      well, you have to give them a little slack. 99% of these kinda pictures are posted anonymously on sites like 4chan, and then distributed to forums along the known edge of the interweb. it'd require a lot of investigation to figure out where most of these pictures actually came from, let alone their authors. You can safely assume it's coming from either SA or one of it's many spawn like 4chan or ytmnd.

      I have a problem with someone making no effort at all to try and say where their material came from. How hard is to put, "Images collected from 4Chan", like the YTMND mentioned above does?
      Not to mention Kontraband slapping their own watermark on the images shows the extent of their content-stealing, as the watermark implies that Kontraband is the creator/ owner of the content. Kontraband is fundamentally akin to EBaum's world in terms of content theft: shameless, blatant, unapolegetic, and greedy.

As I understand it, alot of these cat image macros are posted in topics usually on Saturday (or 'cat'urday) to push all the furry porn off of /b/ that was posted the previous day (4chan hates furries. This is something I could never understand because they post worse things) The cat topics usually end when they get bored, someone changes the topic, or posts Zippo Cat (a sequence of images that depict a cat being drenched in lighter fluid and set on fire. Like I said, worse things)

      I'd reccomend looking elsewhere for these images. I often view 4chan's /b/ as a modern day version of a horde of barbarians

The 4channers just took a random picture, someone else's "credit", and slapped a comment on it. Not a lot of effort involved, and since everyone in /b/ is anonymous, you can't credit them if you wanted to.
