- kamikazicondon, on 06/11/2009, -0/+21Don't forget the ferocious pot smokers
- bunk3rk1ng, on 06/11/2009, -2/+16Is it true that he is going to convert all the inmates the radical Islam and kill us all?

"House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio labeled Tuesday's move "the first step in the Democrats' plan to import terrorists into America."
I think this man is actually retarded...importing terrorists? So it's better to completely disobey every moral that America was built upon regarding justice and turn a blind eye completely to any international law by torturing people in Gitmo than it is to "import" him to US soil? Yep, must be retarded. Oh, and he has absolutely zero confidence in the abilities of authorities to bring him back to the US and keep an eye on him here.
Douche.
EDIT: Ahh, that's why Boner was scared: "Ghailani walked into the courtroom without shackles or handcuffs". OMGWTF - Nboy514, on 06/11/2009, -2/+10Do humanity a service and delete your Digg account.
- lucy22, on 06/09/2009, -0/+8Looks mean. Has quite the rap sheet too.
" He began his terrorist career on a bicycle delivering bomb parts ". - inactive, on 06/11/2009, -1/+8Does digg allow you to delete your account.
- pingveno, on 06/11/2009, -1/+7What exactly happens to one of them if they were to get acquitted?
- twiztidsinz, on 06/11/2009, -0/+4Someone needs to look at a map of the world....
- TheTaoOfBill, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3You do realize that the middle east is just across the persian gulf from Africa right? And Al Qaeda has cells in African countries?
- Ebacherville, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3Wow now there giving them trials.. thats a change of pace.. how long has he been in the clink without a trial?
- leftofthecenter, on 06/11/2009, -2/+5OK, here's the thing...in a way, I think these guys deserve a trial, but can you imagine the kind of backlash that comes the first time one of them is acquitted? Racists all over the country won't believe a single person from Guantanamo might be innocent, and they'll go ***** if one of them gets off.
Its kind of like Saddam Hussein's trial. I was like "What is the f'ing point?" Noone is going to accept a not guilty verdict, so a fair trial is impossible. Just kill him and get it over with.
Trials that have only one possible outcome are what we call "theatre." - Crucible1001, on 06/11/2009, -3/+6youri, you are a douche. Delete your Digg account.
- Orsenfelt, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3Yeh that's how we should do it, just kill anyone who's trials out come might offend people.
If the proceedings were lawful and he was found innocent, he has the basic human right to go free. Killing him because their may be an outcry is barbaric. - 15thPD, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3Why don't you delete your face.
- appleofdischord, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3That would be (reefer) madness.
- ShellShock11, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2Dugg for American ideals making a recovery.
- marmotjmarmot, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2EVERYBODY PANIC!
- sdipaola, on 06/11/2009, -1/+3he is one of 5 who did the deed, all the other four were convicted and in the US prison system
it is all fear based bs - twiztidsinz, on 06/11/2009, -2/+4I'm glad 5urr3al5am thinks we should imprison "terrorist" without trial and without question.
5urr3al5am is a terrorist.
No questions.
No trial.
Just jail. - ethan406, on 06/11/2009, -2/+4Yeah, just kill any Arab-looking person you see, eh?
- inactive, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2You realize how ***** retarded you sound, right? Defendants are generally not hand-cuffed or shackled in court unless it's deemed necessary to restrain them. I can't believe I'm even taking the time to respond to you, because this is just absolutely moronic.
- leftofthecenter, on 06/12/2009, -0/+1These trials aren't about their rights, they are about us feeling better about ourselves. Enjoy your illusion.
- c0mputar, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1Regardless if it's theatre or not (in some ways Nerumberg was theatre for a lot of Nazi officers), what the system allows is for a sentence. We can't sentence people to jail without a trial, as far as I'm concerned everyone in Gitmo was going to be there indefinitely.
- inactive, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1What the *****, dude? He's a suspected terrorist, not a suspected supervillain. He doesn't have radioactive powers or anything. What the ***** could he possibly do?
- JergoR, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1The trails of shredded bags of cheetos will most likely lead us to the nest of elusive pot smokers.
poor poor cheetos - inactive, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1leftofthecenter.....Do you think anyone at Nuremberg expected to be acquitted?.
That wasn't really a "trial" either, was it... - pintomp3, on 06/11/2009, -2/+3He goes to the prison where we keep the innocent people.
/sadly not sarcasm. - ftc08, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1Stiffie has a good point. If we bring the terrorists onto American soil and try them like regular criminals they'll get off and be free to kill again.
...or more likely they'll get tossed in pound-me-in-the-ass prison in the shortest jury deliberation ever and get the ***** kicked out of them within seconds of being there. - llzackll, on 06/11/2009, -1/+1According to the Geneva Convention, he gets a Military Tribunal, not a trial in a U.S. court. Yes I am aware of status review, but didn't Obama say he was going to follow Geneva Convention?
- RagManX, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1Le sigh. Another commenter who doesn't know how supermax prisoners are held. 23 hours of solitary confinement, 1 hour of contact only with prison staff. No contact with other prisoners. How is he going to convert them? And if that were going to happen, why wouldn't it have already happened with the 4 cohorts of this guy who were already tried and sentenced and are now in US prisons?
- Orsenfelt, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1I'd imagine the 20+ highly trained CIA assassin's with high powered rifles watching his every move that we all know were there, are shackles enough.
I'm not saying he shouldn't be cuffed, but he's not going anywhere lol - Sluggz, on 06/11/2009, -1/+1After they throw him in a U.S. jail, he will convert other inmates to Islam, and tell them to spread Islam and jihad. Then those inmates are released, and now you have Jihadists on U.S. soil. They are a virus that spreads, we need to keep them out of this country.
- RagManX, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1It won't matter. Just his flying into US airspace has brought on the imminent collapse of the country. Expect death to us all within 48 hours. Pretty sure Rush and Beck told me so.
- inactive, on 06/11/2009, -0/+0macweirdo....Then you agree that criminals shouldn't be shackled or hand-cuffed in court?.
- Shaggy3, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1What if they mingle and the terrorists turn into ferocious pot smoking terrorists? =/
- gsnedders, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1Note, however much of a theater Nürnburg was, in the main trail, three (out of the twenty-four who were due to stand trail there (two did not: one committed suicide prior to the start, and another was only tried on charges in another trail)) were acquitted. In the further trails, 35 out of 185 were acquitted.
- 5urr3al5am, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1any person firing a gun at our soldiers in a war zone or planting a bomb or throwing a grenade .. tell me how many terrorists are there in Gitmo? millions right? how many? .. you two can both go eat sh!t because I never said this terrorist looks Arab (what ever you actually mean by that), this guy was black.
crazy loony-toon liberals.. I mean.. Internet Commies from Canada/China/Middle East - gsnedders, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1Not everyone under the Geneva Convention gets a military tribunal, from memory, only enemy combatants (and there's plenty of evidence to suggest large numbers are not enemy combatants).
- leftofthecenter, on 06/11/2009, -1/+1My point is that there could be no fair hearing. A truly fair trial is much more of a luxury than any miranda rights could be.
You show me a setting here in the USA where this guy could get a fair trial, and I'll show you the imaginare land of Ideologia. - inactive, on 06/11/2009, -0/+0Seriously?.
So many petty criminals have to be shackled in court, and they think this guy is safe?. - Zap2, on 06/11/2009, -1/+1so you are suggesting.....?
- pintomp3, on 06/11/2009, -2/+2We shouldn't suspend our justice system because of the racists. Even cases where the evidence is overwhelming should be given a fair hearing. Are you proposing we imprison or execute people without even having a trial? Is that what America stands for?
- kolinkoolface2, on 06/11/2009, -3/+3not in my backyard liberals. Hmmmmmmm
- inactive, on 06/11/2009, -3/+3"I've heard, for example, the argument that it should be military courts, and not federal judges, who should make decisions on these detainees. I actually agree with that."
-Obama - inactive, on 06/11/2009, -2/+0Wow, so I guess shackles aren't just for super-villains huh?.
Moron.
Seriously, if you're going to resort to childish name-calling, don't make retarded statements.
bye *****.I hope you die in a fire. -
