-Jack Thompson - FreakyD, on 10/10/2007, -3/+45WoW!! that article left more questions unanswered than a presidential campaign.
- Backdrifts, on 10/10/2007, -4/+45Let me be the first to say WHAT THE *****
- jd33, on 10/10/2007, -1/+34"M-F-er's, I want some more iced tea."
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -1/+30Dude, not that this is an excuse, but did anyone think that a birthday party with 150 people for a 13-year-old might get out of hand?
- plethorex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+28Who the ***** does a drive-by on a birthday party?
- bullsfan03, on 10/10/2007, -3/+28"Edgerton says her daughter never wants to have another birthday party because of the incident." Not cool man!
- kooft, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24http://www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article ...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23Better question: Why the hell was a 13 year old's party going on until 12:00+ am?
- DteK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19The strippers hadn't shown up yet
- mythicflux, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17Maybe Jack can send some gay porn to the grieving families. I'm sure that will get the point across. In some way.... I hope?
- syroncoda, on 10/10/2007, -10/+26and nobody knows who did it and how it happened? brilliant investigating!
- CraigJ, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16the people who didn't get invited, obviously.
- ripstuntz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16Who shot who? Was it a stray bullet? I like how they give you all the information the story contains in the title... Real cool News Channel 25 Jacksonville, FL.
- quaxon, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17This is a random story that is somewhat related. When i was a little kid living in Iran, during the time that Iraq was bombing civilian targets in Iraq, me and my mom were getting ready to go to a birthday party for one of her co-workers kids and were running late. The place got bombed and about a dozen or so kids my age (4 at the time) and their parents (mostly mothers) were left dead. I'll never get the picture of showing up and seeing the persons house in rubble and the children and womens bodies out of my head.
- ericditmer, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17The picture of the cupcake looks an awful lot like a candle shoved in a butthole.
- joeyjojo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14In America, we commonly give guns as a traditional 13th birthday gift. RESPECT OUR TRADITIONS!
- saiyanate, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14I live in NC, and this is a real WTF because Asheville is widely known as a hippie haven and a relaxed, do-nothing-important sort of place. People in Asheville do things like argue over which independent farmer's organic heirloom tomatoes taste the best. If this story happened in Durham, it'd be just another day. In Smithfield, it would raise an eyebrow. But in Asheville -- that's just crazy.
- caederus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Based on the detailed article... Why is a Birthday party for a 13 year old still going on after midnight?
- RichStevenson, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11The reporter at the top of the page looks like Professor Klump!
- Vzylexy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Why was a 13-year old having a party at midnight?
- farkdog, on 05/20/2008, -3/+14They are where they always are - standing against CRIMINALS like the hoodlums who committed this drive-by shooting are.
This isn't about guns, it's about the damn "gangsta" culture.
http://www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article ... - BlackJackJester, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12a)why were there 17 year olds at a 13 year olds party?
b)why was there 150 people at the party?
c)why was it going on after midnight?
d)who the ***** brings a gun to a birthday party?
e)probably would have been worse if the gunman knew to not fire his gun sideways. - skyfire1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Time have changed. Pretty soon they'll be offering condoms in kindergarten.
- biggyfred, on 10/10/2007, -6/+15This is why I support the death penalty. Not for everyone, and certainly not as loosely as it's sometimes applied, but there's no place in this world for someone that would shoot up a kid's birthday party. You had your chance at life, you lose. Thank you, don't come again.
- quiznos, on 10/10/2007, -5/+13why the hell was there a gun at a 13 year old's birthday party?
- RedHerringHack, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8That article is almost completely information-free.
- acarr, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9the kids are trained well. Snitches get capped!
- mandarin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Wine mafias?
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Up there ^ I think the first comment, there was a link to a more detailed article.
- Goner, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6"(Today in Los Angeles another youth loses his life. Gunshot wound to
the head. Street violence is at an all time high)
No jokin' I'm sleepin' with my eyes open
Wanted for a homicide ride the gun's still smokin'
Didn't know what I was doin' but did it anyway
Now the posse's on my trail they say I'm gonna pay (Run!)
I had a gun it's mine and I packed it
Out with my crew the boys caught some static
Me and this sucker punk went at it
Bang! Nine automatic
Hunted Child
I'm the Hunted Child"
Ice-T - joeyjojo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Why do people on digg ask the same question 50 times in one thread?
- SiNN4R, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6They missed the pinata.
- Coffeedemon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Or 150 people milling around outside the house?
- EarlOfLade, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Reloading!
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I can see if it was a sleep over, but then the 150 people seems a bit excessive for a sleepover... Maybe I'm just old-fashioned.
- Szandor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4That's a damn long party.
- yfguitarist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5If you're a member of a gang, you should not be allowed to see the outside of a jail cell.
- 2000, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5"Snitches get stitches!"
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Sitting on digg in your parents' basement alone does not count as a party.
- gllopc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Did one of Britney's kids turn 13?
- orukabir, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5So what? Family members shot each other?...
- satx, on 10/10/2007, -8/+11*Who shot whom*
- potterboy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4This is digg, talking dirty is in the ToS, or it should be.
- oldhick, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Maybe you guys should get out more and see the rest of your town... Asheville has a healthy gang problem that has been growing worse and worse. But like any good hippies, everyone looks the other way and heads back to the parties in the "nice" part of town. http://www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article ...
Asheville's increase in violent crimes is almost 7 times the national average. Now back to burying your heads in the sand! - mandarin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Im pretty sure having a birthday party is the last thing you will think of when theres 3 people who got shot...
- btgoss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I am waiting for someone to say "it's a cultural thing."
- Tarnum, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Bill O'Really? Is that you?
