Wow, Athetists disregarding facts to support their cause. Shocking! Franklin, Jefferson & Lincoln weren't atheists. Any moron who has read their writing would know that. Unrelated note: Whoever codes Digg's javascript should be fired. It doesn't work on … (see comment)

Why Mozilla is committed to Gecko as WebKit popularity grows

Look, Gecko is a very good rendering engine. But from a developer perspective, it is big, bloated, and very unwieldly. This is important because as an open source project, how quickly/easily new developers can get involved in the project is important. We … (see comment)

Yeah, at least with Apple's lock in you don't have to worry about them pulling the plug, as Microsoft has done with Play4Sure, and Yahoo has done with their DRM, and so on. I remember in the mid 90's everyone would tell me not to buy a Mac because "Apple … (see comment)

Uh, yeah, Apple does dominate the personal music player market. They are the #1 music retailer - digital download or physical CDs, and they sell over 70% of the digital music players in the market. If that doesn't qualify as dominating, I don't know what … (see comment)

Digg is a has been. Yahoo's Buzz drives more traffic now. Since Digg has an advertising agreement in place with Microsoft, I doubt Google would be interested in them. I could see MS purchasing them though. (see comment)

iTunes activation servers go down, told to activate at home!
Comment in News (-1 diggs, 0 replies) - on 07/11/2008
My iPhone 3G finally activated about 20 minutes ago. I was out of the store at 8:20AM, and it took 7 hours for them to get their shite together long enough for iTunes to activate it. I love Apple, but this, along with MobileMe's launch, is a massive, garg … (see comment)

Actually, AT&T's service has been surprisingly good. The fail for this falls squarely with Apple, as the final step of activation is through the iTunes Store, which is currently overwhelmed. (see comment)

BFD. You are getting a faster network. Did you really expect to pay the same price for the unlimited data plan? Yes, whatever you do, don't buy an iPhone 3G. When they come out on July 11, don't go to the Apple Store, don't wait in line, and don't pony u … (see comment)
