good point. I haven't tried Vista recently, and only saw it just as it was released when on the (12 month old) existing hardware, it ran like a total dog. The only person I know who switched from Vista did so because of the video editing (they got a Mac … (see comment)

@max1018 No iLife? Here's the thing. The cheapest Mac costs £700 in the UK. A decent Lenovo laptop (similar build quality) costs £400. With that £300, I can buy Adobe Premiere and Cakewalk, and install Picasa which are superior software to what's in iLife … (see comment)
