- Sell, on 10/12/2007, -5/+123The sight of the devestation still makes me shake my head and say "Wow".
- Bobski, on 10/12/2007, -3/+111***** DATE!!!
I thought something was fishy about those photos - far too much cleared debris and too little smoke for only the second day after the event, so I did an easy check.
Every photo on that page still contains its EXIF information. These photos were taken on the Twentieth. - cheztir, on 10/12/2007, -2/+57and the amazing thing was they were finding some too.
- othersomethings, on 10/12/2007, -9/+62They were still looking for people at that point. Survivors... My GOD.
- Darmichar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+50I've always heard people talk about remembering exactly where they were the day JFK was assassinated, and never understood why they could remember that. It's only now, nearly 5 years later, that I can sit at my desk and view these pictures and vividly remember watching the second plane fly into the tower. It's almost like I watched it happen only yesterday. That is a memory that will be steeled into my brain for as long as I live.
- BlindIrishman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+47Only 20 people were pulled alive from the debris after the towers' collapse. Its amazing, the towers where 110 stories tall, and they managed to survive.

Oh, and the guy needs a polarising filter for his camera. - p1mpjuice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+44http://www.duggmirror.com/world_news/09_13_2001_Only_close_ups_ever_taken_of_the_World_Trade_Center_Site/
- DougieD, on 10/12/2007, -21/+62A question commonly asked by people who use a little intuition. The official explanation is that a fire broke out in the building and ignited a gas line, bringing down the building. Of course, there is quite a bit of evidence on the contrary... but don't you dare consider questioning the official story, you crazy conspiracy theorist un-american terrorist!
- antron, on 10/12/2007, -36/+75Yeah, sure looks like a "controlled implosion" to me...
- HydroWizard, on 10/12/2007, -4/+43These photos really give a sense of how epic the destruction was.
- synaesthesia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+32Its also something you and every other American across the world have in common. Pretty mindboggling to consider that all of us (and most of the rest of the world) were all watching the same events unfold at the exact same time, most of us feeling the exact same sense of horror and disbelief.
- fishbert, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33Profit-a-licious!

The more you know... the more f'ed up the whole thing appears. Personally I give more credence to the firefighters on the scene then the administrations "official story". Or to those that blindly follow official stories and call others morons for not following like sheep.
Fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again. -Bush - ayeroxor, on 10/12/2007, -13/+32and all that gorgeous good will from such a kind world. Before we made them regret it by pretending Saddam had something to do with it while everyone knew that was a lie :(
- idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -7/+25Yeah, yeah. Not a skyscraper. You ever been 47 stories up? It's higher than you think.
- leobaby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17In the address bar of your browser, replace the word digg.com with duggmirror.com
its that easy. - Chompy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17I was driving to work, I thought it was some kind of stupid joke the radio station was playing.. one that the other radio stations were in on. That seems stupid now, but I really couldn't imagine that it was true. Didn't even enter my mind to take it seriously. It didn't sink in until I got to work and saw everyone crowded into a conference room around a TV.
- Valhalla, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18There is something just weird about the original link and 9/11 photos.
But seeming the pictures of the damage never fails to make me shudder. - robbyt, on 10/12/2007, -13/+28Don't be so naive. 9/11 truth seekers have nothing to do about Republicans vs democrats. it has everything to do with lies, control, and groups of rich people who make decisions behind closed doors.

- vostok4, on 10/12/2007, -23/+38Thank you for submitting this.
We will never forget. - kloidster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16I think the most heart wrenching aspect of those photos is the thought that there are dead people under all that rubble...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+25How the hell the WTC 7 ever go down when it was so far away and the building between WTC7 and WTC2 and 1 did not go down..

1.) These images of the aftermath of Sept. 11th, 2001, or
2.) Knowing that the OFFICIAL STORY is *****
I'm not going to rant about various CONSPIRACY POSSIBILITIES but there is just way too damn much wrong with the official story for any SANE and INTELLIGENT person to TAKE IT LYING DOWN. - misscali, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13The photos were good and everything but I definately didnt get the feelling that they were groundbreaking, limited coverage w/e you want to call it. Didn't surprise me that apparently they're from the 20th and not the 13th
- Jugalator, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17"You mock the memory of those hero's"
What?! *If* you are a conspiracy theorist thinking this was a Bush administration thing, then tell me where in the hell they're mocking the memory of those heroes? Just because you believe the *cause* was different doesn't mean you necessarily think the *rescue* work and aid was wrong or worthy of mocking somehow. Heck, the disaster would still be exactly as big, the rescue work exactly as important, and the courage necessary exactly as notable. Jeez, what an idiotic attack. - Cl1mh4224rd, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19fahrenheitlf wrote: "Personally I give more credence to the firefighters on the scene then the administrations "official story"."
Oh, good...
http://www.firehouse.com/terrorist/911/magazine/gz/hayden.html
Hayden: By now, this is going on into the afternoon, and we were concerned about additional collapse, not only of the Marriott, because there was a good portion of the Marriott still standing, but also we were pretty sure that 7 World Trade Center would collapse. Early on, we saw a bulge in the southwest corner between floors 10 and 13, and we had put a transit on that and we were pretty sure she was going to collapse. You actually could see there was a visible bulge, it ran up about three floors. It came down about 5 o'clock in the afternoon, but by about 2 o'clock in the afternoon we realized this thing was going to collapse.
Firehouse: Was there heavy fire in there right away?
Hayden: No, not right away, and thats probably why it stood for so long because it took a while for that fire to develop. It was a heavy body of fire in there and then we didnt make any attempt to fight it. That was just one of those wars we were just going to lose. We were concerned about the collapse of a 47-story building there. We were worried about additional collapse there of what was remaining standing of the towers and the Marriott, so we started pulling the people back after a couple of hours of surface removal and searches along the surface of the debris. We started to pull guys back because we were concerned for their safety.
http://www.firehouse.com/terrorist/911/magazine/gz/boyle.html
Boyle: So we go there and on the north and east side of 7 it didn't look like there was any damage at all, but then you looked on the south side of 7 there had to be a hole 20 stories tall in the building, with fire on several floors. Debris was falling down on the building and it didn't look good.

I'm sorry, but there really isn't anything suspicious about the WTC7 collapse. Why didn't buildings like WTC5 and WTC6 collapse eventhough they suffered significantly more damage? Because they're also a lot smaller ("stouter", if you will) at less than 10 stories tall each (or thereabouts).
I know that isn't "sexy", but it's the truth.
Parting questions for all the folks who think "something's up": Why aren't there any structural engineers, in any country, that agree with you? Why do people who know what they're talking about have no problem with how the building fell that day? And why do you think your "intuition" trumps their experience? - Livewire, on 10/12/2007, -11/+24heysuburbia, no it wouldn't. Powdered concrete is sure evidence of bombs; try dropping slabs of concrete from 1,000 feet up, you'll get huge chunks and at the finest you might get a minute amount of course sand, not powder.
- zenothestoic, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16and lame
- entorix, on 10/12/2007, -11/+23Er... Think you're mistaken. WTC 7 wasn't a "super-sky-scraper." It was only 47 stories tall.
- Millan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12For a period of time it seemed like the America was a better place after 911, but soon people forgot what had happened and started treating people the way they had always in the past.
- brianjameskirk, on 10/12/2007, -16/+27Way to compare apples to cement-founded-steel-bodied-super-sky-scrapers.
- fiv3isaliv3, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Not sure how accurate the title is. My father was at ground zero and took some photographs . I'm sure many others did as well...
Here is 4 of about 60 or 70 photographs he took...

I mean, I swear there used to be buildings there. Big ones, too -- not the kind that one would just lose in the couch cushions. - Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10For the sake of memory... my family took this photo when we visited NYC in 1999...
http://zippo.homeip.net/gallery/9.11(photo).jpg - twinklyJesus, on 10/12/2007, -7/+17@pseudojd :
That's just plain BS. No one ever said they didn't know it was going to happen. Of course they knew!
General Billy Mitchell (the B25 Mitchell bomber was named after..) told them in 1929, giving specific location and probable times for the attack. They fired him, because they thought he was a threat to diplomatic relations with Japan.
We were attacked at Pearl Harbor because the politicians and military leaders of the day didn't believe it could be done. Just like they didn't believe that a single aircraft armed with a couple of bombs could sink a battleship, until Mitchell showed them.
It was no conspiracy. It was poor planning and outdated thinking. - bitcloud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10We have a similar saying in Australia - "Lest we forget"
and it is about not forgetting the sacrifices our soldiers made in WW2 for peace...
I hope your "not forgetting" is "not forgetting the good men you lost that day" & "not forgetting to move forward peacefully for all mankind" - ayeroxor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10What blows my mind is exactly how many Americans don't even know that "freedom of speech" simply means the government can't control your expression. Do you see the government here stifling expression? Hmm... no? Twit.
- leobaby, on 10/12/2007, -6/+15Not asking these questions mocks the memory of those people.
- ayeroxor, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11I'll close today with a quote from Theodore Roosevelt:
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." - tsinbad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8All photos (except for street level) are taken from the Bankers Trust building (130 Liberty Street). This was the black building that was still standing but there was a good deal of debate as to whether it should be taken down or not.
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8dracolich brings up an interesting point.
The data in the first image says it was taken at 20:02, yet the sun set at 18:56 in New York City on 9/20/01. - EBone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Wow. Just took look at them, all the sadness comes rushing back.
Just wow. - civicex2g, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7always gives me goosebumps looking at these
- maigarette, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8judging by the pictures it does not apear that this pictures are from september 13th , it has to be more like a week after as the wrkers already have paths to move trucks and eqipment cleared and the have the big crane in place wich took some time to bring in and position in place. the smoking wrekage didnt stop smoking until the second week.
- techiedavid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7The 13th date is faked for some reason. The real date is 9/20/2001.
If you download one of the pictures and check out the EXIF properties you'll see that date. And the crane wasn't onsite two days after the collapse. - Bobski, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Awe does not always mean a good thing. The feeling of dread can be a part of feeling awe.
- pseudojd, on 10/12/2007, -9/+15they just declassified that we knew about Pearl Harbor and we let it happen. It is not an impossible scenario. If it is Ever found out we knew about this it would the the single craziest thing ever ( it is allready...) and heads would roll.
