- brightlight4, on 06/23/2008, -24/+40NOW who says the Israelis are not behaving like the Nazi Germans but in reverse!!! This is disgusting and I hope that what they say is right that what goes round comes round!!!
- hotlatte, on 06/23/2008, -10/+13Tell you what. When Israeli's begin rounding up Palestinians and massacring them by the hundreds of thousands every month, gassing them and burning their bodies in ovens, then you can start calling Israeli's Nazis. Until then, shut your ignorant, inbred, KKK-ideological spewing mouth.
- CryRightardCry, on 06/23/2008, -7/+12Ah, right.
So because they haven't gone as far as the Nazis then ANY comparison is unfair?
That's pretty stupid.
So arson is ok, because it can't possibly be as bad as that REALLY big fire, right?
It's not a crime, because someone else once did something worse?
LOL
No wonder you rightard "Israel can do no wrong" morons keep making fools of yourselves. - pintomp3, on 06/23/2008, -4/+4you're right. it's not genocide. but it is apartheid. just ask desmond tutu:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2002/apr/29/commen ...- dkapuchino, on 06/23/2008, -5/+5Apartheid?
Apartheid is defined as "inhumane acts of a character similar to other crimes against humanity "committed in the context of an institutionalised regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime. " It lists such crimes as murder, enslavement, deprivation of physical liberty, forced relocation, sexual violence, and collective persecution.
Being that Arabs serve in the IDF, hold ranks in the Israeli police, there is an Arab Minister in government (In fact, just today he voted AGAINST dissolving the current Israeli government, the only minister from his party to do so), an Arab supreme court judge, Arab members of Knesset, I'd saying at the best, you are abusing the word "Apartheid". Commiting memoricide against the African apartheid, using it for your own political aspirations is ***** up and bigoted.

- mit7, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1I think we've been going and coming around for thousands of years... lets try something new for a change like stop.
It's really easy for you or me to let out our comments since we're on the sidelines but it does take alot of courage to do something about it by not doing anything, by either side.
- hotlatte, on 06/23/2008, -10/+13Tell you what. - yellowcakewalk, on 06/23/2008, -17/+48The Israeli Committee Against Housing Demolition describes themselves thus: ICAHD is a non-violent, direct-action group originally established to oppose and resist Israeli demolition of Palestinian houses in the Occupied Territories. As our activists gained direct knowledge of the brutalities of the Occupation, we expanded our resistance activities to other areas - land expropriation, settlement expansion, by-pass road construction, policies of "closure" and "separation," the wholesale uprooting of fruit and olive trees and more. The fierce repression of Palestinian efforts to "shake off" the Occupation following the latest Intifada has only added urgency to our efforts. As a direct-action group, ICAHD is comprised of members of many Israeli peace and human rights organizations. All of our work in the Occupied Territories is closely coordinated with local Palestinian organizations.
[ More power to you, Israeli peace and human rights activists! ]
http://yellowcakewalk.net/israeli_peace_movement.h ... - MarkEarhart, on 06/23/2008, -15/+40If we don't quit enabling them they'll destroy many more.
- redcolumbine, on 06/23/2008, -16/+30Opposing atrocities perpetrated by your own government and in your own name takes serious courage. I hope lots of people read this.
- moracity, on 06/23/2008, -23/+17So what? The day that Israel lays down its arms is the day it will be destroyed. Do you people not understand survival or understand that there are centuries of hatred of Jews by Arabs? It doesn't matter whether the creation of Israel was right or not. The fact is that it is there and it isn't going anywhere. It's a tiny little nation defending its right to exist. Not one of these "peace" or "human-rights" organizations would say a peep if Palenstinians invaded and murdered all the Jews in Israel. They are just mouthpieces for anti-semitism.
- Chassit, on 06/23/2008, -9/+10"It's a tiny little nation defending its right to exist."
It lost it's right to exist when it was destroyed. Additionally, murdering women and children is hardly defense.- Lucas123, on 06/23/2008, -4/+7Your argument is faulted. Does that mean if Israel destroys Palestine, they'll lose their right to exist too?
- Lucas123, on 06/23/2008, -4/+7Your argument is faulted. Does that mean if Israel destroys Palestine, they'll lose their right to exist too?
- swrostmore, on 06/23/2008, -5/+7Equating the cessation of illegal expansionism with total disarmament? Come on, that non-argument is totally transparent.
- CryRightardCry, on 06/23/2008, -6/+5Ladies and gentlemen, rightard babbling.
Thank you, he'll be here all week. - Carl306, on 06/23/2008, -6/+3"Do you people not understand survival or understand that there are centuries of hatred of Jews by Arabs?"
Destroying their homes is obviously only going to help to end those centuries worth of hatred...
Say what you will about some of the things the Arabs have done to the Israeli's, but the Israeli's have done equally worse, if not much worse, to them as well.
- Chassit, on 06/23/2008, -9/+10"It's a tiny little nation defending its right to exist."
- hotlatte, on 06/23/2008, -19/+13Again with the Israeli-bashing news. The third story in two days to be made popular about how horrible the Israelis are. Who's running this site David Duke?
- caramba420, on 06/23/2008, -3/+1The site is run by Israelis. It is not about "how horrible Israelis are." To say that would be the same as equating Bush's policies on Iraq with a character judgment of American citizens. The site shows how disgusting the policies of Israel's government (driven by the Likud) are.

- mrshickadance9, on 06/23/2008, -5/+7How about before (most of) you try to push your views on other people, you actually go to Israel and talk to BOTH SIDES about what is going on. It really helps put things in perspective. I'm Jewish, and I support Israel, but I (and most Jews i know) feel for the Palestinians.
Blame England.- gobbstopp, on 06/23/2008, -5/+2how about 'blame organized religion coupled with the refusal to ***** GET OVER ONESELF'
sounds about right.. - Wormfather, on 06/23/2008, -2/+2Oh yeah, blame England, because they were SO for turning that region into (geographically) what it is today.
/sarcasm - caramba420, on 06/23/2008, -2/+1You can't really blame England. The Zionist Movement (please note that I am using this term in its correct historical context) began long before even the division of the Ottoman Empire, when the UK was given mandate over the Palestinian territories. The people to blame are the Likud for their hard line policies.

- shakoorh, on 06/23/2008, -10/+6...It's probably more than 18,000, they probably destory 18,000 homes in one year alone.
- nblsavage, on 06/23/2008, -7/+10Anyone ever think about how well off Israel would be if they simply made peace with Palestine and embraced them? Think of all the wasted lives, resources and money.
- dkapuchino, on 06/23/2008, -3/+5Completely agree. Israelis long for peace. Just take a look at the Israeli declaration of independence. 60 years ago, before the Arabs started the 1948 war, Israel put it's arm out in peace. The response was a slap in the face.
But Israel DOES know how to make peace. It's done so with both Jordan and Egypt. Both used to be sworn enemies. Israel even had a peace agreement with the Palestinians, until they started acts of violence in 2000, after the visit of an Israeli politician to the Temple mount (A holy site to Muslims, but THE most holy site to Judaism). Now the question remains - Israel has made peace with both Egypt and Jordan. The land that the Palestinians claim actually used to be Jordanian and Egyptian land in 1967. Neither Egypt nor Jordan wanted it back. Can the Palestinians broker an agreement with Israel, or will they forever live by their sword(/Qassam rockets/Suicide Bombers)?- nblsavage, on 06/23/2008, -2/+3A valid and civil response. Thank you.

- dkapuchino, on 06/23/2008, -5/+3When we decide we no longer need strong allies, and would rather have our enemies completely destroy our allies.
When will you idiots understand, they don't hate us because of Israel, they hate Israel because it represents everything they hate about our liberal values and way of life.

- justice7, on 06/23/2008, -7/+9How about Hezbollah and co stop firing rockets into civilian towns; and maybe the the Israeli's might stop firing back at 'insurgent targets' which happen to be close to hospitals and schools.
I have no remorse for a group that uses women and children as shields. Israel has a right to exist; and so does Palestine. Stop the damn pissing contest already.- dkapuchino, on 06/23/2008, -2/+4They don't "happen" to be close to hospitals and schools, they are intentionally there. And no one calls them Insurgents. Insurgents are those that fight an opposing army. Hamas and Hezbollah fight against the Israeli civilian population.

- fadeout, on 06/23/2008, -8/+6How about a count of how many terrorist rockets have been fired at civilians?
They voted in Hamas, for crying out loud. No other first world country would have taken this much with so much grace and compassion. Russia, France, UK, China, America, etc would have firebombed every village to dust by now.- Wormfather, on 06/23/2008, -5/+3Oh yeah, because the Israelies would never resort to such tactics to get what they want. ;-)

I in no way believe in terroism, but it's time for Israel to stop acting like a victime with an olive branch. - caramba420, on 06/23/2008, -3/+0UK? I assume you've either never heard of Northern Ireland, or you have a strange idea of the meanings of the words "grace" and "compassion."
- fadeout, on 06/23/2008, -1/+2How many thousands of unguided terrorist rockets did Ireland fire at London?
- yellowcakewalk, on 06/24/2008, -2/+2Sorry, no sympathy until all of your settlements have been removed from the West Bank and Israel is back behind its 1967 borders. Out of the Golan Heights. Out of the Shebaa Farms. Israel's land theft makes Israel a pariah nation. It would be so easy for Israel to join the community of civilized nations: move back behind your 1967 borders. Do it soon, we are really really really tired of sending you our hard earned money.
- Wormfather, on 06/23/2008, -5/+3Oh yeah, because the Israelies would never resort to such tactics to get what they want. ;-)
- Wormfather, on 06/23/2008, -5/+6Israel should be shared. I'm lean more towards the right on my political views but the whole stand behind Israel no matter what they do is getting old. I'm still pissed about the way the whole Lebanon conflict was handled a few years back. "Go ahead, bomb a building with 1,000 families because 1 terrorist might be there, we're behind you."
Israel needs to get their act together and work with their neighbors, one day the West is going to become more concerned with their own problems and then Israel might have a big problem on their hand.- slvrbullet87, on 06/23/2008, -2/+2Would you work with people who tell you that the only reason god put them on this earth is to destroy you?
- Dumbledorito, on 06/23/2008, -2/+2The funny thing is, you could easily use that to describe both sides in this conflict. Both claim God gave them the land they're on and that God wants them to keep it.
That there's no oil under it is proof that God wasn't thinking ahead very much, but there you go.

- Dumbledorito, on 06/23/2008, -2/+1I've never understood the purpose of this policy, unless it's to clear more land for settlement by whatever the government decides is "the right sort of people." All it does is create more people with nothing to lose.
Hmmm... why does that sound familiar? I'm sure it'll extraordinarily redition itself to my mind if I work at it. Be back in guantanamoment...- caramba420, on 06/23/2008, -1/+0They need some liebenstraum...
