Good point, I hadn't considered tank size as a safety measure. Some manufacturers break it like BMW with the 7.3 gal adventure. And some get way too carried away like the Ducati Hypermotard at 3.3 gal. Personally I'm glad to hear the 'gentleman's agreeme … (see comment)

Nice write up! My friend rode through Laos on a small motorcycle after a very long ordeal with customs agents. Strangely he was only able to bring in a small displacement motorcycle because of safety. He said it was gorgeous. (see comment)
