I think they are probably just airtight storage bins, who knows or cares what the government intends to store in them, but I haven't seen evidence that they're being used for anything nefarious. I'm not defaulting to trusting the government, I'm just asking why you would automatically assume the absolute worst case scenario.
If you want to assume something corrupt, I would lean towards someone in the government being friends with this manufacturer and ordering way more than they needed at an absurd price. The government gets ripped off all the time from its suppliers. But I'm not convinced that's necessarily what's happening here anyway.

Am I the only one who sees the irony in ssn697 saying something like that? Are you still going to try and tell us there is nothing wrong with the economy? The U.S. dollar is fit as a fiddle? Now for those who are discussing this article i noticed from the casket company info also provided the company slogan is "serving those who serve". Id say that would imply they do allot of business with military and have probably had a steady demand in recent years.
