@fuse No. I'd prefer that all references to "perfection" be taken out of every politician's vocabulary. There is no such thing. (see comment)

Hurt recruitment? West Point should be enough of a draw for young men.. West Point has a great football tradition and great academics. If you have to lure cadets to WP with promises of the NFL, then that recruit has no business being there. (see comment)

Explain to me how groveling to Europe for our imperfection accomplishes anything resembling global leadership. No nation is perfect, but to focus on that fact is not constructive for good governance. I just don't know why he is focusing on the negati … (see comment)

It was just a weird way of stating an apparent fact. Why oppose the terms president from citizen? Maybe it was just an awkward turn of phrase, but he should be more careful. He is a senator AND a citizen. If he's elected he would be a president AND … (see comment)

He didn't get the clue that the president IS a citizen. No American is above the law - just ask Richard Nixon about his special privileges. I just hope that when he does assume power he doesn't think he is at some new plateau above the citizenry. He'll … (see comment)

"I know my country has not perfected itself" Gag me, Obama. Going prostrate and begging Europe for forgiveness? What happened to taking a posture of leadership? I can't say I've decided between Obama and McCain yet, but at least McCian is just a g … (see comment)

It's clear this man actually cares about our republic. I'm proud to have voted for him and only wish he were the GOP nominee. Glad to see he is staying true to his principles and active. (see comment)

I can't say I'm sympathetic. The American taxpayer funded his education so that he would become an officer and lead men into battle - not play professional sports. If he wanted to play in the NFL he shouldn't have gone to a military academy. There are … (see comment)

Why is this necessary, though? It's a waste of tax dollars and flatly anti-gun ownership. Almost any functional gun will fetch more then $100 in a gun shop. Let the private sector deal with this. (see comment)
