Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 06/05/2007
Well, the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem! Now let's hope they concentrate on some more PSP killer titles. (see comment)

Sony to publish mobile games in Europe
Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 05/31/2007
It's microsoft who should be mobilizing really... Nintendo has DS after all, and Sony has (in theory, it seems to forget!) PSP (see comment)

S.TA.L.K.E.R. is coming to mobiles
Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 03/19/2007
That looks lovely, though I have to agree with bonkers1 that it hardly looks as good as Metroid, say. But when will it come out? If the delay in the original game is anything to go by... 2012? (see comment)

PlayStation home to be accessible via PSP and mobile!

The strange thing -- and the question mark -- is why Phil Harrison didn't mention it at GDC last week? My hunch is they're going to do a similar announcement for a PSP version 2... but it could be something like an inability to work out the DRM issues or … (see comment)

Rumour: PSP 2.0 to be announced at E3?
Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 03/13/2007
e3 is not no more -- it's become a cut down invite-only event (still thousands of journalists and trade attending) in Santa Monica this May. (see comment)

10 games that would be incredibly cool on the Nintendo DS

I vote GoldenEye please, but the SCUMM point and clickers would be great if reinvented to get around the problem on homebrew (i.e. it was hard enough finding the secret key or door knob or whatever on a PC sized monitor!) (see comment)

Sorry, I should have said "reveals details", really. Such as you're going to be able to play as girl Lyra or her bear, who you'll also be able to ride and fight evil with, etc. Makes a change from Harry Potter, anyway! (see comment)

23 places to get free PSP content (legally!)
Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 02/26/2007
Sony is the company that ought to be pulling this together. iTunes crossed with Ebay crossed with sort of Digg voting to rank free content -- that'd help for sure. In the meantime hunting about the list is kinda fun. (see comment)

ElFozzie, says "IF they can get it right..." Make that "IF they can listen to people..." Not making a specific phone is a start (let alone not making a dumb specific phone...) (see comment)

Sony's latest financial report reveals PSP sales collapse
Comment in News (25 diggs, 0 replies) - on 01/31/2007
Interesting theory... I know all Diggers love their homebrew, but could it really affect the mass-market sales on such a level? Not saying you're wrong, but hard to believe PSP gamers on the whole are the sort who know about homebrew in their millions. Ha … (see comment)

The Real Reason Male Gamers pick on Female Gamers *not what you think*

I read this at first as "The Real Reason Why Male Gamers PICK UP Female Gamers" Like, why wouldn't you! Shared Oblivion on the sofa, and a pair of hands to help ensure you keep levelling up if you take a comfort break ;) (see comment)

iPod gets a first-person-shooter game... without Apple's permission
Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 01/25/2007
I'm genuinely shocked by how nippy that thing looks. Presumably Apple are shipping Web-style games for iPod so far because they don't want to confuse consumers –– they're going for the lowest-common-denominator, iPod platform-wise, in other words, so they … (see comment)

Can gaming magazines survive?
Comment in News (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 01/12/2007
Yep misologist, you're surely right in terms of numbers. It's an interesting one -- I suspect while all online will eventually dominate, gaming is a special case. It's hard to think of another field where quite so many people are prepared to write for fre … (see comment)

Can gaming magazines survive?

Nice article and cool to see something from a gamers POV instead of a big media theorist type, but his info on journalists in print versus web is out of date, I suspect. He mentions Edge in the article (which is a good mag I agree) and I know for a fact o … (see comment)

Why 2007 will be the best year for Nintendo DS yet
Comment in News (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 12/31/2006
Sim City is inspired, that's something no other console can do. But if I could only take one to a desert island / airport lounge, it'd be zelda. We all know that's gonna be out the park. (see comment)

Confirmed: Zune gaming being considered by Microsoft
Comment in News (1 digg, 1 reply) - on 12/19/2006
this has to be a no brainer for MS. they can feed it into their Xbox Live Anywhere network, and they don't have a handheld so it's the next best thing. (of course they might not have an MP3 player for long if they don't sort it out, but that's for another … (see comment)
