51 recipients 2 hr 11 min agoWhen driving I always remember to have my seat belt on to make sure that I will still be alive when car accident occurs. You never know when it’s going to happen because no matter how safe you are as a driver that doesn’t mean there aren’t any dangerous drivers on the roads…so don’t take any chances!
It was not from yesterday that the seat belt was invented. Edward J. Hock invented the safety belt back in the 50’s and was first used by the Ford Motor Company. His idea was accepted by the naval authorities in 1955 and he was rewarded $20.50 for his invention, a letter of recognition, a picture with military “brass”, and a newspaper article to his credit. more …
