While it is hard for him, I think he can also opt for other ad networks like adbrite where they allow you to choose your advertisers before showing it on your website. (see comment)

nice article for starters who are not familiar with the frills. Google Apps for your domain or Windows Life Community Builder would be a good one to have them emails for your domain imo. (see comment)
