Banshee runs on Mono which is the open source implementation of .NET. Mono does run on windows. I suspect the reason it wont run on mono in windows is due to the use of *nix filesystem paths (see comment)

I've seen a huge drop after using FFb4 for a day. I go to lots of sites, open and close tons of tabs. Instead of ballooning up to like 600 megs used it stays around 200. That's a huge improvement in my eyes (see comment)
