Fans Toss 20k Teddy Bears Onto Ice in Portland watch!

breitbart.tv — Portland Winter Hawks fans threw what was reportedly a world record 20,372 stuffed animals on the ice after what they thought was their team's first goal of the season -- a goal which officials later disallowed.

    Last year some bank had donated 1 bear per seat (and they didn't score till overtime). This year there were 2 bears per seat.

    But that is still really cool and for a great cause. :)

      However, why was the goal disallowed. It looks like the shooter hit and budged the net with his follow threw... I am betting that is why.

However, if the puck was across the line before it was dislodged then it shouldn't have been disallowed. The guy that got the assist looks like his foot was in the crease, but I highly doubt they would disallow it over that since he wasn't interfering in any way.

      And I don't think everyone has the strength to throw a teddy bear from the nosebleeds to the ice, so there was probably a lot of rethrows.
