The department's rules say Tasers are for use with violently aggressive subjects, and Tasing in the neck is for lethal force situations (it's more likely to cause a heart attacks) only. Tasing simply to force drunks to follow orders when you pick them up … (see comment)

Hackers Dissect Apple TV to Create the Cheapest Mac Ever
Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 04/07/2007
I confess it, I screwed up on the Pentium 4: I was under the impression that newer Pentium Ms were in the Pentium 4 family, and I was wrong. We didn't say the machine cost $250. In fact, the second sentence of the story says "the $300 device, making i … (see comment)

"To whom it may concern: file-sharing is illegal"
Comment in News (18 diggs, 1 reply) - on 03/13/2007
The headline here is a little deceptive. In the letter itself, the author refers specifically to distributing copyrighted materials as illegal, not just file-sharing any old thing. (see comment)

I always thought that Gibson's cyberspace should be realized as a kind of sinister arcadian paradise, hazy and unreal, but otherwise realistic enough. Users refer to items using the universal language of the matrix, but each has skinned it for themselves. (see comment)
