- diskoh, on 05/18/2009, -4/+13Bad title. You can't round up a 4.7 to a 5.0, because of the enormity between them. With earthquakes, a 4.1 is twice as strong as a 4.0. a 4.2 is twice as strong as a 4.1. Each decimal doubles the strength of the previous.

However, from comments I've read from sources like facebook, people are freaking out like it was a very serious earthquake. I guess it's just the fact that the younger generation here hasn't experienced enough of them yet.

- rezivor, on 05/18/2009, -0/+3It's weird. It's sort of a swirling motion you can feel, not a side to side "shake". You feel the circular motion mostly if you're laying down when it happens. It's like your lying on top of a laundry dryer or something. It's interesting, especially when you are sleeping and that soft motion works it's way into your dream.
