- ymirscorpse, on 10/12/2007, -4/+39The name "Swords of Islamic Righteousness" is SO Dungeons and Dragons sounding :P
- trghpy, on 10/12/2007, -9/+43Does anyone find this ironic since Al Qaeda uses the Internet to recruit and train terrorists?
As little as I like to see war, I'd love to see an Islamic extremests civil war. - guillermox, on 10/12/2007, -14/+48Yeah, but Eric Rudolph bombed an abortion clinic in 1996!
- jprater, on 10/12/2007, -7/+40these people are just ***** stupid. their religion has gotten too out of hand and is no longer in touch with sanity.
- barktwiggs, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26Seriously, how are they going to play a game of Counterstrike with all this bombing going on?
Terrorists win indeed! - Carlos1978, on 10/12/2007, -8/+29Are they bombing Internet cafes because the Internet is opressing muslims at Gaza?
- nixonrichard, on 10/12/2007, -11/+31"Does anyone find this ironic since Al Qaeda uses the Internet to recruit and train terrorists?"
No, because the whole reason Allah invented the Internet was to promote global Jihad. It's too bad it has been taken over by people who refuse to use this gift to kill infidels. Praise be to Allah and also his Prophet Muhammad. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+23trg, do you think that civil wars only kill "extremists?"
- greymaxcat, on 10/12/2007, -7/+22Mohamed hates the web?
- digitalsol, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16“Even they use the Internet to circulate their statements, but they think everyone else uses it for porno.”
The internet is for porn?
“My cafe has a good reputation,” he added. “I have a filter to block out porno.”
awww - Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Both of you relax. The root thread was not an argument to save the world. It was just a joke. Besides, you both sound like dumb asses.
- aaronkarp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13"these people are just ***** stupid. their religion has gotten too out of hand and is no longer in touch with sanity."
They bombed hotels and they bombed hospitals and they bombed schools but this time they bombed your precious internet and *now* their religion has gotten out of hand =)
Ok maybe I agree. Down with Jihad. Up with Digg! - venom8599, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15Note to self: Don't go to internet cafes in Gaza...
- jprater, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13this new movement shall be called "jihad 2.0"
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11There's a difference between bombing establishments because some people missed prayer for porn and expressing distaste in the form of a documentary. Yea Christians have bombed clinics, I know. We can play the numbers game or stop comparing apples and oranges. It's more appropriate to say Extremist Christianity is much like Extremist Islam.
- Justinsb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9@IroaChl That's not how religion works. The day after it ended there would be a split in the religion that won - over whether it was ok to eat animal cookies shaped like pigs (or some other significant theological point), tempers would flare and the shooting would start within the week
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13"establishments such as his were keeping Muslims away from prayer and providing pornography"
Puts a tear to my eye. Our so-called enemies are more like us than we think. - catalysis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Sorry, but the fact that Bush killed people doesn't justify bombing internet cafes, no matter how twisted your logic is.
- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7/me rolls 2d6
/me counts 11
** Chachie: saving throw fail
/me deals 11 damage to Chachie
** Chachie has died. - bacon_skoda, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Islam and Christianity came from the same place, worshiping the same god.
- idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7@nixonrichard
"...the whole reason Allah invented the Internet..."
Wait. AL GORE IS GOD?!?! - Shawnosaurus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8The shocking stat for me is that people in that region still go to internet cafes. I don't care how hot that girl in irc says she is, she's not worth the bombing. After about 12 cafe bombings I would find a new hobby. And I sure as hell wouldn't run an internet cafe.
- LavaHot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"Would you like to play a game?"
- Cymrubeats, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7luddites :|
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7No, us Koreans are good at killing ourselves with 48 hours straight of Lineage 2 and World of Warcraft.
- nullenigma, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The people still attending and running internet cafes are brave. The freedom the internet provides is more important to them than the fear they feel, and I tip my hat to them.
- Jimzip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@ null
Actually I think they're just trying to make money..
Jimzip :D - weeeeeeee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5does anyone else think that the fact that they used EMAIL to explain to the cafe owner why they targeted him and that the internet is bad is absolutely hilarious?
- Heracles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Seems more that they are afraid that people will be exposed to ideas other than those propagated by the extremists. Education is, after all, their biggest enemy and the reason why they so often target schools and teachers. God forbid that people start thinking for themselves and questioning the validity of extremist ideas.
- fuzzmeister, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5How many times does it have to be said that A) how Mohammad married was acceptable in his time and B) Extremist Muslim != Regular Muslim. I'm just as atheistic the average Digg member, but saying the prophet of over a billion people is a pedophile isn't getting us anywhere.
- erewhon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5The Palestinians are teetering on the brink of a civil war, this sort of violence is barely the tip of the iceberg. The rest of the world props up the unbelieveably corrupt and violent PA for what reason?
Let the Palestinians sink or swim on their own merits. The entire middle east is using them as proxy warriors, and if they are unable to break that dependency, the situation will never get any better. - grifmcrenolds, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7The tubes are an abomination that a guy who died in 632 A.D. would have found unnacceptable. In fact, he foresaw its invention by Al Gore last Tuesday in a vision (oh *****, time paradox) and called up these guys and said "We've gotta get ***** done about this!"
Seriously, this has nothing to do with the Internet being evil because it "distracts from prayer" or anything religious. The dictators giving these guys their marching orders hate the free exchange of ideas (lol, internet) because it could lead to their demise. Just like V says, ideas are bullet proof. You can't stop ideas, but you can blow up their means of conveyance.
And this isn't doesn't just apply to Middle Eastern dictatorships; there's also the Great Firewall of China and John McCain's Blog censorship bill. Governments don't like people badmouthing governments, period. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4From the article:
“This just shows how confused these fanatics are,” said Al-Shawa, 27. “Even they use the Internet to circulate their statements, but they think everyone else uses it for porno.”
If you want to protect the internet, stand tall Now! - jockser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3they dont want to advance. their leaders only wants total control over them,
they live like ***** over there and that what they to each other.
i just dont understand their reason. - foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Internet Cafes?
Obviously a war on a tiered internet!
We must support the Swords of Islamic Righteousness in their war against a tiered internet! - Tweekster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3shark attacks are pretty rare when compared to the sheer number of people that go swimming though.
yes it is a risk in some areas, but look at the number of people in the water - aramova, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Don't forget, it's why they call it a "Religion of Pieces" or is that peace, I forget...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4The Goracle says, don't mess with the Internet!
- Newlow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Koran doesn't teach to kill innocent people, that is correct.
It also teaches that people who do not believe in Koran actually are not people.
Clever, isn't it? - rshu4you, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3How about a nice game of Chess?
- Teaboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Somebody set up us the bomb

"Christian philosophy is more like radical Islamic fundamentalism than you realize. They are two sides of the same coin."
Yeah, just the other day the Baptists blew up three movie theaters for showing blasphemous movies about Christ. Whatever you're on, I don't want any. - IRoaChI, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Its about time all the jews, christians, muslims and atheist get together, have it out once and for all, then we can all go one living with whichever 'peaceful' religion wins
- h4mx0r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2World of Warcraft is taking people from their religion into... the religion of mmo gaming! O_o
- Justinsb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@Tweekster ah but this was different
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/1500318.stm
for awhile there were attacks daily (or at least a few a week) - the sharks were schooling and no one could figure out why because sharks don't do that, yet people kept jumping back in the water - addingyears, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@crymore says "The Koran does not teach the murder of innocent people."
Then why don't you tell us who falls, or doesn't fall, into the category of "innocent"? Islam and the Koran has a pretty narrow definition of innocent. Everyone else is fair game. - sysoprock, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3...and we thought the Koreans were bad!
- LavaHot, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4@trickydick
Does that mean that Al Gore is Allah incarnate, and that Allah wants his follows to kill infidels to prevent global warming? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Just ignore them. These kids don't care about terrorism, they're just a hate cult. Apparently brown is the new black.
- CJWright, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1For f*cks sake again with regurgitation of the ever expanding anti-Israel hate sites???
