I'm in the electronics business and almost any component we buy today is RoHS complians. Meaning it's free of any hazardous substances including lead and mercury.
We don't live in the industrial revolution anymore, advancing technology while respecting the environment is possible.
I've switched to canvas grocery bags, I actually prefer them now. - jackpot231, on 07/15/2009, -1/+9first ff, mj, and billy mays. Now this? WHAT IS GOING ON?????
- HyperJack, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6I agree with you on the paper bags and glass thing. We managed for years on glass bottles and paper bags. I thing we could easily go back to using them.

I dunno what it is about that place... - kd1s, on 07/15/2009, -1/+6You may have a point there. I was watching a TED talk and they were showing how much plastic is in the ocean, pieces down to 3mm or smaller too!
We need to stop dumping ***** in the oceans. I'm for a return to paper bags, to glass bottles, and to a non throw away society. - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -5/+9probably ate too many plastic bags.
- Wreckage, on 07/15/2009, -1/+5Your going to need a bigger boat....or shovel in this case.
They should try and blow it up like that old video of a dead whale and several 100 pounds of dynamite.
I hear they are already calling it a "New Jersey Air Freshener". - Falldog, on 07/15/2009, -1/+4How about you click the link and try reading?

Heard in the crowd: "Is anyone here a marine biologist?" - huskon88, on 07/15/2009, -1/+3"Scheider"
