A really great article that succintly tells the story of the election from Bush's win to Obama's campaign success...all through the stories of "the 3 Ashleys."

McCain says he "Really didn't love America", Fox censors it

gwayogwayo sent a shout to wannabemorphy   21 days ago
WHOA!!!! This is huge. There goes the right-wing hullabaloo condemning Michelle for saying that this campaign has made her proud of her country more than before. McCain here also says that before his experience as a POW he "didn't love America" as much as he did when he was deprived of it. And then FOX completely edits it out of the final showing.

Why Don't We Talk About McCain's Heroism More?

FTA: "My challenge to all of us is to show we're unified by reading Senator McCain's account. Our friends on the Left may not vote for him, but I don't see how they can consider themselves informed without confronting much harder truths than they're willing to admit."

Puff-Piece Features about Philosophy Do the World No Good

This rather obnoxious rant probably brings up, on a larger scale, the issue of our election fervor (the election is a very practical concern), which I admit to participating in. I think one reason why the Founders may have thought we would be happy with no votes directly cast for the President was that they thought we would be focused on the bigger issues. Not just those of day-to-day living, but making sense of our own lives and why we value what we do.
