He's not the first MMA guy to have trouble with the law. Most of the fighters don't have celebrity status though so it isn't reported outside MMA sites. Anyway I wouldn't expect better from MMA athletes compared to other sports. (see comment)

He made a really really bad choice here. All he had to do was pull over and nothing would have happened (pay some higher insurance rates, go to traffic school maybe), even after the initial hit and run it would have been far better to pull over then lead … (see comment)

It's a lot more distorted then that. It's like Trevor beat tiger on a single hole if you only count putting. He actually lost if you count all the strokes, and oh yea, he wasn't actually playing against tiger, but tiger's caddy (which he lost to). (see comment)
