkeyZero, on 04/25/2008, -31/+71The truthers are a strange mix of extreme far right, and extreme far left, and the mentally challenged amongst the anarchists that all have a common cause...
- Quadrophenic, on 04/25/2008, -8/+41I'm no expert, but that article stinks of untruths. Also, thumbs up to the guy who brought Hitler into the discussion. His name adds credibility to any argument...
- card51short, on 04/25/2008, -20/+51buried as inaccurate. No proof.
- Stryder81, on 04/25/2008, -8/+36Sorry but, where does it say 9/11 truther? Not only that but, nowhere in the article does it say 9/11 at all.
- Nitrodist88, on 04/25/2008, -14/+42"The next thing he knew, Talis was ********************allegedly******************* punching Maureen - a fan of the first lady since meeting her in 2004. "
Thanks, that's all I need to know. Buried for being boring... possibly inaccurate.... from the NYP........ and it being a stupid human interest story that has absolutely nothing to do with anything. - 2trkpony, on 04/25/2008, -36/+63All the milblogger spooks have is some scant NY Post column titled "BUSH BASHER SMASHES DISABLED TEEN: COPS", no witness testimony on Lovetro's behalf to corroborate, no hard evidence, no police report, no video proving this, no confirmed origin of the 'report', nothing to verify the allegation. Just "he said she said" rhetoric. Despite that Gary did not and has never lifted a hand toward any citizen, as confirmed by all witnesses. Of course, they all must be lying, right?
And here on Digg we see government apologist military deception- types immediately falling all over themselves to fold this newspaper hit piece smear campaign into their worldview. No skepticism, no "Hmm, maybe this sounds weird." "Could John Lovetro be exaggerating events in effort to be acquitted of assault charges?" or "let's wait & see what transpires with actual evidence and witness testimony before concluding judgment." Nope, just "Aha! here's proof "troofers' are scum of the earth!" "of course he's guilty he's a 'troofer!" "he should have been tased!" "this proves "truthers" are evil and should be locked up!"
Great Hitlerian logic for 1940's Nazi fascist gestapo Germany. "He is guilty because I oppose his worldview & hate truthers!" But this is America, not communist China, remember? Do the zionists here even know what America and the Constitution is all about? Do you understand the meaning of "freedom" and liberty? In the United States, a person is innocent until proven guilty and has a right to a fair trial by jury of their peers. Not a military tribunal. They aren't automatically guilty just because you hate what they stand for. Remember this. - defektiv, on 04/25/2008, -7/+33while i don't condone the alleged actions here, this is proof that digg is highly biased. something like this makes it and stays, something with one crazy person but depicted as if everyone that dislikes bush beats up handicapped people. meanwhile, stories that hold critical views of bush, 9/11 and the like disappear with little more than a vague explanation when pried for alluding to this idea that "we don't want to be portrayed as controversial"
we'll see how far your biased deletion of some stories and exalting behavior with others get you. one day this whole thing will fall out from under you and you'll wonder where all your subscribers went to.
heres a hint. almost everyone likes their viewpoint depicted, but the majority of sane and reasonable people despise it when you play these bias games. screw digg, i'm done with it. keep your frothing at the mouth and over-dramatic group of idiots that makes these things possible. pretty soon it will be nothing but you and them kevin. - forgiste, on 04/25/2008, -8/+34Okay, I believe that 9/11 has some secrecy to it, but this is just insanity. I've never been a "truther" myself, because I think most of what they call "truth" is *****. However, I don't think the government has been totally straight with us either.
- l0k0, on 04/25/2008, -19/+45First of all, Bill O'Reilly and Michele Malkin have absolutely nothing to do with this article. Secondly, I find it outrageous that you have come to the conclusion that a man pushed his own daughter, who is in a wheelchair with cerebral palsy at Gary. It makes absolutely no sense. Are you seriously suggesting he used his feeble daughter as some kind of weapon? I wasn't aware it was common practice to start a fight by pushing someone in a wheelchair at your opponent. Please do your research and apply some common sense for once. Seriously, your post is so idiotic its appalling.
- l0k0, on 04/25/2008, -54/+79Unbelievable. This guy assaults a young adult in a wheelchair with cerebral palsy, and then uses the event to claim that the father started the fight, and then has the audacity to claim "he did not defend himself or fight back," when in actuality, he was assaulting a completely defenseless girl in a wheelchair.

You would think a group of people who call themselves members of the "Truth Movement" would actually tell the truth once in a while, but it seems 6.5 years after 9/11 they are still repeating the same falsehoods everytime they open their mouths. - inactive, on 04/25/2008, -47/+71Yes because if it's printed in Murdoch's NY Post it MUST be true. LOL!!!!
- makeinstall, on 04/25/2008, -7/+31Using the word 'HANDICAPPED' to describe someone with cerebral palsy is pretty low considering the etymology of the word and the style in which the whole piece is written just has that bad taste of ***** journalism.
Considering the emotive reactionary response its got from peopel on here with right wing leanings, it would appear that the story did its job.
Personally, I would be inclined to dig a bit deeper into the story and look for the video that has been mentioned in previous posts. - luckyguy2000, on 04/25/2008, -8/+30propaganda news.
when ppl cant debunk an argument they usually try to debunk the person who said the argument. its a cheap psychological trick.
i dont say any conspiracy theory is right.maybe its all ***** and maybe they're all true, but this has nothing to do with it. - theblueprint, on 04/25/2008, -29/+48You're actually attempting to justify hitting a woman with cerebral palsy?
- refugeechris, on 04/25/2008, -4/+23err...
Cynthia McKinney 9/11 truther
http://youtube.com/results?search_query=Cynthia+Mc ...
ironic eh? you'll catch on eventually.... - ninjadeathcult, on 04/25/2008, -10/+27What reactionary comments! to such a rubbish story with no proof at all in the actual story. The current attacks on the truth movement seem to indicate people are trying hard to discredit the growing movement particularly the recent 'Announcement' that Iran is behind 911 conspiracy theories (thus implying that people with enough brains to establish that the official story was BS are terrorists) But then again many diggers believe everything they are told so sad
- xtraa, on 04/25/2008, -38/+55I buried this article for linking
- Truthers
and
- violence against a handicapped person together.
Obviously it doesn't matter WHO beats a handicapped girl. Ack? This is just a
cheap psychological trick to create a common view for whatever they are up to.
Also weather it was an inside job or not: I think Truthers are against violence,
because otherwise they wouldn't research in the violence that hapened at 9/11. - ViperDaimao, on 04/25/2008, -20/+37free speech? To verbally assault the first lady and her daughter? He was arguing with a secret service agent about how he was allowed to get closer to them for goodness sake.
the fact that the police arrested him for assault (and apparently released the father after taking down info/photograph) also fits with the NY Post story - inactive, on 04/25/2008, -10/+27Noone else there who had a video camera? You'd think that in a room with the first lady where someone suddenly beats up a handicapped girl surely someone present would have recorded that.
- ViperDaimao, on 04/25/2008, -5/+21The truther who assaulted girl was on the alex jones show today. He expressed the belief that it was a coordinated attack by the girls father to make them look bad.
- JJNova, on 04/25/2008, -9/+25What does this have to do with being a 9/11 Truther? Buried for sensationalism.
- YamiJim, on 04/25/2008, -8/+24the act of one extremist changes the truth exactly 0%, this is typical of people who can not defend their views with facts.
i have seen videos and information from both dies of the 9/11 debacle, and i;m sorry but if you think some sand ***** in a cave planned with other cave dwellers who flew planes into the sides of the most influential buildings in the most powerful country in the world without ANY of them being SHOT DOWN by US (one was brought down by the brave people on board)
then you are ***** daft.
doing get me started on building 7.
whatever, we're not special the same ***** is happening in england and those dumb ***** aren't doing ***** either. - ott6er01, on 04/25/2008, -29/+44I'm not from New York City or anything but the "Post" is far from a respectable news outlet. I did read the story and the reporter couldn't even get the accused man's name right! Also, have you not heard about the admitted billions of dollars that White House has spent on manipulating the media? Give what a rest? My only ax to grind is to get the truth out about this incident. So hit your "onetimer" again and stick your head in the sand.
- Gir53457, on 04/25/2008, -14/+29A conspiracy theorist assaulted a a handicapped girl with cerebral palsy because she told him to stop heckling the First Lady.
- SUPREMEO, on 04/25/2008, -3/+18You know 9/11 truth are winning the battle when newspapers have got to lie to tarnish these brave people. Here is a link to a video were witnesses describe what really happened.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlvMl6R3rJQ
NY Times could be in really big trouble if the WeAreChange guys want to go at them for slander. - FMWatkins, on 04/25/2008, -0/+14Well apparently the NY Post is facing a lawsuit.
http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/april2008/042 ...
..and interviewed about his arrest;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrNuAQwekuY - inactive, on 04/25/2008, -12/+26Just goes to show that the left-right spectrum is an outdated idea. I think the current division is between populists, whose priority is the well being of the common man, and the elitists, who serve the interests of a small group of billionaires and their families, the only ones benefitting from imperialism. Here's an example why the left-right paradigm just doesn't function anymore: I support Ron Paul but I support Mike Gravel and Cynthia McKinney as well. One's on the right, the other 2 on the left. I couldn't fit in anywhere in your left-right spectrum but I could fit in the populist-elitist spectrum.
- inactive, on 04/25/2008, -13/+27Okay. You're one, who are the others?
- inactive, on 04/25/2008, -7/+21This made it to the top of Digg?
You HAVE GOT to be kidding me.
Man, just yesterday a Boy Scout was escorting an old lady to the bus stop, but then decided to stab her instead. - card51short, on 04/25/2008, -24/+38any proof?
- macinit1138, on 04/25/2008, -8/+22So if an atheist was accused of doing this, would it serve as proof that god exists? lol At any rate, this a case of one thing has nothing to do with the other. Straw man arguments abound in these comments, and no this one person's deplorable actions do not automatically invalidate the Truther movement or any other movement where the basic and scientific right of questioning authority is discouraged or ridiculed. Nice try!
- brewbyer, on 04/25/2008, -0/+14This is what happens if you yell things at Bush's family. They don't even try to frame you in a plausible manner.
Yet some people are so brain damaged from twisting their minds into believing neo-conservative lies, they seem to actually believe a brave patriotic activist would assault a girl in a wheelchair. Yet you have a self proclaimed Bush supporter involved in the assault. When you have two people involved in an altercation, one who is fighting for goodness and truth verses one who is there to support ignorance and evil, why are so many inclined to believe the patriot is at fault? By witness account it was the slime-ridden neo-con pushed his wheel chaired daughter at the protester
Seriously, there is another war on terror, the real one. Be a part of it. - inactive, on 04/25/2008, -33/+46The NY Post has far more credibility than Prisonplanet.
- xXRUSHXx, on 04/25/2008, -11/+24There is no video of it now this is the best i could do. This NY post story is fishy.

Gary's Statement After His Release. Take a look at this video.

here is some more info
http://www.infowars.com/?p=1704 - l0k0, on 04/25/2008, -18/+31"Yes, he was arrested for assault, that doesn't mean that he is guilty."
Since when did truthers ever believe people were innocent until proven guilty? - JahRage, on 04/25/2008, -17/+30This is such *****. Do you people ACTUALLY believe that this man assaulted a crippled woman? Regardless of what you think about 9/11, these WEARECHANGE groups are fighting for all of our constitutional rights. The man in question here was actually the victim of an assault, and is now being made the perp? This was buried as INACCURATE!
- moogle516, on 04/25/2008, -1/+14Cause a title of " Bush Basher beats up Handicapped Girl" would never make it to the frontpage of digg
- rohcky, on 04/25/2008, -6/+18Buried for inaccuracies. She's part of the cover up... MANNN!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE WANT THE TRUTH!!!!11!! - pprovo1, on 04/25/2008, -18/+30THERE WE GO. Someone who thinks for himself. My exact thoughts too. I mean honestly...who in their right mind just hits a handicapped woman...This is all just a trick to put more of a bad rap on truthers.
- Betrayal, on 04/25/2008, -3/+15"9/11 Truther Beats up Handicapped Girl"
SUUUUUREEE
THIS IS UTTER RUBBISH! He would never had done that and didn't. This is a lie and should be burried as inaccurate!
It's put on to discredit the 9/11 truth movement. - radzack, on 12/02/2008, -13/+25Does it matter who he is associated with? The assualt alone is ***** up.
- MrFurious2k, on 04/25/2008, -1/+13Let me get this straight... you're arguing with her father and rather than fight another able bodied adult, you start whooping on the wheelchair bound girl? It sounds like an Onion article.
- inactive, on 04/25/2008, -27/+38Hmmm, but the only one arrested was? Yeah, go on with your "it's another conspiracy" *****. Always there is a video that will be released "later".
- inactive, on 04/25/2008, -5/+16That's the NY Post for you. The sad thing is, people buy into it.
- Bushlied, on 04/25/2008, -3/+14They provide this NY Time article is a farce. ***** the NY Times. How could you possibility read any of that garbage especially when they have that idiot Bill Krystol on their editing staff. ***** fools.
- jemman, on 04/25/2008, -8/+19Yeah, but this story does sound fishy, with a grown man hitting a girl in a wheelchair and the public not beating the crap out of him. I could believe it better if this guy was going around accosting and hitting other people before he got to the family, or has a history of assaulting people. But without more facts being released I think its best to withhold judgement, especially when coming from the NY Post.
- whereiseljefe, on 04/25/2008, -20/+31If only there was some grand conspiracy to get rid of them... that would be perfectly ironic.
- inactive, on 04/25/2008, -1/+12Wow, moving to smear tactics now. You cant deny the truth, call it whatever the ***** you want, its there. Whats more believable, the obvious truth or the garbage spewed by corporate media. ***** sheep
- inactive, on 04/25/2008, -13/+23The camera was "broken", but they are filming again right after the incident.
