- XNihil0Zer0, on 02/04/2008, -50/+224To those of you who would say that the father keeping a gun caused this, you are wrong. It was the father not having a backup gun that caused this. You should always have a backup gun in an emergency, in case your first gun is stolen and used against you. If you are worried about your backup gun getting used against you as well, you should sleep with a handgrenade lodged in your ass with the pin sticking out for easy access, that way no one will get the drop on you.
- theanswer0611, on 02/04/2008, -14/+172did you catch the recipe for the brownies?
- Cajaks2, on 02/04/2008, -9/+142Uh i actually knew the kid, nick went to school with him talked to him not so long ago. Knew his little brother greg he was nice, his mom was really nice made good brownies. He was pretty nice a big kid, but didnt seem that weird or deranged just a normal sophomore. Knowing his father, the gun was probably locked up and not loaded, meaning he had to find the gun and load it then kill everyone. How weird i talked to him like a few weeks ago.
- HenvY, on 02/04/2008, -8/+108What absolute disdain I hold for that phrase, 'what is the world coming to?' Newsflash, there were a lot less murders per person in 2007 than there were in 1907. A lot less in 1907 than there were in 1807.
- georgemason01, on 02/04/2008, -2/+94"After the slayings, he threw the gun away in bushes near his house, police said."
Genius. - inactive, on 02/04/2008, -9/+87I don't give a crap if he WAS a good kid. The point is he ain't now, he's one ***** up mass murderer who should be trialled as one.
- anonymousT, on 02/04/2008, -1/+71wait until they find that he plays video games, then this'll be about something else
- inactive, on 02/04/2008, -34/+94How sad. What a mixed up kid to kill his entire family. What's this world coming to?
- noahhoward, on 02/04/2008, -4/+62Completely not the appropriate time but I couldn't suppress the laugh so you get the digg.
- inactive, on 02/04/2008, -6/+62He should have had the decency to at least finish off himself afterwards. That way he could rot in hell now instead of us taxpayers paying for his next few decades in prison first.
- Heracles, on 02/04/2008, -4/+57In that case, the boy would just have a gun in each hand. So you need a back up gun for the back up gun.
- inactive, on 02/04/2008, -51/+103Oh my God! This is so sad. What is the world coming to where a teenage boy uses a gun on his own family? In my day, if you wanted to murder your family you used a decent hunting knife so you could get in close and personal and give your loved ones the death they deserved. You could look your Dad in the eye as you stabbed him repeatedly, the maybe a few spots of blood would get on your face as you severed an artery in his neck. You'd really earn it.
Jesus, now I think about it - the whole thing was probably over so quickly, and with those gunshots ringing out, I bet the kid didn't even sit there to savour the sound of his younger siblings screaming over what he had just done to their parents. Seriously kids, if you are going to murder your family, for your sake and theirs, use a knife. It might be more work, but the rewards are there also, and there is nothing like a job well done. - bamafun, on 02/04/2008, -2/+47what amazes me is that he went and spent the night with friends and came home a day or so later and acted like he had just found them. It's sad that he could do it in the first place but to do it in such a cold calculated uncaring manner??? and why the whole entire family??
- whatthefu, on 02/04/2008, -4/+49What is the world coming to? I DON'T KNOW MAN I guess one kid snapping signifies the end!
- QuickeningYak, on 02/04/2008, -6/+48Oh dear god, that's a world-class bait-and-switch setup. D.U.G.G.
- knde, on 02/04/2008, -6/+44This is terrible. What would drive a young boy to do such a thing? As inhumane a person as most will imagine him to be, I can't help but think of the pain and regret he will come to feel. I feel sad for him, his deceased family and their family and friends.
- XNihil0Zer0, on 02/04/2008, -1/+36That's what the hand grenade in the ass is for... duh.
- inactive, on 02/04/2008, -5/+40He was joking, you whore.
- ChaosProfessor, on 02/04/2008, -4/+38the secret ingredient is cocaine
- 3tcp, on 02/04/2008, -10/+40It makes you wonder what kind of video games this kid was playing. His mind had to have been digitally manipulated and twisted in some unnatural and perverse manner if he didn't have at least a little bit of training with a melee weapon. You always run faster with a knife and any half-way decent game uses them. This whole thing may simply be the inevitable result of parents not providing their children, full of normal teenage homicidal energy, with the proper outlet for those feelings.
The government really should step in and make sure that people fulfill their parental responsibilities. - 3tcp, on 02/04/2008, -2/+28What, are you looking for a reasonable explanation? The kid was obviously ***** in the head. Later when the courts deal with him we'll probably find out that he was schizo and some voice in his head had been telling him to do it for weeks and he was convinced that there was some kind of threat that prevented him from telling anyone.
- NaziHatinChimp, on 02/04/2008, -3/+29Patriot's fan
- daskatzsocrates, on 02/04/2008, -0/+24why? does he also teach German porn making?
- zeno60, on 02/04/2008, -2/+26Such hostility against another opinion, tsk tsk...what is this world coming to?
- InfinitySnatch, on 02/04/2008, -0/+22For trying to play it off like someone else did it, he did an amazingly ***** job.
- inactive, on 02/04/2008, -8/+29Well people hate it when I point this out, but it takes a considerable amount of abuse to allow the human brain to be able to do something like this. Nobody just suddenly becomes a murderer. Psychosis without abuse usually results in schizophrenia and the death impulse is directed at the psychopath himself. He wants to die, not kill.
With abuse, he directs his death impulse to the people he hates. It's like those kids who did the school shootings (pick one) always bullied, left out and abused either physically or verbally.
I'm certainly not saying the entire family somehow deserved what happened to them, but everything always has a cause, nobody just "snaps" out of the blue into a homocidal rage, esescially when the targets are parents and sibblings.
This was probably years in the making until it finally errupted. - Sparkster185, on 02/04/2008, -0/+20You need 5 kills for an Airstrike.
- Lyavain, on 02/04/2008, -3/+23Because the internet is serious business.
Seriously, if you're looking for people to sympathize with you shouldn't be looking on Digg. - Autofac, on 02/04/2008, -3/+23As sad as this is, that is a terribly written article.
If I handed something like that in to my Reporting prof. he'd poop on it. - bjs3171, on 02/04/2008, -3/+22normally, this would be the type of situation where I'd say try him as an adult, there's no way at age 15, that he doesn't know right from wrong. but for a kid to kill his entire family, including his siblings, there must be something deeply deeply wrong in his head.
- akent22, on 02/04/2008, -1/+20I just thought it was weird that this all happened minutes from where I grew up. I can't imagine having known the family. How sad and strange.
- Conwaysb0718, on 02/04/2008, -3/+21Did you just call everybody morans?
- Rev0lver, on 02/04/2008, -0/+18Awesome, now I get to digg you down for that retarded comment twice!
- dyreschlock, on 02/04/2008, -2/+20video games..! :shakes fist:
- pizzler, on 02/04/2008, -8/+24What the ***** is wrong with kids these days......Did the kid think after his parents were killed he wouldn't have a curfew anymore or something?! Not to bag on the dead parents but I'm sure somehow this was their fault, they went wrong somewhere along the lines with this kid.......
- noahhoward, on 02/04/2008, -0/+15This is a textbook case of over-exposure to Super Smash Brothers Melee. Everyone knows when you're facing multiple opponents you have to bust a crate and grab the gun to fend them off and toss them over the edge. When will the ratings warn us about this hidden violence?
- heyphyuckyou, on 02/04/2008, -14/+29Be safe getting off that high-horse, wouldn't want you to break anything.
- AriaStar, on 02/04/2008, -1/+16The younger kids shouldn't have died either, you know.
- DarkPrince11, on 02/04/2008, -1/+16Somebody''s sarcasm detector is broken
- Asianwaste, on 02/04/2008, -0/+14Probably the same places it's been in the last 5000+ years. We just have air conditioning now.
- bxblox, on 02/04/2008, -1/+15Maybe hes a sociopath and no one knows it yet, so he'll have no remorse.
- Sohosoutherner, on 02/04/2008, -1/+15Yeah, it's not like mass homicide is something new to the 21st century.
- TikiGawd, on 02/04/2008, -0/+14A pistol by the bedside.
A shotgun for the door.
A rifle for reaching out.
You don't need any more. - Gryffydd, on 02/04/2008, -5/+18Yeah, he would have portrayed his anger with a kitchen knife, or a baseball bat or a pipe bomb or any number of other sharp or blunt instruments. Not saying the gun didn't make it easier, but if you're crazy enough to kill your entire family, you're crazy enough to kill your entire family. Having access to slightly better tools doesn't suddenly cause you to become a murderer.
- cyranthus, on 02/04/2008, -5/+18hooray! now all we need is some house fires, rapes, and robberies and it will be a good day in news!
- radink360, on 02/04/2008, -4/+17Looking at the picture in the article, they had some money. That is a huge house in a very expensive area. He was probably a spoiled rich kid who wasn't getting his way.
- iPissExcellence, on 02/04/2008, -0/+12http://www.puffun.com/puzzles/puzzle22.php
DogWithHiv, this puzzle is for you. I think you'll do good on this one. - radink360, on 02/04/2008, -0/+12I was going to post the same things. I guarantee that this is going to get blamed on video games.
- Sherman901, on 02/04/2008, -1/+11well... he's only 15. maybe he'll get it right next time.
- grodrigu, on 02/04/2008, -1/+11Running Riot.

What is Digg?
