The Democrats have a deeply held belief that high oil prices will spur alternative energy development. True enough. Unfortunately, they have been part of the dithering that has prevented any real development of alternative AND traditional sources of energy for the last 25 years. People like Al Gore tell us these prices are necessary, while he flies around in his Gulfstream jet. We have to break the elitist's grip on our political process.
