Video of Chinese Soldiers Shooting Tibetan Pilgrims watch!
youtube.com — Please help spread the word! Cameraman in the Himalayan Mountains went to film the pilgrimage and returned with a much more gruesome story than he had anticipated. Sadly, these Human Rights violations are more than commonplace for the Chinese government, but are rarely televised.

- toonworld, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Rarely televised, yes. Caught on camera but then seized by the Chinese authorities, happens often. China has been occupying Tibet for what, almost 100 years now? Tibetans have been oppressed since that time... even earlier actually. Check it out on wikipedia and you'll be amazed at how many different governments have meddled or taken an interest in Tibet
- imcompa, on 10/12/2007, -21/+1That's because no one cares.
- drewpost, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21Seriosuly.... why did they get the Olympics?
- Xageroth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This is unbelievable. I've heard about this before but seeing it definitely makes an impression.. they are so calm about it. like another day at the office.. horrible..
- ewap8, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Indeed, the most gruesome fact is that most of the visitors here are from China, who will definitely digg this story down, so fewer folks will hear about it. Please digg this up, let the world know what these crazy communists are getting away with.
- Anonymous99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@ ewap...
WTF?! How in the WORLD can you make that conclusion? First and most importantly, I'm pretty sure that the Chineese government would make this video disappear as soon as it's found. Second of all, I'm pretty sure that anyone seeing this kind of thing in any country by any government would want to publicize it. What evidence do you have that the Chineese like their government?
^^Sorry if my lack of history knowledge comes through in that post, but ewap's post was horrible and I definately can't understand why ANYONE would digg him up. - coldstatue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Everyone should see the Scorsese film, Kundun at some time.
- DuconLajoie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14An other example of atrocities commited by the Chinese government . But unfortunately our leaders seem to accept this situation for economical reasons.....
- betacmag4u, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9If Walmart were a country it would be China's 6th largest trading partner.
- DyDx, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5It is an unfortunate result of our capitalistic society. China is too huge of an economic power to impose any serious sanctions on -- we need them as much as they need us, economically.
That's not to say I agree with this -- in fact, I tend to think capitalism is nothing but greedy and unnecessary and that there has to be a better system -- but it's what we live by, for now. - cezar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Even without capitalism, we would still probably get the majority of our socialized goods from the Chinese because they produce the most. Either way, China is still powerful, no matter what system.
- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -29/+3Look, I'm really sorry all this is happening and I would do something(i think) if I could, but do we need to see this on Digg? And a video, is that necessary?
- nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13yep. and it's been on here before too.
- cooldudevamsee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Yes, I strongly think necessary.
- gstringjihad, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3yeah, why do we have to have unpleasant things intrude on our lives. can't it just happen somewhere else so we can talk about ipods and zunes in peace?
- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Ok...I guess the voice of Digg has spoken, and I am incorrect...
- Ray_Justice, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@ gstringjihad
If thats all you want to read about on digg then don't browse beyond the technology section. - matrixbandit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@D3koy:
If the digg community as a whole didn't want to see it, you probably would never have came across it to begin with. So to answer your question: Yes, it does need to be on digg. Why? Because that is what the digg community wants. - matrixbandit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Ray_Justice:
I think you need to RMA your sarcasm detector, because it is most certainly broken.

China absolutely sucks.- cooldudevamsee, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15China leadership sucks not china.
- microview, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19China doesn't suck. The Chinese people are not what you see in this video. I work with Chinese, I date Chinese. I love the culture and the way they think. They can't help what their government does to others no more then we can help what is happening in Iraq. If anyone should be ashamed of human rights violations lets look in our own backyard and closets before we point fingers at other countries.
- donjaime, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4The Chinese government sucks. They acknowledge that capitalism is the way to go economically, but yet they hang on to their oppressive communist government. It disgusts me. I'm half chinese and I am glad I wasn't born into a country like China that carries such little regard for human life and human rights. And it's not like the chinese people are at fault. They can't do anything about it since the military has them under such strict control. With China rising to such a powerful position in the world, it would suite humanity as a whole to deal with the blatant lack of respect for human rights that China exhibits. Too bad no country has taken it upon themselves to do this.
- naisanza, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3If you think China's bad, then you havent seen Taiwan yet.
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I meant the country. Its locked down and it would suck to live there.
- nonggoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Dugg... because this is seriously ***** up.
- MonkeyFarts, on 10/12/2007, -10/+7Sickening. And to think that every time you purchase a Chinese-made product, every time you shop at Wal-Mart for those lovely "low prices," this is the kind of thing that you are endorsing. And nobody seems to care.
- benguild, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Why am I endorsing killing people if I buy a product made in China? That makes no sense at all. This does not speak for the whole of China. This is their government pulling this crap. I could say whenever I buy an American made product I am endorsing the war in Iraq, and all the ***** ups they have made over there.
- MonkeyFarts, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2And do you think that you are not giving money to China's government when you purchase Chinese products? Every time you purchase a Chinese product, some of that money goes to the Chinese government. And they use that money, for example, to fund their military, which pulls crap like this. By purchasing Chinese goods, you are endorsing this exact thing.
- TritonX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Trying not to buy chineese is almost impossible, most parts for stuff that are said to come from Canada and US are imported from china and they are allowed to say it comes from Canada or US when they assemble it here.
- spoonard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why does this surprise anyone? Perhaps you forget what kind of a world we live in...
- mkyb14, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0imcompa: Your a jackass for your comment. Think before you open your mouth.
- betacmag4u, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hopefully one day they will have a 2nd Amendment and an armed populace like in the US.
- Clearz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nice try at a troll there ;-)
- ionbattle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think everyone needs to digg this story, this is an atrocity.
- jiyocricket, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5China is a bigger threat to the US then Cuba was or Venezula is. The leadership is absolutely brutal. I for one will stop buying goods from Walmart or made in china. I cannot endorse this brutality

- Aquashark, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1this is so god damn old
it was aired on Romanian ProTV television almost 6 months ago and shortly after on international tv stations - diggless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2lets all go shop at walmart so that more US dollars can go over to china. (sarcasm)
- pixelbasic, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Some how this has to be all Bush's fault, right? I just know it has to be. Come on someone out there trace this back to him. After all, he is the most EVIL president EVAR! Right?
- Highen, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1chinese people don't have souls
- RojoKayako, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Any time someone says "Socialism is a good idea". I want them to remember that video. It is the idea of Socialism made real - that you life is not your own...it belongs to the state.
100,000,000 killed by Socialism in the 20th century. - meson2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Inhuman :(
- Woofcat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Jesus ***** Christ.
The Pilgrims are crossing Chinese land with out being allowed on. So America who sits so high and mighty on the judges platform. If a few hundred Mexicans started walking across your land, not going through customs to walk to Canada. Would you just sit there and let them? No your huge fence and the National Guard patrolling it is proof.
Don't think you are too different, because you aren't. If you are invaded you scream for blood.- meson2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@Woofcat.
Dude! Get some context here. These pilgrims are being shot at because they are LEAVING the chinese control to get into India. If anything India should have a problem not the chinese. Your analogy with the US doesn't apply. - Livewired, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why would Mexicans want to go to Canada?
- SilentSpyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Even if your comparison was correct I'm sure our border patrol would just go upto them and arrest them, not snipe them.
- meson2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@Woofcat.
- andergriff, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This video will get nowhere. It's so much more important for us to protect Israel, don't you know? Tibet? Where's that? If it ain't in the Bible, you can't get Johnny Baptist's attention.
- thekingmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Lots of people here are really pissing in the wind.
People are getting shot by other people because of some limited view or belief.
Murder is murder regardless of context.
