- EvilSpudBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Good Stuff. I dugg this not so much for this video, but for the whole body of content. He has a ton of videos covering a range of styles. So even if you don't care for this song, be sure to check out other vids by the same user. Also, kudos to the submitter for getting back into playing after 22 years.
- Minion1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0These guys are awesome!! They have all kinds of stuff. Easy songs like: Good Riddance by Green Day, to Hard stuff like: Spirit of Radio by Rush.
- EJAA, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i love these videos because of how easy they make it..
so far my favorite is the johnny cash cover of hurt... - highalpha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tim and David have some really cool videos that will help you play guitar, even if you are a newbie like me. I watched my first video on how to play "smoke on the water" and I was hooked. I am anticipating the development of their website as others have disappointed me. Keep up the good work guys!
- tx95pony50, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0EvilSpudBoy is spot on about these guys- it's not just that they're providing a valuable service by teaching only a few songs- but the portfolio of videos I've seen is impressively large and divers-and getting bigger all the time, which sounds dirty, but it isn't. I also like the way that Dave is not a pretentious prick- but really seems to enjoy teaching.
- self11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hi ! I love these videos ! i can simply learn every great songs ! It was very good idea to make it! I think Dave and friends will post more songs! Everyday I'm looking on YouTube.com for new videos ! Thanks for it ! Good luck ^^
- Sarahminee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hello there. Being taught to play guitar by two dudes from San Diego while watching the rain out of my window in Dublin Ireland is as surreal as the Internet can get. Having tried all other methods of learning these guys have put the fun back in plus it's free. What more could a budding guitarist want! By the way they also answer your email so go request a song. Good luck with the new web site.
- Korne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0To everyone out there just starting out playing, I cant say enough about these guys!! They make learning songs so easy that after only a few weeks I am playing songs and having fun. Whats nice is that I am not just strumming a chord, but everyone knows what song I am playing. I work alot and do not have time to learn to read music. Instead I spend my time enjoying playing songs and relaxing after a rough day. Just want to thank these guys and cant wait to see their website.
Kevin - theironfist67, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0These guys have helped me learn alot faster than video lessons I've bought out of magazines. I've been playing for about a year and have learned faster with the help of their videos. ROCK ON!
- roonels, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think every1 who plays guitar can remember the difficult first few months...i wish i had found these videos earlier in my 'career'! Dave is a great teacher and helps with all the things that beginners and even intermediate people find tricky and arent sure about. Dave explains everything u need to know. I would highly recommend Dave as a teacher and would rate these videos as a priceless learning tool. Rock on Dave....and thanks for improving me...still no Clapton though!!!
- thomkat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I recently found The Next Level Guitar website and Dave is definitely a great teacher. Their use of video really helps a beginner like me. When you learn from him you can play the guitar, not just practice the guitar. I look forward to more lessons and recommend it everyone of every ability.
- Lazyguitarist17, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I found the videos very helpful and very inspirational. The videos are broken down to help every guitarist have a path to success playing the guitar. I am definetly a much better guitarist now than I was before I stumbled upon the videos. .
- helgie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hello Good People!! - and so begins your unique introduction to David Taub and his "high energy" approach to teaching you his lesson of the week on youtube - The theme "you can do it" resonates through the lesson as David uses this enthusiastic approach to teaching you how to play a song on the guitar. The lessons (at least on youtube) are very straight forward with most geared toward the beginner or novice guitar player - the focus of the lesson is chords and strumming patterns which are taught in pieces and very easy to pick up. David's enthusiasm for teaching the guitar is infectious and makes learning fun. I would highly recommend this method and will continue until his web-site is available.
- maverick2k7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0David and Tim have put absolutely Rocking Videos that are easy to follow and are simply brilliant.
I like they way david breaks a song into different parts and gels them all together at the end. The chords, technique, strumming are covered for each part . I am a beginner guitarist and have been able to pick many songs from the Lessons posted online. Keep Rocking these Videos are absolutely amazing.. The main site www.thenextlevelguitar.com will go full online this Friday so keep rocking. - blueliner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just started learning the guitar and had already "hit a wall" I was just practicing chords off of a chord chart and didn't know where to go from there. I came across Dave's videos and it changed my whole outlook on the guitar. His instruction made it so easy to progress and now people actually recognize the songs I am playing. I highly recommend checking these videos out whether you are just a beginner or already a rockstar!
Keep up the good work guys, look forward to the new website. - Kazmi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well, what can you say. All I can say is that they want you to play guitar, unlike most of the People doing this. Finally someone tells you hoe to play, not just giving you chords and say: well play it. That just ain't possible.
I tried to play a few years ago because it wasn't fun to play. Because of Dave's videos it changed my view on playing guitar.
As most, if not all people here, i cant wait to start on what they are to put on their site. As they wrote to me and i quote
"It is really looking killer with currently over 100 lesson modules loaded"
there's going to be a lot to learn
Keep It Up Guys

PAUL. - HawaiianBB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My daughter just started playing the guitar last week, and I've played for about a year, but still a beginner. We came across Dave & Tim's videos on YouTube.com and was amazed at how well and easy they made playing! We can't wait for the website to open, but the email and link they sent with a song, was being played within minutes of being printed!
Strum patterns were always a challenge for me, but the way Dave breaks them down makes it SO much easier! My husband and I have always printed chords and tried to piece the song together ourselves, but having our own private lessons on our time, with no embarrassment makes it easy and FUN to learn!
Much Aloha to both of you! Keep up the great work and awesome videos! - sysoft, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This guy can rock and teach, a rare combination in my experience. I have just started to learn guitar again after a gap of some 20 years and I have made more progress in a week than I did in a month all those years ago. His enthusiasm is infectious and the teaching material is way cool.
- Napoloso, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love these guys, they are amazing for the hard work
they put into these videos and listening to the viewers.
They make guitar playing so easy, and fun, I haveen
seen several online guitar tutorial services before,
but they dont offer what these guys offer, and that is
the inspirational words and suport. With just a few videos
i have learn a lot about chord shapes and tunnings without
any effort, when i least expected i had memorized them, why?
cause it was fun watching and playing and learning.. so all i gotta
ay is thanks to David and Tim for their amazing work. - Heico, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just what i was looking for. Enthusiasm, good songs and good explanation of the cords and rhythm of the songs.
These guys encouraged me to play again. Go check out some of their vids on YouTube or Google. I can assure you that Dave will make you want to go play the guitar! Like they say: "You want it"..."YOU GOT IT".
Rock ON everybody!!!!!
And go check out their website: nextlevelguitar.com
It's brand new! - andreinavilla23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I found out about this web page some time ago and let me tell you it's awesome; easy to use, and accessible. So if you haven't checked it out yet please do because it's totally worth it. Besides this is not the regular boring guitar lessons that your used to, THESE ROCK!! and with such a character as David Taub leading the lesson, well imagine how much fun it is. I gotta say that I started playing some time ago, right about the same time I found this out and I HAVEN'T been able to put down the guitar...Try it out, you wont regret it, believe me!!!!!
- RegansTheMan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0These guys are awesome! I've learned so much from their videos, and can finally play a few songs and actually hear the song while I'm playing it. Keep Rockin!
- alvan07, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think it is awesome what they are doing! I bought my guitar about 3 years ago and I have never really learned how to play it, but with the help of Dave and nextlevelguitar.com it has changed! Now I can't stop trying and I find myself practicing every free minute I have. It's a great idea to explain everything by showing it on video. If you like playing the guitar or if you would like to learn it, or even if you want to listen to cool songs being played on the guitar, you should check out nextlevelguitar.com!!! You won't regret it!!! Rock on!
